Dieng missed Monday's practice due to illness, Master Tesfatsion of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Dieng, who played 31 minutes Saturday against the Spurs, came down with an illness Sunday and should be considered questionable to play Tuesday against the Pacers. If he's held out, new acquisition Miroslav Raduljica could make his first start with the team.

Dieng scored 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and four blocks during Saturday's loss to the Spurs.
Dieng had been struggling a bit, scoring just 12 points in his past two games. While he only averages seven field goal attempts per game, Dieng has been efficent, shooting 51.0 percent from the field and 78.6 percent from the line this season. Dieng should continue to be a solid starter while Nikola Pekovic remains out of the linuep.

Dieng (ankle) put up eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes Tuesday.
Dieng twisted his ankle in the first half of Saturday's game and had to briefly leave that game, making his status coming into Tuesday slightly questionable. After logging 34 minutes, it appears he's all healthy. Through 30 games this season, Dieng is averaging 9.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.6 blocks in 28 minutes per game. Those numbers are worth owning in most 12-team leagues or larger, and if Dieng ever starts getting more run, his value should increase even more.

Dieng (ankle) rolled his left ankle in the second quarter, left the court, but returned to the start the second half, ending the game with eight points (2-6 FG, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and two blocks Saturday.
It appears the Timberwolves and Dieng owners have dodged a bullet, but as with ankle injuries, swelling can occur overnight. The Wolves are off until Wednesday, which should give Dieng ample recovery time, but in case things worsen, Jeff Adrien would see additional time at center with Nikola Pekovic (ankle) also missing.

Dieng had 20 points (6-10 FG, 8-8 FT), 11 rebounds, three steals, and four blocks in 36 minutes in the loss to Cleveland on Tuesday.
This was Dieng's best fantasy line of the season. The big man has knocked down his last 13 free throws over his last three games and has at least two blocks in five of his last six games. His 20 points might be his ceiling this season.

Dieng scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-5 FT) with 16 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 41 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the 76ers.
Fantasy owners likely picked him up hoping for some blocks, but Dieng hasn't swatted aside a single shot in the last four games. He has, however, averaged 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals over that stretch, providing solid production even if it wasn't necessarily in the expected categories. Nik Pekovic is still a week or more away from getting back on the court, so Dieng should continue to see big minutes in the short term.

Dieng scored seven points with four rebounds in 20 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Clippers.
Dieng got some time off in the fourth quarter once the game became a blowout. With Nikola Pekovic out at least another week, and likely more, with a wrist injury, Dieng will start at center and log significant minutes if not limited by foul trouble.

Dieng had 12 points and 10 rebounds, to go with two blocks and two steals, in Saturday's loss to the Kings.
Dieng has strung together a trio of decent performances with Nikola Pekovic out with a sprained right wrist. He doesn't offer much from a scoring perspective, but he's almost guaranteed to grab at least seven or eight rebounds, and he's tallied six blocks and eight steals over the past three contests. While he might be worth a look in the short-term, his value will depreciate whenever Pekovic returns.

Dieng had nine points (3-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, and three blocks in 30 minutes in the loss to the Spurs on Friday.
Dieng has not scored much since becoming a starter for Nikola Pekovic (foot), but he is providing a nice array of stats. He should be added while he is starting.

Dieng started at center and scored eight points with four rebounds and five steals in 32 minutes in Wednesday's win over New York.
Dieng will start at center and get significant minutes at least the next three games with Nikola Pekovic out with a wrist injury. Pekovic is also dealing with a sore right foot, so it's possible Dieng may remain the starting center for awhile.

Dieng moved back to his bench role Saturday, but with Nikola Pekovic (foot) missing the entire second half, Dieng still managed 26 minutes, registering 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-2 FT) with eight rebounds and one steal.
If Pekovic misses time, Dieng is a must add across the board, but has struggled to make much of an impact in limited minutes. He has averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 20 minutes per game so far this season.

Dieng started for Thaddeus Young (personal) and provided seven points (1-2 FG, 5-8 FT) with nine rebounds in 29 minutes in the loss to the Pelicans on Friday.
Dieng did not produce much more with the extra minutes. The Timberwolves were blown out early as New Orleans rarely missed (72.1 percent from the field in the first half), so Dieng did not have much opportunity to show off his skills.
Fri Nov 14 201420:26Dieng in starting lineup Friday against Pelicans
Dieng was in the starting lineup Friday against the Pelicans.
Dieng was the surprise starter with Thaddeus Young (personal) out, as Anthony Bennett was expected to receive the start at power forward. It appears Dieng and Bennett could be vying for minutes for a little while Young is gone.

Dieng once again cut into Nikola Pekovic's minutes Friday against the Magic, scoring a season-high 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT) in 25 minutes.
Dieng recorded a double-double on the night, pulling down 10 rebounds, and tacking on an assist, two blocks and two steals. Pekovic played just 28 minutes, and while he scored more points than Dieng, he had less rebounds and didn't have a single block. Owners of Dieng will want to continue to monitor his production versus Pekovic's.

Dieng scored ten points with eight rebounds in 16 minutes in Saturday's loss to Chicago.
Dieng hurt his finger in Minnesota's first game, but it hasn't looked like an issue the past two games. He's played 16 minutes or more in the team's first three games but has taken just ten shots over that stretch.

Dieng scored six points with eight rebounds in 19 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Memphis. He injured his right hand in the first half but returned with the hand wrapped, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Dieng injured a finger and at first it was feared to be a significant injury, but tests showed no major damage. He had a strong defensive game which could get him more minutes off the bench, but watch to make sure his hand injury isn't an issue.

Dieng scored 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-4 FT) with five rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 29 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's preseason win over the Bucks.
His minutes, and fantasy value, will likely be limited in the regular season as long as Nik Pekovic stays healthy, but Dieng's ability to swat shots makes him a very intriguing late round option.

Dieng had his 2015-16 contract option picked up by Minnesota on Sunday.
Dieng came on strong at the end of last season when Nikola Pekovic was sidelined with injuries. However, Pekovic seems poised to start the season in full health, so Dieng will have to make his presence known while coming off the bench during the 2014-15 campaign.
Thu Jul 17 201412:34Gorgui Dieng making waves at Summer League
Gorgui Dieng is turning heads at Summer League with his impressive play.
After averaging 8.9 points and 8.4 rebounds after the All-Star break in 2013-14, Gorgui is averaging 10.5 points, 10.0 boards, 2.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks through four Summer League games. "I've been working a lot on that this summer," Dieng said. I'm always looking out for something to improve my game and I think something like that added to my game will really help me." If the 24-year-old can continue his improvement, he should end up being a late-round steal in 2014-15 fantasy drafts.

Tue Jul 8 201421:00Gorgui Dieng puts on weight over summer
Gorgui Dieng put on some bulk over the summer and gained 17 pounds, putting him at 252.
Flip Saunders asked Dieng to gain weight and put on some muscle, and he obliged. But we'll have to see what the Timberwolves' rotation looks like before getting excited about Dieng.
