Wroten scored 22 points (9-21 FG, 1-4 3P, 3-8 FT) with eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 103-91 loss to the Pacers.
Ugly free throw shooting aside, Wroten filled up the box score very nicely on Wednesday, and he should continue to see big minutes at least as long as Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) is sidelined.
Sat Oct 18 201418:08Wroten will miss Saturday's game for personal reasons
Wroten will miss Saturday's game for personal reasons, Max Rappaport of the team's official site reports.
Wroten's reason for missing the game wasn't specified beyond personal, but it shouldn't keep him out for too long and he should be fine for the beginning of the regular season.

Wroten scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3P, 2-3 FT) with seven assists, six rebounds and a steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's preseason game against the Hornets.
No matter how well he plays this preseason, Wroten will almost certainly head to the bench once Michael Carter-Williams is back on the court after his shoulder surgery, but he should be a useful weapon (perhaps the only useful weapon) in the Sixers' second unit this season.
Thu Sep 25 201417:17Wroten will open season as Sixers' backup point guard
Wroten will open the season as the Sixers' backup point guard, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
Wroten will serve as the starter to open the preseason while Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) recovers from labrum surgery, but when the rookie of the year returns, Wroten will return to the bench. The Washington product started 16 games last season, averaging 24.5 minutes overall. He's not an efficient shooter (42.7% FG, 21.3% 3Pt), but on a bad Sixers team he figures to once again see his fair share of minutes.
Wed Apr 16 201409:51Tony Wroten becoming a more judicious passer
Tony Wroten said that he's learned to "pick his spots" for passes this season, to cut down on his 2.8 turnovers per game.
"This season, I learned a lot," Wroten said. "I don't try to make the home runs as much. I try to make the right play." While his passing is a work in progress, there's nothing wrong with Wroten's ability to get into the paint -- he took a whopping 72.4 percent of his FG attempts within eight feet of the hoop this season.

Mon Apr 14 201422:35Tony Wroten scores 20 off the bench
Tony Wroten scored 20 points off the bench during Monday's 113-108 win over the Celtics, adding two boards, four assists, two steals and seven turnovers.
The Sixers had a 26-game losing streak this year, but they won't have the worst record because they were out-tanked by the Milwaukee Bucks. Wroten was horrible with the Grizzlies last season, had one of the worst showings of any player in Las Vegas Summer League, and yet he was still able to play well with the Sixers this season.

Sat Apr 12 201401:39Wroten scores 18 points off the bench
Tony Wroten scored 18 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 6-of-14 shots (0-for-3 from deep, 6-of-8 from the line) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 21 minutes.
Wroten has been very inconsistent lately but he could be ready to heat up. James Anderson was limited to just five points, three rebounds, one three and one block in his 30 minutes, and it's possible these two will trade off having serviceable games going forward.

Sat Mar 29 201422:22Tony Wroten scores just six points off bench
Tony Wroten returned to action on Saturday with six points, six boards, nine assists and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes vs. the Pistons.
His ankle injury only cost him three games and he looked fine. Wroten has one of the more unique shot selections in the NBA with only four of his 263 shots coming in the mid-range over his past two months. He's solved his field goal shooting woes to go with some points and steals, so he's worth owning in certain situations.

Sat Mar 29 201418:26Tony Wroten (ankle) ready to play vs. Detroit
Tony Wroten (ankle) will return to action on Saturday, as expected.
Wroten will come off the bench where he's averaging 13 fewer minutes and six fewer points compared to his starts this season. It's a favorable matchup for Wroten's attacking style since the Pistons have given up the sixth-most field goals within five feet of the hoop, despite having a huge frontcourt with Andre Drummond protecting the rim.

Sat Mar 29 201417:16Tony Wroten (ankle) probable vs. Detroit
Tony Wroten (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday's game vs. Detroit.
Wroten sat out Philly's recent three-game road trip and his return is welcome news as the Sixers try to avoid losing their 27th consecutive game, which would set a new NBA record. Wroten will likely steal a few minutes from starting SG James Anderson, as well as fantasy also-rans like Hollis Thompson, Jarvis Varnado, Elliot Williams and James Nunnally.

Sat Mar 22 201418:51Tony Wroten (ankle) out for three-game trip
Tony Wroten will miss the entire three-game road trip, according to coach Brett Brown.
That rules his out on Monday vs. the Spurs and Thursday vs. the Rockets. Wroten was playing well and gave the Sixers a nice jolt on the wing to help make opposing defenses collapse, but now they'll have to count more on James Anderson and Hollis Thompson. Wroten owners should probably just cut him at this point in the season.

