Mack came off the bench for 12 minutes Friday but only registered one rebound and one steal.
Mack is averaging just 12.4 minutes on the court this season over the 10 games that he's played in. Unless things change in Atlanta, Mack is not a viable option moving forward.

Mack received nearly 15 minutes in the Hawks opener against the Raptors and finished with two points, one rebound, and five assists.
Mack and Dennis Schroder are the two backup point guards for Jeff Teague. Schroder ended Wednesday's game with only three minutes compared to Mack's 15, so it seems as if Mack has the rights to be first in the pecking order. Although Mack shot only 1-for-6 from the field and 0-for-2 from beyond the three point line, it was good to see him get the five assists. With Teague probably playing over thirty minutes for most games this season, Mack could struggle to put up fantasy worthy numbers.
Fri Jul 25 201416:09Shelvin Mack agrees to 3-year deal with ATL
Restricted free agent Shelvin Mack has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $7.3 million deal to return to Atlanta.
Mack averaged 7.5 points, 3.7 assists, and 0.8 three-pointers a game during the 2013-14 season, and while his numbers don't jump off the page, he is a serviceable backup point guard. That being said, he is not on the radar in standard leagues.

Mon Jun 30 201420:31Hawks extend Shelvin Mack qualifying offer
The Hawks have extended a qualifying offer to backup point guard Shelvin Mack, making him a restricted free agent.
Mack played well in his role as backup and it's unclear if he'll fetch a greater offer in the open market.

Tue May 6 201411:35Shelvin Mack hoping to return to the Hawks
Shelvin Mack hopes to be in an Atlanta Hawks uniform next season.
Mack will be a restricted free agent this summer, but would like to return to the Hawks after playing his way into a backup point guard role. "I would like to be back," Mack said. "I'll continue to work and improve my game and let my agent and everyone else deal with that. Of course [I want to return]. I feel like it's a great situation for me." The 24-year-old averaged 7.5 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 2.2 boards, 3.7 assists, and 0.7 steals this season and will provide the Hawks or his next team with a solid bench option next season.

Mon Apr 14 201422:49Mack attack off the bench on Monday
Shelvin Mack scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.
If the Hawks continue to rest guys en masse then Mack will be worth a look for potential like this.

Thu Mar 27 201421:54Shelvin Mack starts, doesn't play well
Shelvin Mack played 35 minutes as the starting shooting guard against the Blazers, shooting 3-of-9 from the field for nine points, three boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
The Hawks have been starting him in three of his last four, but it's been more out of necessity. Mack's shot has disappeared and his defense hasn't looked great either. He can be ignored in several formats.

Thu Mar 27 201400:59Shelvin Mack comes off bench Wednesday
Shelvin Mack came off the bench on Wednesday and had nine points, two rebounds, four assists and a steal in a loss to Minnesota.
Mack had been starting at shooting guard, but was replaced by Mike Scott tonight. He still got some decent run with Jeff Teague benched, but won't be worth using in any formats as long as he's coming off the bench. He was starting for Kyle Korver, who is still out with a lingering back injury.

Wed Mar 26 201416:10Shelvin Mack will move back to the bench
Shelvin Mack will move back to the bench for Wednesday's game vs. the Timberwolves.
The Hawks will move DeMarre Carroll to shooting guard and push Mike Scott to the starting small forward spot. Mack has looked awful in his last two games, shooting a combined 5-of-16 from the field in his 28.5 minutes per game. Fantasy owners can expect him to act more as a backup point guard, which may also affect Lou Williams' and Dennis Schroder's playing time.

Mon Mar 24 201423:08Shelvin Mack scores five points in 28 mins.
Shelvin Mack scored five points in 28 minutes against the Suns on Monday with two rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
It was his third consecutive start with Kyle Korver (back) on the shelf. This was his second dud in a row after putting up a stellar 18-point game on Friday, so anyone who picked him up following that game is likely very disappointed. Korver could be out on Wednesday and Mack may get at least one more chance to redeem himself.

