Fri Apr 4 201413:57Chris Kaman will sit again with calf strain
Chris Kaman (calf) will not play in Friday's game against the Mavs.
Kaman has a history of healing very slowly from muscle strains. With Pau Gasol (vertigo) out again, the Lakers will have only Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre as true bigs on Friday night. Look for Hill to start and bring plenty of fantasy upside.

Wed Apr 2 201420:36Chris Kaman out, Hill and Kelly starting
Chris Kaman (right calf strain) will not play against the Kings on Wednesday.
The Lakers are going to start Jordan Hill and Ryan Kelly tonight. They really only have three big men tonight with Pau Gasol (vertigo) out, so Hill and Kelly should be busy while Robert Sacre fills in. Kaman probably isn't worth stashing in fantasy leagues.

Wed Apr 2 201417:33Chris Kaman (calf) is a game-time decision
Chris Kaman (calf) is a game-time decision for Wednesday vs. the Kings.
Well, this just about sums up the Lakers' season. Pau Gasol is out, so the Lakers could miss their two big men who were expected to be in the starting lineup. If Kaman sits, it'll be a combination of Jordan Hill, Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre getting run. Mike D'Antoni could also use Wes Johnson as a stretch four.

Wed Apr 2 201411:53Chris Kaman, Pau Gasol expected to start Wed.
Mike D'Antoni said that he plans to start Chris Kaman alongside Pau Gasol again on Wednesday, despite their struggles together on Tuesday.
Kaman and Gasol shot a combined 10-of-25 from the field vs. Portland, while struggling to defend LaMarcus Aldridge. Even though D'Antoni isn't a fan of the lineup it sounds like he'll stay the course for a while longer, which is terrible news if you're relying on Jordan Hill (DNP-CD on Tuesday). "We're pretty slow footed when [Pau and Kaman] are out there," D'Antoni said. "That's the thinking before, and it probably hasn't changed much." Gasol's status for Wednesday depends upon how he feels after his first game back, so keep an eye on L.A.'s injury report.

Wed Apr 2 201401:06Chris Kaman scores 12 in 29 minutes
Chris Kaman played 29 minutes in the starting lineup against the Blazers on Tuesday with 12 points, six boards, two assists, one steal and three blocks.
He started next to Pau Gasol and looked good tonight. Kaman has fallen out of favor a handful of times with coach Mike D'Antoni, but tonight's game makes him a decent pickup despite how the Lakers defense was horrible tonight.

Mon Mar 31 201410:10Chris Kaman's role iffy once Pau returns
Mike D'Antoni isn't sure how he'll use Chris Kaman if Pau Gasol (vertigo) returns to action this week.
"I don't know. It's tough because Robert Sacre plays," said D'Antoni. "They play the same type of game and it's going to be tough. I'll try to figure that one out. Up until now, that hasn't gone too well. I'd love for him to play. But we'll have to see what happens." None of that inspires confidence, especially since Kaman's massive game on Sunday game on the heels of a six-minute game on Friday. He may be worth the gamble while Pau is out, but anyone relying on Kaman should be routinely checking the Lakers' injury report.

Mon Mar 31 201400:23Lakers win behind Chris Kaman's 28 & 17
Chris Kaman exploited the Suns' frontcourt throughout Sunday's victory, scoring a season-high 28 points on 13-of-19 shooting with 17 rebounds and six assists.
Kaman played six minutes in L.A.'s last game, which led him to complain publicly about Mike D'Antoni's rotations, but he overwhelmed the Suns' interior defense all night on Sunday. Fantasy owners willing to take a gamble may choose to deploy Kaman with four games on the schedule this week, but Pau Gasol is day-to-day and Robert Sacre could steal Kaman's minutes on any given night. Proceed with due caution.

Sun Mar 30 201414:37Chris Kaman back in the starting lineup
Chris Kaman will start against the Suns on Sunday night.
He played just six minutes on Friday and voiced his displeasure on Saturday. Kaman did log 22.0 minutes per game in his previous two which figures to be a better expectation tonight. He'll start next to Kendall Marshall, Jodie Meeks, Kent Bazemore and Jordan Hill.

Sat Mar 29 201417:59Chris Kaman vents after playing six minutes
After playing just six minutes in Saturday's blowout loss, Chris Kaman once again expressed his dissatisfaction under coach Mike D'Antoni.
Kaman's frustrated quotes have become a predictable part of Lakers' post-game interviews, but it speaks volumes that D'Antoni only played him six minutes with Pau Gasol (vertigo) unavailable. "Maybe [D'Antoni] thought he was going to go with the young guys, but Steve Nash is 40 years old," Kaman said. "He stayed with [Nash] so I'm not sure that's par for the course." Even if Gasol misses more games, it's clearly not safe to rely on Kaman for fantasy production.