Fri Mar 21 201423:31Update: Wroten (ankle) not traveling to CHI
Updating an earlier item, Tony Wroten (ankle) will not travel with the team for the start of their three-game trip.
Wroten was on crutches after the game and he's most certainly out for Saturday's game against the Bulls, but it's theoretically possible that he meets up with the team for Monday's game in San Antonio or Thursday's game in Houston. The Sixers return home for Saturday's game against the Pistons. If you want to soften your decision on a drop to see if he can get back Monday or Thursday there's a chance he returns, but we wouldn't call it likely if we had to guess.

Fri Mar 21 201422:10Wroten (ankle) will not travel on road trip
Tony Wroten will not travel for the Sixers' upcoming three-game road trip after injuring his ankle in Friday's game.
Wroten scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting (2-of-6 3PTs, 2-of-6 FTs) with three rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes, which is barely paying the bills for standard league owners. There's not enough upside to justify holding him in most 12-14 team formats. James Anderson's value was fairly solid before the game and despite the injury, so he should be owned and/or held despite hitting just 3-of-14 shots for eight points, six boards, two steals and a three over 35 minutes.

Fri Mar 21 201418:21Tony Wroten still starting, Thompson to bench
Tony Wroten will remain in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Knicks.
James Anderson will move back into the starting lineup and the Sixers will match the Knicks with a smaller lineup. Wroten has injected a lot of life into the Sixers offense for his attacking style, which certainly will help against a defense like the Knicks due to their inability on help defense. Wroten is still worth starting in most formats tonight.

Wed Mar 19 201422:05Tony Wroten plays well against Chicago D
Tony Wroten made another start in place of injured James Anderson and hit 6-of-16 shots and four 3-pointers for 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
He was also aggressive and got to the rim at will, but hit just 1-of-6 free throws on the night. As long as Anderson is out, Wroten looks like a smart play. He also had 17 points in Monday's start.

Wed Mar 19 201417:36Tony Wroten starting again for Sixers
Tony Wroten will make another start against the Bulls on Wednesday.
He is starting in place of James Anderson (thigh) and should have plenty of shots go his way. Although, the Bulls are fantastic at keeping guys out of the paint, which is really the only thing Wroten does well. He'll be a risky, high-upside player to use in most formats tonight.

Mon Mar 17 201421:46Wroten posts 17-4-4 line against Indy
Tony Wroten started for James Anderson (thigh) and scored 17 points on 7-of-18 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and one block in 36 minutes on Monday against the Pacers.
Wroten also hit all three of his freebies and has had a mild improvement in that area over the last month, hitting just under 75 percent from the stripe in that span. Anderson did not travel with the team to Indy for tonight's game, but that isn't necessarily a big deal since the Sixers were going to turn around and come home for Wednesday's tilt against the Bulls, anyway. In any event, Wroten profiles as a late-round value unless he totally falls off a cliff, and if he's hitting free throws he has some mid-round upside.

Mon Mar 17 201411:54Tony Wroten will start at SG vs. Pacers
Tony Wroten will start at SG with James Anderson (thigh) unavailable vs. Indiana on Monday.
Wroten has started 13 games this season, during which he's averaged a solid 18.4 points, 0.9 threes, 4.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals. He's also made 44.0 percent of his field goals in those contests and the only clear downside is his 58.7 percent mark at the FT line.

Sat Mar 15 201400:36Wroten plays just 13 minutes on Friday
Tony Wroten played just 13 minutes on Friday against the Pacers, scoring eight points on 1-of-4 shooting (6-of-6 FTs) with one rebound, zero assists and three steals.
The steals and free throws help this line along Wroten has hit 72.5 percent of his free throws in the last month, which helps considering the career 64 percent shooter has taken 6.3 per game in that span. Still, that's highly prohibitive and in general he needs at least 26-28 minutes per game to float any late round value. He's been doing that in 8-cat leagues over the last two weeks but he has very little leash after a night like this and isn't a must-own player.

Mon Mar 10 201423:33Wroten scores 23 points off the bench
Tony Wroten scored 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting (7-of-8 FTs) with five rebounds, three assists and five turnovers in 29 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Wroten didn't hit a three but if he's not going to shoot owners out of their weekly matchups then he's get big upside. Of course, his bad shooting isn't going to change overnight and altogether he's a low-end, late-round value in 8-cat formats over the past two weeks. In 9-cat formats his 3.0 giveaways per game has sunk his value unless you're punting, obviously.
