Fri Feb 28 201401:28Aaron Brooks scores 13 points in start
Aaron Brooks played 36 minutes against the Nets on Thursday with 13 points, two boards, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers.
He's put up some solid stats for the Nuggets in his four games with them, averaging 13.3 points, 2.5 boards, 4.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 triples on 45.7 percent from the field in that span. Those are must-start numbers right there, so he should be in all lineups until Ty Lawson (ribs) can return.

Wed Feb 26 201400:16Aaron Brooks scores 14 in start at PG
Aaron Brooks got another start on Tuesday and had 14 points, five rebounds and six assists in a loss to the Blazers.
Brooks posted a pretty serviceable line if you started him in a daily money league, but his value will be shot once Ty Lawson is back from his rib injury.

Sun Feb 23 201422:57Aaron Brooks plays 32 minutes vs. Kings
Aaron Brooks made his first start with the Nuggets on Sunday with nine points, eight assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
He shot 3-of-12 from the field and did turn the ball over in the loss. Brooks did enough tonight to reinforce the claim he'll be able to hold value while Ty Lawson (ribs) is down. Lawson doesn't have a timetable to return, so Brooks is worth a look as a short-term add in most leagues.

Sun Feb 23 201418:26Aaron Brooks will start at point guard
Aaron Brooks will start at point guard against the Kings on Sunday.
His debut was impressive with 17 points against the Bulls on Friday. The Nuggets might be cooling on the idea of playing Randy Foye as the point guard because he's clearly more comfortable on the wing, which means there could be plenty of minutes available for the former Rocket. Brooks makes a lot of sense as a spot-start tonight.

Fri Feb 21 201413:48Brooks listed as starter in place of Lawson
Aaron Brooks is listed as the Nuggets starting point guard for Friday's game at Chicago.
Ty Lawson (ribs) should be considered doubtful. The Nuggets are going to let Brooks hits the ground running after trading for him Thursday, shifting Randy Foye back to the off-guard spot. Still, Brooks is a weak fantasy add because he's facing an elite Bulls defense and Lawson is merely day-to-day. Evan Fournier and Foye will also see some minutes at the point.

Thu Feb 20 201413:42Rockets deal Aaron Brooks for Jordan Hamilton
Sources tell Yahoo that the Rockets have traded Aaron Brooks to the Nuggets for Jordan Hamilton.
Brooks found himself buried behind Pat Beverley and Jeremy Lin in Houston, taking a DNP-CD in four of the last six games. But he fills a need in Denver, who have a hole at backup point guard with Nate Robinson (ACL tear) done, Andre Miller traded and shooting guard Randy Foye starting at point guard while Ty Lawson (ribs) is out. Once Lawson returns, we'd expect Brooks to max out at 16-20 minutes a night.

Mon Jan 20 201423:59Aaron Brooks plays one minute vs. POR
Aaron Brooks played one minute in garbage time against the Blazers on Monday.
He didn't register any stats and had no shots. Brooks had a good run, but the Rockets won't nee him with Patrick Beverley back in the fold.

Sun Jan 19 201400:39Aaron Brooks scores 10 points off the bench
Aaron Brooks scored 10 points off the bench with four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes on Saturday vs. the Bucks.
This will likely be his last chance for significant minutes with Patrick Beverley coming back on Monday. Brooks owners should be looking for an alternative option.

Fri Jan 17 201400:34Aaron Brooks scores 11 points vs. Thunder
Aaron Brooks (knee) played 24 minutes in his return to the lineup on Thursday with 11 points, two boards, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.
He got a little extra playing time with Jeremy Lin not paying much attention to Reggie Jackson. Brooks sat out Wednesday's game as a precaution and looked healthy for the most part tonight. Patrick Beverley should be back next week, which will take the wind out of the sails of Brooks' fantasy value.