Sun Mar 23 201415:59Shelvin Mack struggles in start vs. Raptors
Fresh off an 18-point game on Friday, Shelvin Mack scored only seven points on 3-of-7 shooting in Sunday's road loss vs. the Raptors.
He added two rebounds and two steals without any assists, and the lack of scoring should be familiar to fantasy owners since he's cracked double-digits just once in Atlanta's past seven games. With Lou Williams (four points in 19 minutes) back in the rotation there's even less upside for Mack, who shouldn't be owned in standard leagues.

Sat Mar 22 201400:19Shelvin Mack steps up for Korver
Shelvin Mack started at shooting guard in place of Kyle Korver (back) on Friday, finishing with 18 points, three boards, four assists and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
He shot 7-of-11 from the field and has been solid when he gets the call as the starter. In his previous six starts, Mack averaged 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.3 steals and 1.3 triples. It's unknown how bad Korver's back spasms are, but Mack is worth a look as a short-term add vs. the Raptors on Sunday.

Fri Mar 21 201419:54Shelvin Mack will start for Korver Friday
Shelvin Mack will start at shooting guard in place of Kyle Korver (back) on Friday.
This news popped up out of nowhere and Mack should be busy in the starting lineup. Plus, the Hawks are likely to get Lou Williams back in the rotation tonight.

Thu Mar 6 201401:25Shelvin Mack struggles in 30 minutes
Shelvin Mack came off the bench and played 30 minutes, but hit just 2-of-11 shots for five points, five rebounds and seven assists.
He still managed to fill the stat sheet in the blowout loss, but was only getting big minutes because of the lopsided score. As long as Jeff Teague is healthy (and he is), Mack shouldn't be in fantasy lineups.

Wed Feb 26 201422:21Shelvin Mack makes another start for Hawks
Shelvin Mack made another start on Wednesday alongside Jeff Teague and had six points, three rebounds, eight assists and a 3-pointer on 1-of-5 shooting in 31 minutes.
Mack is playing point guard, while Teauge is playing in a shooting guard role. It's helped Teague's scoring and Mack is a decent play with a very cheap price tag. However, once Paul Millsap and Pero Antic are back, Mack's return to bench should effectively ruin his fantasy value.

Tue Feb 25 201422:35Shelvin Mack scores 17 pts in start vs. Bulls
Shelvin Mack had 17 points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes while starting alongside Jeff Teague on Tuesday.
Mack boasts a solid 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio and his physicality is a boon for Atlanta's backcourt, but his limited playing time (19 minutes per game) and middling perimeter shooting (0.8 triples on 35.5 percent beyond the arc) has tempered his fantasy value. The good news is that he should earn at least one more start with Paul Millsap (knee) out again on Wednesday, giving him short-term fantasy appeal for points, 3-pointers and assists.

Tue Feb 25 201412:48Shelvin Mack to start against Bulls Tuesday
Shelvin Mack will start at shooting guard against Chicago on Tuesday.
Mack struggled in a starting role on Saturday, but will get the call again on Tuesday as Hawks try to make up for an injured front court with a smaller lineup of Mack, Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, and Elton Brand. Mack followed up a career-high 21 points on Friday with a 1-of-9 from the field stinker on Saturday, so it goes without saying that the former Butler star is about as risky a start as there is.

Sat Feb 22 201422:41Shelvin Mack doesn't play well as SG
Shelvin Mack shot 1-of-9 from the field for three points with three boards and four assists in 28 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.
The move to the starting lineup as the shooting guard was a bit of a move out of desperation, but it spelled trouble from the beginning for Mack. He's not very effective off the ball and is shooting 32.0 percent from the field when Jeff Teague is in the lineup. In other words, he's strictly a handcuff in most leagues.

Sat Feb 22 201419:47Shelvin Mack starting, not Mike Scott
Shelvin Mack will start at shooting guard on Saturday.
The team will bring Mike Scott off the bench and start DeMarre Carroll at power forward. The Hawks can get away with the smaller lineup against the Knicks, but Scott should still see plenty of action. Mack is still a risky player even though he's in the starting lineup.
