Sun Jan 19 201400:30Luke Ridnour scores 14 points in start again
Luke Ridnour started at shooting guard for the Bucks again on Saturday with 14 points, one board, five assists and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
Nobody seems to like it, but the Bucks look like they're going to roll with Ridnour at the shooting guard spot. In his previous nine starts this season, he has averages of 7.9 points, 3.4 boards, 5.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 triples. Luke is an unsexy pickup in deeper leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201402:06Luke Ridnour plays 43 minutes in start
Luke Ridnour moved back into the starting lineup on Wednesday with nine points, six boards, nine assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.
He came off the bench for a couple games due to matchups and coach Larry Drew put Ridnour back in as the starting shooting guard tonight. In his previous eight starts, he averaged 7.8 points, 3.1 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 triples, which would make him a low-end player to own in standards. There are probably some higher upside players to add in most leagues, though.

Mon Jan 13 201422:25Ridnour scores seven points with seven asts
Luke Ridnour scored seven points on 2-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound and seven assists in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Ridnour is clearly a favored option for Larry Drew since he brings ball movement and cohesion to a younger squad, but his defensive liabilities are a bit too much to swallow especially playing at the off-guard spot. Give him a look in deeper formats.

Sat Jan 11 201402:07Luke Ridnour plays 40 minutes vs. Bulls
Luke Ridnour played a team-high 40 minutes against the Bulls on Friday, scoring 14 points with five boards, eight assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.
He was probably the best player as far as isolated stats go tonight and coach Larry Drew seems to like using him in the starting lineup." I think they complement each other," Drew said of the Brandon Knight-Luke Ridnour backcourt. "They play well together and feed off each other." Neither player poses as a threat to break down defenses and it's made the Bucks a very easy team to defend. Ridnour is worth a look in fantasy leagues if Drew wants to keep his inefficient rotation as is.

Wed Jan 8 201401:50Luke Ridnour plays 26 minutes vs. Warriors
Luke Ridnour played 26 minutes against the Warriors on Tuesday, scoring four points with one board, three assists, one steal and one block.
This is his second dud in a row after scoring just two points against the Suns on Saturday. Ridnour not being able to defend most guards is going to be a problem for him and figures to end up costing him minutes. He's not really worth owning in most leagues.

Fri Jan 3 201400:41Luke Ridnour plays 37 minutes in start
Luke Ridnour played a team-high 37 minutes against the Jazz on Thursday with 12 points, three boards, eight assists, one steal and three turnovers.
This comes on the heels of a 11-point, 35-minute game on Tuesday, so he's now played significant minutes in two straight after a DNP-CD on Saturday. Coach Larry Drew has run some of the sloppiest rotations in the NBA and fantasy owners that want to pick up Bucks on the wings are at his mercy. It makes sense to add Ridnour, but only if you're cutting something you're not going to miss too much.

Wed Jan 1 201402:23Luke Ridnour scores 11 points in start
Luke Ridnour made his fourth start of the season on Tuesday next to Brandon Knight in the backcourt, playing a season-high 35 minutes with 11 points, four boards, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
He was a DNP-CD on Saturday, so of course he comes out with his highest minute total in a win. Ridnour has been successful in lineups with two point guards before, so it wouldn't be a shock to see coach Larry Drew stick with it. He's not really worth a pickup just yet in most leagues, though.

Tue Dec 31 201314:35Luke Ridnour starts alongside Brandon Knight
Luke Ridnour will start alongside Brandon Knight in the Bucks' backcourt on Tuesday.
The veteran has started three games this season, posting 6.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting just 30.8 percent from the field. He didn't even play in Milwaukee's last game and this is a wait-and-see situation given Larry Drew's pell-mell rotations. Ridnour's starting job moves Khris Middleton to the bench.

Thu Dec 5 201300:33Luke Ridnour plays 28 minutes off bench
Luke Ridnour played 28 minutes against the Pistons during a 105-98 loss on Wednesday, scoring 10 points with three rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two turnovers.
Coach Larry Drew went with Ridnour a little more after the Bucks looked bad on both ends with Brandon Knight running the point. Knight played 30 minutes or more in each of his last four games while Ridnour didn't crack the 24-minute mark in any of his last four. That's been the story with coach Drew for most of the season, so really the certain thing about the backcourt rotation of the Bucks is that it might be uncertain for a while.

Sat Nov 23 201300:20Ridnour struggles against the Sixers
Luke Ridnour hit just 1-of-7 shots (including a three) in Friday's overtime loss to the Sixers, but did add four rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 34 minutes.
It's hard to figure out what to make of Brandon Knight, who has been a mess at point guard for the Bucks and is apparently returning at some point, and that's really going to drive Ridnour's value here. If you want to take a flier that Ridnour is the better fit for the Bucks and that Knight is a failed project, feel free, just don't drop anybody of real value to do it.

