Crisp (elbow) could play in a minor league game Tuesday, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports.
He took some swings in the cage Monday morning and will play catch on the field later in the day, and if everything goes well, he will be able to get back into game action Tuesday. Considering how little he has gotten to play this spring, Crisp may start the season on the DL, and the team will be able to backdate the stay as long as he only plays in minor league games for the rest of spring.

The A's remain optimistic that Crisp (elbow) will be ready for Opening Day, CSN California's Joe Stiglich reports.
The plan is for Crisp to play Tuesday and get an off day Wednesday with the hope of being ready for the opener. The A's won't rule out a trip to the disabled list for Crisp, but manager Bob Melvin says Crisp can be ready with minimal prep time. Obviously drafting Crisp is an acceptance that there will be stretches where he misses time due to injury, because he always does, but it would nonetheless be a shame if he started off the season on the DL.

Crisp (elbow) surprisingly took the field for a workout Thursday afternoon, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Crisp was expected to get the day off, but he may be progressing a bit faster than previously anticipated. He still hopes to be ready by Opening Day, after getting a cortisone shot Tuesday.

Crisp (elbow) was treated with a cortisone shot Tuesday and will be out a few more days, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Crisp was scratched from Tuesday's Cactus League lineup with a sore elbow, and the team promptly ordered a cortisone shot in hopes of speeding up his recovery. Billy Burns got the start in left field and led off for the A's on Tuesday, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored.

Crisp was scratched from the lineup in Tuesday's spring game due to a sore elbow, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chromicle.
Crisp returned to the lineup a week ago after an elbow injury, but it is not good news that the elbow soreness has resurfaced. He is day-to-day for now, but the returned soreness in the same area has to be a concern for the A's and fantasy owners.
Tue Mar 17 201511:57Crisp back in A's lineup on Tuesday
Crisp is back in the A's lineup on Tuesday.
It appears Crisp is over the elbow injury that has kept him out of the lineup for over a week. Crisp returns to his new spot in left field and should be good to go for Opening Day, unless yet another malady pops up first.
Sun Mar 15 201519:26Crisp (elbow) expected to rejoin lineup Tuesday
Crisp (elbow) is expected to rejoin the lineup Tuesday, mlb.com's Jane Lee reports.
Crisp resumed hitting Sunday afternoon, after taking a few days off from baseball activities during the week. His triceps strain doesn't seem to be a big issue, as an MRI revealed no structural damage.
Sun Mar 15 201513:17Crisp (elbow) will hit Sunday
Crisp (elbow) will hit Sunday, John Hickey of Bay Area News Group reports.
Crisp has a lower-right triceps strain, but an MRI earlier in the week came back clean, so he does not have any structural damage. He may be limited for a few days, but it doesn't look to be anything serious.

Crisp (elbow) will re-start baseball activities on Friday or Saturday, reports John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Crisp's MRI came back clean so it appears that he will be ready for the start of the season. Of course, with Coco comes injury risk and it is not a good sign that he is having injury issues.
Tue Mar 10 201519:00Coco Crisp: (Elbow) MRI Shows No Structural Damage
Crisp's MRI showed no structural damage in his elbow, but he will still miss at least a few more days, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
This is good news in general, but it's still something to watch with Crisp in the coming weeks. That said, it sounds like he will be good to go for Opening Day if he can avoid any setbacks.

Crisp (elbow) underwent an MRI on Tuesday but the results were inconclusive, Matt Kawahara of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Crisp continues to be listed as day-to-day, but he'll undergo an MRI later Tuesday, and the team expects more information Wednesday morning. Following the MRI, a more accurate return timetable should be available.
Mon Mar 9 201512:15Coco Crisp: Day-To-Day With Elbow Strain
Crisp has a lower right triceps strain and is listed as day-to-day, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
He was seen wearing a sleeve over his elbow and will sit out Monday and Tuesday but could return to game action later this week. Injuries have bothered Crisp in recent years but there are no recent elbow ailments on his track record so hopefully he can put the issue behind him in short order.
Sun Mar 8 201520:06Crisp dealing with sore elbow
Crisp is dealing with a sore elbow, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Crisp will be held out of the lineup Monday, but he may return as soon as Tuesday. He's expected to spend most of his time in left field this season, despite strictly playing center field the past two years.

The A's are planning on moving Crisp to left field for the 2015 season, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chroniclet.
The A's are making the move in order to keep Crisp healthier during the season after he missed a total of 36 games in 2014. Crisp also has a very poor arm in the outfield and moving to left would mitigate that weakness. Crisp hit only .246 with nine homers and 19 stolen bases in 2014 as he dealt with a lingering neck issue for most of the season after crashing into the wall in early May.

Crisp will likely miss the start of the Cactus League season due a to case of pinkeye, reports John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group.
Crisp suffered from pinkeye in September of 2012 and amazingly has contracted it again. The few days should not affect Coco being ready for the start of the regular season in any way. The A's were already planning on limiting Crisp's appearances in center field early in the spring in order to keep him fresh.
Wed Oct 1 201400:11Coco Crisp: Tweaks Hamstring In Wild Card Game
Crisp was pulled from Tuesday's A.L. wild card game after tweaking his hamstring, according to the TBS broadcast.
He left in the middle of the 11th inning, and was replaced by Jonny Gomes. Consider Crisp day-to-day moving forward.

Crisp was 2-for-2 with three walks on Thursday, reaching base all five times he was at the plate.
Amazingly, thanks to the A's revolting late season offense, Crisp did not score any runs despite being on base five times. He was caught stealing once and only has 19 stolen bases on the year. After a 2013 season season where Crisp hit 22 homers, his 9 in 2014 is a definite disappointment, but it is very likely that Crisp has not really been totally healthy since smashing into the wall making a catch in early May.
Sat Sep 20 201413:26Crisp not in lineup Saturday against Phillies
Crisp is not in the lineup Saturday against the Phillies.
This looks like nothing more than a routine day off for Crisp, who hasn't fared particularly well against Phillies starter Jerome Williams (4-for-21). Crisp will yield center field and leadoff duties to Sam Fuld following 14 consecutive starts.
Sat Sep 13 201401:02Crisp 0-4 on Friday night to drop average on season to .254
Crisp was 0-for-4 on Friday night to drop his average on the season to .254.
As Coco goes, usually so does the A's, so it is no coincidence that they are both in the tank in the second half. Crisp is under .200 since the All-Star Break with only two homers and three steals in 151 at-bats. Crisp has had a neck issue that has bugged him most of the year, but he is clearly not helping the A's or fantasy owners down the stretch this season.

Crisp went 2-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Saturday in the A's win over Houston.
After returning to the lineup Friday night, Crisp has already made an impact with a 3-for-9 stretch at the plate along with three steals in the last two games. The usual caveats apply, but he appears to be healthy again after a five-game absence.
