Tue Dec 20 201113:10Gordon out on Tuesday for personal reasons
Ben Gordon (personal) will not participate in Tuesday's preseason game.
Charlie Villanueva is also out for the same reason. Gordon isn't expected to miss much time and will serve as a sixth man in Lawrence Frank's rotation. He should see increased action and hold more fantasy appeal than he did with John Kuester at the controls, but we wouldn't recommend taking anything more than a flier on him.

Tue Aug 23 201106:56Ben Gordon calls last season "just a mess"
In a recent interview with Grantland.com, Ben Gordon called last season "just a mess".
"We had a lot of talent. There were a lot of issues in the front office, on the floor, with coaches, with players. It was just a mess. People from the outside looking in don't realize how bad it was," said Gordon. It was clear that the Pistons were a dysfunctional bunch last season with John Kuester at the helm of controls, but Gordon's quotes re-affirm that the team has a long way to go. He did praise new coach Lawrence Frank, but it's clear that the Pistons face an uphill battle in order to return to relevance.

Mon Aug 8 201108:20Ben Gordon unlikely to play for Great Britain
British Basketball officials have conceded that Ben Gordon will likely have to withdraw his name from playing for Great Britain's team for the third consecutive summer.
With the lockout in full effect, health insurance for Gordon became a serious issue for the squad. They simply can't afford the same type of coverage he would be receiving if the NBA was operating normally, but the lockout has really thrown a monkey wrench into Britain's plans for the EuroBasket tournament this summer.

Tue Apr 5 201123:07Gordon leaves game with knee injury
Ben Gordon did not play in the second half of Tuesday's loss to the Wizards due to a knee injury, finishing with nine points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes), two rebounds, and one assist in 14 minutes.
If this ends up ending his year, it can only be too soon for Pistons fans that have had to watch their big free agent signee struggle for two years. Gordon's injury will make it easier for Rip Hamilton to bounce back from his 1-of-11 outing, if indeed the injury keeps him out.

Thu Mar 31 201102:49Ben Gordon gives owners a migraine
Ben Gordon, who missed Monday's practice due to a migraine, gave his owners one on Wednesday when he failed to score in an ugly loss to the Pacers.
Gordon was 0-for-3 in 18 minutes, and remains one of the worst NBA signings in recent memory. But, of course, we could just take the easy way out and blame it all on John Kuester, whom probably has a lot to do with Gordon's ineffectiveness.

Tue Mar 29 201114:55Ben Gordon Returns to Practice
Ben Gordon returned to practice on Tuesday after missing Monday's session with a migraine headache.
Gordon has been disappointing to own once again this season. He hasn't played more than 20 minutes over his last four contests, scoring a combined 17 points over that span. As we all know, things can change rather rapidly in Detroit with John Kuester at the controls, but for now BG isn't a reliable contributor in lineups.

Mon Mar 28 201112:25Migraines keep Gordon from Monday practice
Ben Gordon was absent from team practice on Monday due to a bad migraine.
The rumor is he tried to make sense of the Pistons' rotation. Detroit isn't scheduled to play until Wednesday which should give him plenty of time to clear his head.

Sat Mar 26 201123:10Ben Gordon quiet in win over Pacers
Ben Gordon hit just 1-of-4 shots for three points in 11 minutes of Friday's win.
With Rip Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey playing well, Gordon is the odd man out, despite the absence of Tracy McGrady (back) tonight.

Sun Mar 13 201103:22Gordon scores 13 points coming off the bench
Ben Gordon was demoted to the bench in Saturday's pathetic loss to the Nuggets, but managed to score 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with six rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes.
He developed a bit of rhythm before Friday's zero-point disaster, but he's in the lower half of Pistons that we would gamble on right now.

Sat Mar 12 201100:13Ben Gordon disappears on Friday
Ben Gordon was 0-for-1 and failed to score in just 14 minutes on Friday, despite starting.
There was no word of an injury and Rodney Stuckey played very well off the bench. John Kuester is as unpredictable as any player or coach in the league right now.

Wed Mar 2 201102:09Gordon starts again, puts up 10-5-4 line
Ben Gordon got another start for John Kuester's Pistons on Tuesday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 35 minutes.
He is worth a pickup after the week he has had, but we're not calling him a must-own player with all the turmoil in Detroit.

Sat Feb 26 201122:52Ben Gordon starts at SG for Pistons
Ben Gordon started at shooting guard for the Pistons on Saturday and had 17 points, four boards, two assists and two 3-pointers in the win.
He played 34 minutes, but keep in mind that Tayshaun Prince and Tracy McGrady sat this one out - either with illness/injury or another benching from John Kuester. Either way, it reamins to be seen what Kuester is going to do going forward, while it's also mildly surprising that Will Bynum came off the bench, as Rodney Stuckey has been playing at shooting guard. If Gordon is going to stick in the starting unit, he'll be worth a close look going forward. Stay tuned for more news on the Pistons over the next couple days.
Sat Feb 26 201100:31Ben Gordon scores 16 points in strange game
Ben Gordon started in the wake of the Piston players' unofficial protest of coach John Kuester scored 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 45 minutes.
He hasn't done much over the last few weeks and certainly deserved being dropped in most formats, so we're not running to the wire to grab him after this performance. However, should the drama in Detroit appear to yield a more consistent role for him, owners should be ready to move.
Thu Feb 24 201113:39Ben Gordon could benefit from Tay's injury
Ben Gordon saw some extra minutes and a start in the second half on Wednesday due to a back injury suffered by Tayshaun Prince.
Gordon played 29 minutes, scoring just 12 points, but will have more opportunities if Prince's back keeps him out. We don't know much about Prince's injury just yet, so keep an eye out for updates.
Wed Feb 23 201100:48Ben Gordon scores 15 points off the bench
Ben Gordon scored 15 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 7-of-12 shots from the field (including a three with no rebounds, one assist, and one block in 28 minutes.
He has scored 16.5 points per game over his last two outings, but hasn't done much else, and is still far too unreliable coming of John Kuester's bench. Pick him up if you would like, but don't be surprised if he burns you in the next one.
Thu Feb 17 201100:38Ben Gordon scores 16 in win over Pacers
Ben Gordon hit 8-of-14 shots and no threes to score 18 points on Wednesday.
He's still too inconsistent to be relied upon, making him a borderline fantasy option for now. If you need to cut him, we won't be mad at you.
Mon Feb 14 201123:02Gordon scores five points off the bench
Ben Gordon scored just five points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, and one assist in 16 minutes off the bench on Monday.
He had a nice game on Sunday with 18 points, but that's not paying the bills when nights like these are around the corner. Feel free to drop him for a hot free agent.
Sun Feb 13 201121:41Ben Gordon solid despite limited minutes
Ben Gordon came off the Pistons' bench for 18 points, two 3s, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks on Sunday. He made 5-of-10 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs in 25 minutes.
While this efficient and versatile line is nice to see, he'll need more playing time in order to provide reliable fantasy value. Think about selling high if he strings together a few more solid games.
Sat Feb 12 201102:06Gordon moved to the bench and scores 16 pts
Ben Gordon was moved to the bench for Rodney Stuckey on Friday, and scored 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting (including three treys) with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 27 minutes.
You'll notice a recurring theme in the blurbs about this game, which is that it was a garbage-time blowout. However, if you're holding Gordon, seeing him produce following his demotion should earn him a day or two to prove his case.
