Wed Mar 2 202209:15Tobias Harris Embraces Modified Role Alongside James Harden
Philadelphia 76ers power forward Tobias Harris spent the first half of the 2021-22 season as Philly's No. 2 scoring option, a role that has drastically changed upon the arrival of James Harden in the blockbuster deal with Brooklyn. But Harris, who has combined for 18 points on 5-for-18 shooting in two games alongside Harden thus far, isn't concerned about his changing role, saying via Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, "I've got to just be ready for whenever the opportunity comes my way and be OK with that. And I am." Harris, who has four 30-point performances under his belt this year, is looking at diminished offensive upside over the regular season's final six weeks. He has yet to reach the 20-point plateau across his last six outings, although he remains a solid producer of both rebounds (7.2 per game) and assists (3.6) as well.

Thu Feb 24 202217:42James Harden Will Make 76ers Debut Friday
Philadelphia 76ers point/shooting guard James Harden (hamstring) has been given the green light to make his team debut for Friday's contest against Minnesota. Harden last suited up Feb. 2 while with the Nets, having since been a part of the Trade Deadline blockbuster that landed him in Philly. Harden is one of two players (Chris Paul) to currently be averaging a double-double with points and assists, with his role on the Sixers likely to be similar to the one that he had in Brooklyn. The Timberwolves play at the league's third-fastest pace, which should elevate Harden's DFS appeal even as he acclimates to playing alongside new teammates.

Fri Feb 11 202218:39James Harden, Paul Millsap Will Not Make Team Debut Friday
Philadelphia 76ers point/shooting guard James Harden (trade) and center Paul Millsap (trade) have not yet been cleared to suit up with the team, ruling them out vs. Oklahoma City on Friday. Harden missed the final four games of his Nets tenure due to a tight left hamstring, as that will be an ailment to monitor moving forward. In the long-term, Harden's elite fantasy potential will only rise, as he is just one of two players (Chris Paul) to average a double-double this season with points and assists. Millsap is likely to fill a moderate bench role in the frontcourt, with his appeal emerging solely when/if Joel Embiid is forced to miss action. Their next chance to play comes Saturday against the Cavaliers.

Thu Feb 10 202213:34James Harden Traded To 76ers
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. In exchange, the Nets will receive guards Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and center Andre Drummond. The Nets will also receive two first-round draft picks from the 76ers. This is a huge addition for the Sixers roster who desperately needed another superstar alongside center Joel Embiid. Philadelphia also acquired veteran forward Paul Millsap in this deal. The Sixers now have a championship caliber team with Harden, Embiid, and Tobias Harris as their main pieces. The assumption is that Simmons is going to immediately suit up for the Nets. Although, it's Simmons, so fantasy managers will have to wait and see. The addition of Drummond is great for the Nets who desperately need a reliable big man. His value should increase in Brooklyn, while Curry's value should remain about the same as it was in Philly. A trade that seemingly helps both teams improve their rosters for a championship run.

Wed Feb 9 202217:33James Harden Ruled Out For Thursday's Game
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. The bearded star has missed each of the team's last three games due to left hamstring tightness. The fact that he's been ruled out a day before Thursday's game, which comes right after the trade deadline, has led many to believe that it could suggest a Harden trade is indeed in the works. There has been increased talk that a trade that would send Harden to Philadelphia in exchange for Ben Simmons is gaining momentum. While that may be true, Harden being ruled out could just be due to the fact that he's still too tight to consider suiting up. With Kevin Durant (knee) also out on Thursday, expect to see a heavy workload for Kyrie Irving in the road game.

Mon Feb 7 202217:42James Harden Earns Questionable Tag For Tuesday’s Game
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (hamstring) has been deemed questionable to suit up for Tuesday's contest against the Celtics as he continues to work through a tight left hamstring. Harden has missed Brooklyn's past two outings due to the ailment, but with the team returning home, the possible absence of the league's second-highest assist man (10.2 per game) would be felt more impactfully. Should Harden be in street clothes, Patty Mills and Cam Thomas would vault to the top of many DFS interest lists, especially with Thomas having poured in 30 and 20-point outings, respectively, in his last two appearances. Fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off for the final word on Harden's status.

Sun Feb 6 202213:34James Harden Won't Play For Final Game Of Nets Road Trip
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hamstring) won't play on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. The former MVP continues to deal with nagging left hamstring tightness, an injury that's caused him problems since last season. He most recently sat out on Friday evening in Utah, and with Brooklyn ending its five-game road trip, his next chance to make it back will be on Tuesday against the visiting Boston Celtics. Nonetheless, with Harden out of the mix, Kyrie Irving is the favorite to lead the way offensively. However, Patty Mills has a good chance to leave his mark on the scoring end as well.

Sat Feb 5 202218:27James Harden, Nicolas Claxton Questionable For Sunday
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (hamstring) and center Nicolas Claxton (hamstring) have been deemed questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Both are dealing with tight left hamstrings, with Harden's having kept him out of action Friday, while Claxton was limited to just five minutes. Cam Thomas erupted for a career-high 30 points without Harden available in Brooklyn's last game, while Day'Ron Sharpe, James Johnson, and Blake Griffin all pitched in to hold down the center spot for Claxton. Fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off for the final word as Kyrie Irving would also stand out as an elite DFS selection if Harden is ultimately ruled out.

Fri Feb 4 202222:18James Harden Could Be Moved Before Deadline
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden could be moved before the trade deadline. With recent rumblings that the former MVP isn't happy and looking to land in Philadelphia during the offseason, discussions may intensify to make that happen, with the disgruntled Ben Simmons expected to be included in the exchange. Harden hasn't played well this year, averaging 22.5 points while shooting 41.4 percent from the field, both reductions from the 2020-21 campaign. He's also battling a nagging hamstring issue, which has undoubtedly impacted his workload. Nonetheless, it's not guaranteed the 32-year-old will end up in a 76ers' uniform. However, it's something worth monitoring moving ahead.