Fri Mar 28 201422:51Kaman plays six minutes in start
Chris Kaman started on Friday against the Wolves and played just six minutes.
There's no word if he went to sleep on the bench tonight and because of stuff like this and Mike D'Antoni's rotations in general, Kaman is an impossible guy to trust in lineups. Robert Sacre (14 points, seven boards, zero steals or blocks) is the guy you want to look at if you're poking around this dumpster fire. Jordan Hill (10 points, seven rebounds, one steal, 24 minutes) is the guy you want to look at if you're feeling really lucky.

Thu Mar 27 201422:52Chris Kaman plays 21 minutes after being late
Chris Kaman arrived to the arena in Milwaukee on Thursday about 20 minutes before tip and was still able to start, scoring 13 points with four boards and two assists in 21 minutes.
He wasn't on the team flight to Milwaukee on Wednesday and joined the team via a commercial flight today. Kaman said he didn't talk to coach Mike D'Antoni in three weeks before Tuesday's game, but he still put up a 13-point, nine-board game. He's worth a look while Pau Gasol (illness) is out.

Thu Mar 27 201420:06Chris Kaman will start vs. Bucks
Chris Kaman will start against the Bucks on Thursday night.
He just got to the arena a few minutes ago and the Lakers are just going to throw him out there without his usual warmup regime. Start him at your own risk, but he does have some nice upside after a solid game on Tuesday.

Thu Mar 27 201418:38Chris Kaman truly game-time vs. Milwaukee
Chris Kaman (personal) has not yet rejoined the Lakers and he's a true game-time decision for Thursday's tip-off at 8pm ET.
Kaman missed the team's flight for personal reasons and took a commercial flight a while later, so he's racing against the clock to arrive at the Bradley Center in time. If he doesn't get make it the Lakers will start Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre will start with Ryan Kelly coming off the bench, contrary to previous reports.

Thu Mar 27 201413:43Chris Kaman will join Lakers in Milwaukee
Chris Kaman (personal reasons) is taking a commercial flight to join the Lakers for Thursday's game against the Bucks.
Kaman had originally stayed back in LA due to personal reasons, but will join the team in Milwaukee for Thursday's game against the Bucks. We haven't received word on whether or not Kaman will play as Ryan Kelly and Jordan Hill are reportedly starting, but we have to assume he wouldn't bother flying on a commercial flight if he didn't intend on suiting up. We'll update this situation as more news comes out, but Kaman scored 13 points to go along with nine boards on Tuesday, so he makes for a solid fantasy play as long as he suits up.

Wed Mar 26 201410:04Chris Kaman scores 13 points in start for Pau
Chris Kaman scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 23 minutes on Tuesday, while starting at center in place of Pau Gasol (vertigo).
Kaman hadn't played at all in March but he stepped up to make 5-of-10 shots with three assists and one block in a blowout win vs. the visiting Knicks. He hadn't even spoken to coach Mike D'Antoni for three weeks prior to his sudden start, and he'll likely return to DNP territory if Gasol is healthy enough to travel on the Lakers' two-game road trip beginning on Thursday.

Tue Mar 25 201414:02Chris Kaman expected to start vs Knicks Tues
Chris Kaman (foot) is expected to start against the Knicks on Tuesday.
With Pau Gasol listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game, Chris Kaman is expected to be in coach Mike D'Antoni's starting lineup. Kaman carries a 7-footer-size load of risk with him, but he was able to provide some fantasy value earlier in the year when given playing time so he could make for an interesting late-season add for as long as Gasol is out.

Mon Mar 24 201401:05Chris Kaman might start if Pau Gasol is out
Chris Kaman (foot) could start at center on Tuesday if Pau Gasol (dizziness, nausea) isn't able to play.
Kaman hasn't played since Feb. 28 and there's still a chance Gasol will recover in time to play vs. the Knicks, but this at least puts him on the radar in most leagues. He's crawled out of Mike D'Antoni's doghouse and into the starting lineup for eight games this season, during which he's averaged 14.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.

Sat Mar 22 201403:59Chris Kaman's MRI comes back negative
Chris Kaman (foot) did not play on Friday night.
The results of the MRI on his foot were negative, but he's not really even in the rotation right now. The return of Jordan Hill should keep Kaman on the bench. Luckily for the Lakers, he can't lay on the bench during games this time because they are relatively healthy right now.
