Wed Mar 28 201211:36Ben Gordon (groin) ruled out for Wednesday
Ben Gordon (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday.
Gordon hurt his groin in Monday's game and never returned to the floor. With Rodney Stuckey (toe) back in action, owners can move on from Gordon for a hot free agent at this critical juncture in the fantasy season.

Mon Mar 26 201221:18Ben Gordon leaves with groin injury
Ben Gordon left Monday's game with a groin injury and did not return.
Gordon has been up-and-down since his 45-point explosion, but this is the likely nail in the coffin to his fantasy value. Rodney Stuckey (toe) is back and appears to be healthy, so feel free to move on if you're staring at a hot free agent. Gordon finished with zero points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal on 0-for-4 shooting tonight.

Sat Mar 24 201222:13Ben Gordon scores 20 points in loss to NYK
Ben Gordon got back on track in Saturday's lopsided loss to the Knicks, scoring 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, with four 3-pointers, two assists and two steals.
Gordon was coming off a 4-of-10 shooting performance, with seven TOs, but he got hot tonight and could have had a huge game if Detroit made a greater effort to involve him. Rodney Stuckey is tentatively expected to play on Monday, so Gordon's all-you-can-shoot buffet might be closing down soon.

Sat Mar 24 201201:43Gordon scores 10 points after 45-point night
Ben Gordon followed up his 45-point explosion from Wednesday with just 10 points in the Pistons' 88-73 loss to the Heat on Friday.
Gordon hit 4-of-10 shots from the field (no threes) with four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and seven turnovers in 31 minutes. We've all seen this movie before, and the moment that Rodney Stuckey (toe) returns, owners should have no problem dropping Gordon for a hot free agent.

Thu Mar 22 201200:07Ben Gordon scores 45, goes 9-of-9 from three
Ben Gordon got a start for Rodney Stuckey, who was out with a foot injury, and blew up to hit 13-of-22 shots, 9-of-9 3-pointers and 10-of-11 free throws to finish with a season-high 45 points, along with eight assists and two steals in a tough loss to the Nuggets.
Gordon was a beast tonight and tied Latrell Sprewell's NBA record for most consecutive 3-pointers made, as well as Nicolas Batum's season high of nine 3-pointers made. He scored in double figures in just two of his last seven games, so this one could have been a fluke. Stuckey is day-to-day, but if you have someone you want to drop to take a flier on Gordon, it makes sense to see if he can stay hot.

Wed Mar 21 201222:58Alert: Ben Gordon has 42 pts, 8 3s in 3rd Q
Ben Gordon has 42 points and has made 8-of-8 3-pointers after three quarters against the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
Rodney Stuckey is out with a minor injury so Gordon got the start tonight. He's only hit double figures in two of his last seven games, but is clearly feeling it tonight. The Nuggets were also the victim of Nicolas Batum's nine 3-pointers this season, so this isn't even the first time that someone has torched them like this in 2012. Gordon is worth picking up if you have someone you're ready to drop, but there's a decent chance that this is a fluke.

Ben Gordon played 36 minutes on Sunday, but shot just 3-of-11 from the field, scoring seven points with five rebounds and five assists.
Gordon failed to knock down a three, and while the minutes played was an encouraging sign, he's been too inconsistent to be trusted in most leagues. Just keep an eye on him for now.

Fri Mar 9 201222:37Ben Gordon nets just three points on Friday
Ben Gordon mised six of his seven shots on Friday night on his way to just three points in 23 minutes of action.
We thought that Gordon was getting ready to heat up, but clearly tonight he took a step back. He still can be an asset in most fantasy leagues, but owners will have to learn to deal with his inconsistency as well.

Tue Mar 6 201223:37Ben Gordon has nice game in Tuesday's win
Ben Gordon hit 7-of-15 shots for 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal, but didn't hit a three in Tuesday's overtime win against the Lakers.
Gordon might finally be getting healthy again, as he's been dealing with ankle problems of late, so keep an eye on him if you need a scoring guard. This was easily his best game over his last five, but could be a sign he's ready to heat up again.