Thu Nov 21 201303:04Luke Ridnour starts over Nate Wolters
Luke Ridnour started over Nate Wolters on Wednesday and hit 6-of-14 shots for 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal in a loss to the Blazers.
This is a telling start for Ridnour, as Wolters had been starting for the Bucks since Brandon Knight went down with a hamstring injury. It appears that Larry Drew may have grown tired of that arrangement, and this also bodes well for Knight to get the job if he ever gets over his injury. But for now, all three Bucks point guards are risky fantasy plays, especially since we never know what Drew is going to do next. Wolters was quiet with six points and four dimes in just 18 minutes, and may have lost the starting job for good tonight.

Wed Nov 20 201318:44Luke Ridnour expected to start on Wednesday
Luke Ridnour is expected to make his first start on Wednesday night.
The Bucks have gone with rookie Nate Wolters lately. While Wolters has done a fine job to this point, his inability to score is going to hold him back. Ridnour could take the job and run with it even once Brandon Knight (hamstring) comes back, so he's someone to think about for owners that need some assists.

Fri Nov 15 201322:14Luke Ridnour plays 21 minutes in debut
Luke Ridnour made his season debut on Friday against the Pacers, playing 21 minutes with four points, one assist and one block on 2-of-6 shooting.
He's been out with a sore back and the 21 minutes was a fair expectation for him tonight. Nate Wolters did an admirable job filling in and given the Bucks bleak outlook, they might be willing to give Wolters some time to develop in games. Ridnour is worth a look in deep leagues while Brandon Knight (hamstring) is out.

Fri Nov 15 201312:26Luke Ridnour participates in shootaround
Luke Ridnour (back) participated in Bucks shootaround on Friday, but still hasn't been cleared by the medical staff for tonight's game against the Pacers.
Ridnour has missed enough time that Nate Wolters shouldn't be in jeopardy of losing his starting status, with or without Ridnour. Consider Ridnour a game-time decision.

Wed Nov 13 201315:01Luke Ridnour (back) joins team Wednesday
Luke Ridnour (back) joined the Bucks on Wednesday and said he feels "great."
There's no word on his availability for tonight's game against the Magic, but he would appear doubtful given how he hasn't been practicing. Nate Wolters has been a revelation as a 2013 second-round pick and has an assist:turnover ratio of 30:3 in November. Wolters is worth holding in deeper leagues for now.

Mon Nov 11 201316:08Luke Ridnour still not practicing on Monday
Luke Ridnour (back) did not practice on Monday.
He still hasn't made his season debut and doesn't have a target date to return. There really has been no optimism on Ridnour and he seems doubtful for Tuesday's game. The Bucks have used Nate Wolters and Brandon Knight at point guard, and with Wolters playing well, there's no rush to bring Ridnour back. Even with Knight back on Saturday, Wolters still saw 36 minutes on Saturday.

Sat Nov 9 201315:34Luke Ridnour (back) doubtful to debut Sat.
Luke Ridnour (back spasms) is reportedly doubtful to suit up vs. the Mavericks on Saturday.
The veteran played in 82 games last year but he has yet to make his 2013-14 season debut. With Nate Wolters and Gary Neal capable of stealing backcourt minutes, and Brandon Knight (hamstring) on the verge of returning, Ridnour belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Fri Nov 8 201312:32Luke Ridnour (back) doubtful to play Saturday
Luke Ridnour is unlikely to play in Saturday's game against the Mavericks, according to coach Larry Drew.
He is progressing from the back injury, but still has no timetable to return. Ridnour has played through plenty of injuries before, so this doesn't appear to be a minor issue. After not having any noteworthy back problems earlier in his career, Ridnour had a flare up in 2012, but he only missed one game. Nate Wolters is expected to start.

Wed Nov 6 201318:40Luke Ridnour (back) still out of the lineup
Luke Ridnour (back) will not play against the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
His back issue has kept him limited all year. Ridnour is usually tough and plays through injuries frequently, so this is not likely a mild issue. He has no timetable to return, but there's a good chance he'll be back soon since he was ruled out just an hour or so before tonight's game. Nate Wolters in starting on Wednesday.

Mon Nov 4 201314:38Luke Ridnour (back) could return Wednesday
Luke Ridnour (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Cavaliers.
With two games on the Bucks' schedule this week, Ridnour is best left untouched in standard fantasy leagues. After playing in all 82 games last year, he's begun the 2013-14 season with three consecutive DNPs.
