MRI results came back negative on Chris Kaman's sore right knee, and he's cleared to play vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

Kaman may actually start at center with Pau Gasol (groin) out at least a week. He's worth a look for fantasy owners needing a short-term burst of production at center, as he's averaged 11.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in five starts this season.

Chris Kaman did not play due to coach's decision on Friday, but could theoretically join the rotation if Pau Gasol misses time with a groin and/or foot injury.

Kaman typically sits on the outside of the rotation looking in until something like a Pau Gasol absence happens, and then he'll get called upon for a somewhat solid workload and put up serviceable numbers. We're not saying that's going to happen, but owners shouldn't be surprised if it does in the event Pau misses time.

Kaman was dealing with an ankle injury but was activated against the Bucks on Tuesday and hasn't seen a minute since. We're taking him off the injury report until an injury is reported in the L.A. media.

Kaman's ankle isn't 100 percent healthy, and he should be avoided in all fantasy leagues with Pau Gasol (illness) also returning to action.

Kaman finished with 19 points, 10 boards, one steal and three blocks in 30 minutes on Friday. Pau Gasol (illness) shouldn't be out too long, so it's not worth bending over backwards to add Kaman.

Chris Kaman started in place of Pau Gasol (illness) and 10 points, a season-high 17 rebounds and three blocks in 28 minutes on Saturday, but hit just 5-of-17 shots.

He's been griping about his playing time lately and got an opportunity from Mike D'Antoni tonight. He scored six points on Friday, but didn't even play in the previous three games. In fact, before Friday, he had appeared in just one game in the Lakers previous 12. While Saturday was encouraging, we're going to have to see Kaman do something of note on a night when Gasol is healthy, although the thing he'll likely do best is ruin any hopes of Jordan Hill getting heavy minutes for the Lakers.

Although coach Mike D'Antoni is not entirely to blame, as we saw a similar situation play out in Dallas last year. Perhaps it's time for this big man to look in a big mirror.

Chris Kaman returned to the lineup after a nine-game absence against the Thunder on Friday, playing 12 minutes for nine points, two boards, one assist and one block.

He didn't check in until the fourth quarter of a 94-74 game and he was called for traveling on his first possession of the game. Kaman has fallen out of favor with coach Mike D'Antoni has has finite value in fantasy leagues.

He said he doesn't know if he will play and has missed nine games. Kaman did have a couple back flare ups over that span, but he's dressed for a handful of games without seeing action during that span. Jordan Hill looks like the man to own next to Pau Gasol while Kaman barely has any value.

He missed shootaround today and Mike D'Antoni said his big man's back has been an issue again. Kaman might need some time to get back to full health and could miss multiple games. For what it's worth, he was available to return on Nov. 27, but he hasn't been on the court at all. Kaman has very little fantasy value.

Jordan Hill has cooled off quite a bit, but he has very little competition for minutes and should remain owned in most formats. The Lakers have been using Shawne Williams more as a stretch four while Hill recovers from an ankle injury, so tonight's game vs. the Kings should be interesting since the Lakers have been off since Sunday. Kaman can be left on the wire in most leagues.

He's missed three games with a back issue and it's unclear how many minutes he'll see tonight. Meanwhile, Jordan Hill has been outstanding for the Lakers, so it won't make much sense for the team to take away any of his minutes.

Kaman's health is a constant concern and his role has dwindled on the Lakers bench, where he's averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.8 blocks.