Thu Jan 16 201421:12Aaron Brooks says he's playing on Thursday
Aaron Brooks (knee) said he's playing against the Thunder on Thursday.
He added he'll be out there unless he twists something in warmup. Brooks' playing time is going to drop quite a bit with Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons healthy. Plus, with Patrick Beverley targeting a return next week, there's little reason to pick up Brooks in almost any format.

Wed Jan 15 201418:54Aaron Brooks will not play on Wednesday
Aaron Brooks (knee) will not play against the Pelicans on Wednesday.
The Rockets are just holding him out as a precaution and his knee tendinitis does not appear to be serious. Brooks' minutes dropped to just 15 on Monday and he only attempted two shots, so the Rockets won't need him much with Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin ready to go to help James Harden.

Wed Jan 15 201413:01Aaron Brooks (knee) game-time vs. Pelicans
Aaron Brooks (knee tendinitis) will be a game-time decision vs. the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Brooks has one double-digit scoring game in the past two weeks, so even if he can't play it shouldn't impact fantasy lineups.

Fri Jan 10 201423:26Aaron Brooks plays 27 minutes vs. Hawks
Aaron Brooks played 27 minutes off the bench against the Hawks on Friday, scoring 13 points with three boards, one assist and three 3-pointers.
The Rockets went with a smaller lineup in much of this game and it didn't work with their season-low 80 points. Brooks didn't crack 21 minutes in any of his previous three games, so there's little reason to pick him up unless it's just as a plug-and-play vs. the Wizards on Saturday. Chandler Parsons (knee) could miss that game and it would help Brooks' value.

Sun Dec 29 201322:25Aaron Brooks scores 17 points off bench
Taking advantage of extra opportunities in a blowout loss, Aaron Brooks came off the bench for 17 points, three 3-pointers, two assists, one steal and one block vs. OKC on Sunday.
He didn't turn the ball over in 23 minutes of action and there's not much to glean from this game for fantasy purposes. The Rockets' backup PG will have occasional outbursts, at least until Patrick Beverley (hand) returns, but he's too sporadic to be relied upon in 12-team leagues.

Fri Dec 27 201313:54Aaron Brooks will play vs. Pelicans on Sat.
Aaron Brooks (ankle) will play against the Pelicans on Saturday.
He suffered a minor ankle sprain on Thursday's game and had his ankle re-taped following the injury, but never made it on the court. Brooks' minutes have taken a bigger hit than expected with Jeremy Lin over his back issue, so it might be time to cut him in most formats.

Thu Dec 26 201323:21Aaron Brooks doesn't return from ankle sprain
Aaron Brooks twisted his ankle in Thursday's game against the Grizzlies and had it re-taped, but he did not return.
He was expected to return to the game, but the Rockets didn't need him with Jeremy Lin and James Harden handling the backcourt minutes. Brooks finished with six points, one rebound, two assists and no turnovers on 3-of-7 shooting in 15 minutes. His value seems to have taken a dive now that Lin in back.

Wed Dec 25 201323:28Aaron Brooks scores six points off the bench
Aaron Brooks moved back to the bench in Wednesday's victory over the Spurs, playing 14 minutes for six points, one rebound, no assists and two 3-pointers.
He was a big help for the Rockets with Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley dealing with injuries last week, but Brooks was never really more than a stop-gap option. Fantasy owners should probably lower their expectations with Lin back and ready to play big minutes again.

Tue Dec 24 201302:11Brooks posts 18-3-5 line with four threes
Aaron Brooks scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, five assists and a block in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday.
With James Harden and Patrick Beverley out the result isn't surprising and Brooks should return plenty of value in the midst of the Rockets' five-game week. It's also possible that he holds some lower-end value when Harden returns, so give him a hard look with the hopes he can be productive over the next few weeks.

Sun Dec 8 201322:09Aaron Brooks struggles again, scores two pts
Aaron Brooks' recent slide continued with two points, one assist and three turnovers in 13 bench minutes vs. the Magic on Sunday.
Jeremy Lin (knee) is targeting a return this week, possibly Thursday, which is one more compelling reason to jettison Brooks in standard leagues. It was fun while it lasted.
