Wed Apr 8 201512:37Johnson (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Hornets
Johnson (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Hornets, Eric Smith of Sportsnet reports.
Johnson is battling an ankle injury, which kept him out of Saturday's game against the Celtics. TSN reported earlier in the week that Johnson is without a timetable, and with the playoffs approaching the Raptors will be very careful in bringing him back, as the goal is obviously to have him ready for the postseason. Coach Dwane Casey said that he's leaning toward starting Tyler Hansbrough in Johnson's place.

Johnson (ankle) has no timetable for a return to action, TSN Sports reports.
Johnson's sprained ankle already forced one DNP on Saturday, but he was moving far better during Tuesday's practice than at any point since suffering the injury Friday. While another absence is likely, he should be considered highly questionable to play Wednesday. If he remains on the pine, Tyler Hansbrough could receive his second consecutive start.

Johnson (ankle) didn't take part in Monday's practice, TSN Sports reports.
Johnson initially sustained a sprained ankle Friday, which held him out Saturday against the Celtics. Coach Dwane Casey mentioned after Monday's practice that Johnson is having difficulty placing pressure on the afflicted region, meaning the big man doesn't seem like a great bet to play Wednesday. If Johnson remains out, Tyler Hansbrough could receive his second start in a row.
Sat Apr 4 201518:04Johnson (ankle) won't play Saturday against Celtics
Johnson (ankle) won't play Saturday against the Celtics, TSN Sports reports.
After suffering an ankle sprain Friday, Johnson will reside on the pine Saturday. In his place, Patrick Patterson is the best bet to enter the starting five, while James Johnson should pick up additional minutes. In the meantime, Amir's next opportunity to play arrives Wednesday in Charlotte.
Fri Apr 3 201521:28Amir Johnson: Done With Sprained Ankle
Johnson suffered an ankle sprain in Friday's game against the Nets and will not return.
While Johnson will miss the remainder of Friday's contest, a sprained ankle is a mild injury compared to other possibilities. While his status for Saturday's contest could come into question because of the issue, a sprain (depending on severity) could make him miss just minimal time.

Johnson scored eight points (4-7 FG) to go along with 16 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes Monday against the Rockets.
Johnson has grabbed at least 11 rebounds in two of his last three games, but has scored eight points or less in five of his last seven games. He's not a huge contributor on the defensive end either as he is only averaging 0.6 steals and 0.8 blocks a game this season, leaving him with limited fantasy value.

Johnson scored 16 points (8-14 FG, 0-2 FT) with 14 rebounds, three assists and a block in 33 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.
It's the first time in 10 games that Johnson has scored in double digits, and his first double-double since mid-January, so don't get too excited. The power forward's numbers are down just about across the board this season, and he would need to string a few good games together to get on the fantasy radar in most leagues.

Johnson scored eight points (4-8 FG) with seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes Saturday, returning to the starting lineup after a one-game demotion.
Dwane Casey's are not consistent enough to recommend Johnson for most standard fantasy leagues, as he has averaged just 26 minutes a game this season, and 24 in his last six games. Even in those minutes, his 6.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in his last six just don't move the fantasy needle enough to warrant ownership, despite his status as a starter once again.

Johnson moved to the bench for Friday's game against the Warriors but managed to record eight points, four rebounds, and three assists during 22 minutes of action.
Johnson was demoted Friday, although Patrick Patterson, who moved into the starting lineup, also saw 22 minutes on the court Friday. It's still unclear who will be the starter moving forward but both players have a good chance of seeing relatively the same amount of time on the court regardless.
Fri Feb 27 201519:16Johnson will move to bench for Friday's game against Warriors
Johnson will move to the bench for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Johnson will give way to Patrick Patterson on Friday, although it's still unclear if this will be a permanent change moving forward. Either way, Patterson has a good chance of seeing more time on the court Friday than Johnson.

Johnson missed both of his field goal attempts, finishing scoreless with seven rebounds and two steals in just 19 minutes Saturday.
Johnson was also dealing with foul trouble, along with poor play, and that limited his minutes. Dwane Casey has shown a proclivity to limit the minutes of all of his big men, so Johnson's fantasy value will be hit or miss, but in general, he's a guy who can provide value in most formats. All of numbers, bar his 59 percent shooting from the field, have regressed from last season, though.

Johnson scored 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 FT) with eight rebounds, a steal and a block in 26 minutes during Sunday's win over the Spurs.
When he's on his game, Johnson's capable of providing very useful fantasy numbers, but he hasn't been able to string together good performances with any kind of consistency this season. In most leagues, he's better left on your waiver wire watch list in case he does heat up for more than a couple of games at a time.

Johnson put up 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with six rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in the overtime win against Washington on Saturday. He played 38 minutes.
With Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) limited, Johnson had to man the paint. The starting power forward for Toronto has scored a combined 41 points on 16-of-21 from the field (76.2 percent) in his last two games.

Johnson scored 24 points (10-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with seven rebounds in 35 minutes during Friday's OT win over the Nets.
After scoring a combined 12 points in his previous two games, Johnson came through with a huge performance to help claw out a road win. Until he starts providing more consistency, however, Johnson is a tough player to use in most fantasy leagues.

Johnson scored 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 FT), to go with two rebounds, and a block in 28 minutes on Sunday.
Johnson is now dealing with a sore shoulder, but managed to still play on Sunday and put up value in 28 minutes. He's actually only missed three games this year, while he continues to play for a contract and can't afford to go down for an extended period. If you need rebounding or blocks you can consider adding him, just know his injuries may catch up to him in time.

Johnson (shoulder) will play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Johnson has been dealing with soreness in his shoulder over the course of this season and it's possible that he'll have to take some games off to rest later in the year as a result. Although he's averaged 28.3 minutes on the court over the past four games and will be expected to take on a similar role against the impressive frontcourt of Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe on Sunday.

Johnson is dealing with a sore right shoulder and is considered questionable to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Johnson's injury seems to be the result of the normal wear and tear of a grueling season, although it poses a threat for his Sunday availability. A decision will be made closer to game time with Patrick Patterson the likely beneficiary if Johnson ultimately sits.

Johnson scored just two points (1-5 FG) with four rebounds in 17 minutes Friday.
Patrick Patterson saw the lion's share of Johnson's usual minutes in this one. The veteran power forward had been averaging 30 minutes, 11.6 points, 8.1 boards and 1.3 blocks over his previous seven games coming into Friday, and there's been no word that Johnson re-injured an ankle, so chalk this one up to coach Dwane Casey just riding the hot hand.

Johnson scored 10 points (5-8 FG) with 16 rebounds, two assists and a block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's win over the 76ers.
Don't look now, but after a miserable beginning to the season Johnson is averaging 12.3 points, 10.0 boards and 1.7 blocks over his last three games. He's always been a streaky player, so if you need frontcourt help you may want to grab Johnson now in the hopes that he can keep this pace up for a week or two.

Johnson scored 12 points (6-14 FG) with 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal in 30 minutes during Monday's loss to the Pistons.
The veteran forward is starting to heat up a little, after having a very disappointing start to his season. If Johnson's sitting on your waiver wire and you need to take some chances to make up ground in your league, you may want to grab him now in the hopes that he kicks things into gear.