Fri Feb 4 202214:53James Harden Will Miss Friday’s Contest
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Jazz due to a tight left hamstring. Harden's absence -- along with that of Kevin Durant (knee) -- elevates Kyrie Irving to the highest DFS tier, seeing his ceiling rise exponentially. Harden, one of two players in the league averaging a double-double on points and assists (Chris Paul being the other), has dished out at least nine dimes in 11 straight contests. His absence paves the way for Patty Mills and Cameron Thomas to step into larger roles, elevating their respective DFS upsides. Harden's next chance to suit up comes Sunday vs. Denver.

Tue Feb 1 202221:10James Harden Officially Cleared To Play On Tuesday
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hand) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns. He will return to the court here after a two-game absence. Hopefully, the right hand issue is behind him, so Harden's production won't be impacted by it. DeAndre' Bembry should head to the second unit with Cam Thomas losing playing time. Bruce Brown won't have as big of a role with Harden returning. Fantasy managers should make sure Harden is back in their lineups for Tuesday's slate.

Tue Feb 1 202215:33James Harden Likely To Suit Up Tuesday
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (hand) has been bumped up to probable for Tuesday's contest vs. the Suns after missing the past two outings due to a strained right hand. Harden has been on an assists deluge over his past nine games, averaging 11.8 dimes per contest in that stretch. In addition, he has averaged 25.2 points and 7.9 boards, continuing to produce at an elite fantasy level while Kevin Durant (knee) has been sidelined. Harden was held to just 4-for-15 shooting against Phoenix back on Nov. 27, but he did manage to log a triple-double that day, one of his nine such performances this year. Patty Mills and Cameron Thomas will likely see their DFS appeal checked upon Harden's (and essentially Kyrie Irving's) return.

Sat Jan 29 202219:33James Harden Uncertain Against Warriors
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hand) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors. He has been cleared from his hamstring injury, but this right hand issue is new. It's unclear where Harden picked up the injury, but he'll likely test it out pregame before making a final decision. Patty Mills and Cam Thomas would see a spike in usage if Harden is unable to play. Mills is the better option between the two, but both should have streaming appeal without Harden available.

Fri Jan 28 202218:20James Harden Practices On Friday
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hamstring) was able to get through practice on Friday. Head coach Steve Nash confirmed that Harden will be available for Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Kyrie Irving (personal) will remain out, which means Harden will be the primary ball-handler for Saturday's game. The absence of Irving should give Harden a boost in fantasy value. James Johnson should head back to the bench and lose most of his streaming appeal. Harden is looking like a strong DFS option for Saturday's slate.

Wed Jan 26 202219:31James Harden Won't Play Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This is a tough blow with Kyrie Irving (personal) and Kevin Durant (knee) already sidelined. It seems like Harden tweaked his hamstring at some point and has decided to sit out as a precaution. Patty Mills is expected to have a sizable role with Harden sidelined on Wednesday. He is worth looking at as a streaming option or DFS choice for Wednesday's slate with the Nets extremely shorthanded.

Wed Jan 26 202218:32James Harden Listed As Questionable On Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This is not good news with Kyrie Irving (personal) and Kevin Durant (knee) already unavailable for Wednesday. The Nets don't have many healthy playmakers right now, so this team could be in some trouble on Wednesday. Patty Mills, Cam Thomas, and Kessler Edwards would see a boost without Harden. Mills would be the best fantasy option out of those three, assuming Harden sits out. Fantasy managers should check back later for another update.

Wed Jan 12 202219:29James Harden Returns Versus Chicago
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (knee) will play during Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. He'll return here after missing one contest due to left knee hyperextension. The Nets will also have Kyrie Irving (ankle) available after he suffered a minor injury during his last contest. That being said, it appears the Nets have their Big Three ready for a big matchup against a strong Bulls team. Fantasy managers should make sure they have Harden and Irving in their lineups for Wednesday's slate.

Tue Jan 11 202217:41James Harden, Kyrie Irving Questionable To Play Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (knee) and point/shooting guard Kyrie Irving (ankle) have both been deemed questionable to suit up for Wednesday's contest against the Bulls. Harden missed Monday's game, but there is optimism around a potential return to action, while Irving is facing a two-game absence after Wednesday due to his inability to play home games. If one or the other misses the matchup with Chicago, Kevin Durant's already enormous DFS appeal would increase, while Patty Mills and Cameron Thomas would become upside plays as well. Fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on Harden and Irving's respective statuses.

Mon Jan 10 202217:35James Harden Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Portland due to a left knee hyperextension. Harden's absence paves the way for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to carry higher DFS upsides, while Patty Mills figures to remain a prominent member of the starting unit. Harden logged 44 minutes Sunday, with the team set for another back-to-back Wednesday and Thursday. While his scoring has been slightly down this year (22.4 PPG), Harden remains among the fantasy elite when healthy, with his next chance to suit up coming Wednesday vs. the Bulls.

Fri Dec 31 202107:57James Harden Tallies Another 30-Point Triple-Double
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden collected his second 30-point triple-double in three games on Thursday, racking up 33 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a 110-102 loss against Philadelphia. The former MVP added two steals with six turnovers and finished with 9-for-20 shooting from the field and with a 14-for-18 effort at the foul line. Harden ended up averaging a very nice 26-9-11 line for December. He should start off the next month on the right foot as well, as Brooklyn hosts the Clippers on Saturday. Harden matched his season high with 39 points and produced 15 assists in this matchup on Monday.