Mon Mar 5 201213:31Ben Gordon says he'll be fine for Tuesday
Ben Gordon (ankle) says he'll play against the Lakers Tuesday.
Gordon rolled his ankle against the Grizzlies on Saturday but returned to the game. The bigger concern for owners is that he hasn't topped 25 minutes in any of the last seven games.

Sat Mar 3 201222:38Ben Gordon returns after spraining left ankle
Ben Gordon left Saturday's game with a sprained left ankle -- he was able to return but finished 0-of-1 from the field with zero rebounds or assists.
BG and ankle injuries aren't a good mix. It seems like he avoided any serious injury, thankfully, but his status for Tuesday's game could be in danger if the ankle worsens overnight.

Tue Feb 21 201222:27Ben Gordon scores 16 points in loss
Ben Gordon came off the bench for 16 points, four rebounds and two 3-pointers on 7-of-17 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
He scored just four points in his previous game, but has hit double digits in four of his last five, making him worth a look by fantasy owners in need of 3-pointers.

Thu Feb 16 201201:11Ben Gordon scores 22 points off the bench
Ben Gordon scored 22 points off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 8-of-15 shots from the field (including four treys) with three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 28 minutes.
Gordon has been productive since returning to action from what sounded like a brutal shoulder injury, and he's certainly worth a pickup after this line. Owners need to keep in mind that his shoulder may be susceptible to re-injury, and turnovers and inconsistency have been problems this season.

Sat Feb 11 201202:08Gordon scores 14 points vs. Nets
Ben Gordon scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting (no threes) with one rebound, one steal, and three turnovers in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Gordon has been productive since his return, but not overly productive and the minutes aren't there. Coming off the bench, too, there's enough reason to simply watch before you get to the wondering how the "multiple tears" in his shoulder just went away.

Wed Feb 8 201212:24Ben Gordon ready to play on Wednesday night
Ben Gordon (shoulder) plans to play in Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Gordon has been sidelined since January 20 with the injury, but after going through a handful of practices, the veteran is ready to play. Prior to going down, Gordon was averaging 14.3 points and 1.3 treys in 33 minutes per game on 42.2 percent shooting.

Tue Feb 7 201207:29Ben Gordon still not going through contact
Ben Gordon (shoulder) still hasn't gone through contact on his shoulder and is unsure how it will respond.
Gordon was prescribed rest, and although he participated in practice on Monday, Gordon may not be as close as the team is letting on. His long-term availability will be determined by how his shoulder responds once it gets hit, and we won't know that until it happens.

Mon Feb 6 201215:48Ben Gordon returns to practice Monday
Ben Gordon (shoulder) participated in practice Monday.
Gordon hasn't played since Jan. 20, a span of 10 games. It's unlikely he'll be immediately re-inserted into the starting lineup ahead of either Brandon Knight or Rodney Stuckey. Consider Gordon questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Fri Feb 3 201212:09Ben Gordon still out on Friday for Pistons
Ben Gordon (shoulder) has been ruled out for Friday's game.
Gordon may be getting closer to a return as he was getting some shots up in shootaround, but he's not quite ready just yet. Rodney Stuckey will continue to start in Gordon's place, while Charlie Villanueva (ankle) also remains out for the Pistons.

Mon Jan 30 201220:23Gordon, Bynum, Charlie V out for road trip
Ben Gordon (shoulder), Will Bynum (foot), and Charlie Villanueva (ankle) are not with the Pistons for their current road trip, and coach Lawrence Frank doesn't anticipate them joining the team for games on Tuesday and Wednesday, either.
No surprises here. Brandon Knight and Brandon Stuckey are locked and loaded into lineups and we're not so sure that Gordon isn't going to be out longer than this road trip, too.

Sat Jan 28 201219:05Gordon, Bynum, Villanueva all out for Pistons
Ben Gordon is out again on Saturday due to a shoulder injury and remains out indefinitely.
Charlie Villanueva and Will Bynum are also out again, as guys like Rodney Stuckey and Austin Daye will continue to get extra run for the short handed Pistons.
