Sat Mar 15 201401:48Harkless logs 31 minutes on Friday
Moe Harkless logged 31 minutes in the Magic's 105-101 loss to the Wizards on Friday, scoring six points on 3-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block.
Harkless could go away with the team back to full strength but it also makes a lot of sense that his role is locked in the rest of the year for developmental reasons. He's returning mid-to-late round value (9/8 cat) over the last four games despite hitting just 37.1 percent of his shots, buoyed by averages of 1.0 threes, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks. We're calling off the cut recommendation in 12-team leagues at this time.

Wed Mar 12 201421:50Moe Harkless only drops two points vs. DEN
Moe Harkless recived 29 minutes of action in the starting lineup on Wednesday, scoring just two points with one board, two blocks and two turnovers.
The Magic put Victor Oladipo back in his usual role tonight and it cost Harkless a lot of touches tonight. Due to Arron Afflalo and Oladipo missing time, Harkless was solid over his previous seven with averages of 11.4 points, 4.3 boards, 1.9 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.6 triples on 10.6 shots per game. He's a candidate to be cut in several formats.

Tue Mar 11 201400:41Harkless continues to be productive on Monday
Moe Harkless scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including three treys) with four rebounds and two steals over 34 minutes in Monday's loss to the Bucks.
Victor Oladipo played just 19 minutes in his return from an ankle injury and once he gets maxed out then Harkless will probably see a decline in minutes, but at the same time if the Magic turn the page on Jameer Nelson then it's possible he holds usable value the rest of the way. Either way, owners should ride Harkless until the wheels fall off and hope for clarity on Nelson as a shutdown candidate sooner rather than later.

Sat Mar 8 201423:20Moe Harkless double-doubles in loss
Moe Harkless stayed in the starting lineup on Saturday, hitting 4-of-14 shots for 12 points, 10 rebounds, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer in a loss to the Spurs.
With Victor Oladipo out, Harkless has been able to stick in the starting five, but it appears he will head back to the bench at some point. But until it happens, he's worth a look in all leagues, despite his poor shooting tonight.

Fri Mar 7 201410:50Vaughn pleased with Harkless' physicality
Coach Jacque Vaughn lauded Maurice Harkless' physicality of late.
Harkless is a 6'9/220 athlete with unique skills. He's still just 20 years old, but is showing signs of putting it together. Over the last five games, he's averaging 14.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per night. "He's approaching the game more physical, and as his body grows and he gets stronger, he'll want to do that," Vaughn said. Harkless will be a nice fantasy option if Victor Oladipo and Jameer Nelson are both out again on Saturday. They're both questionable.

Wed Mar 5 201421:49Moe Harkless makes most of another start
Moe Harkless stayed in the starting lineup with Victor Oladipo out with an ankle injury on Wednesday, finishing with 15 points, two rebounds, five steals, a block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-10 shooting.
He'd been starting for Arron Afflalo, who returned to action from an ankle injury, and got the start tonight when Oladipo was scratched. Harkless will eventually return to a bench role, but as long as he's starting, he's proven to be worth using in fantasy.

Sat Mar 1 201422:17Moe Harkless scores 14 in another start
Moe Harkless had 14 points, four rebounds, three steals and a 3-pointer on 5-of-11 shooting in Saturday's start.
He's been in the lineup in place of Arron Afflalo (ankle), who remains questionable for Sunday's game. Harkless has been a nice fill-in and low-end daily option, but that will change once Afflalo is back.

Wed Feb 26 201421:34Moe Harkless scores 13 in another start
Moe Harkless had 13 points, three rebounds, two blocks and three 3-pointers on 5-of-14 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.
Harkless will continue to start for as long as Arron Afflalo is out with an ankle injury, but once he moves back to the bench, he won't hold much, if any, value.

Tue Feb 25 201422:02Moe Harkless ties career high with 22 points
Moe Harkless got another start with Arron Afflalo out with an ankle injury and tied his career high with 22 points on Tuesday.
He added five rebounds and two 3-pointers, and while he was great tonight and has had some good games this season, he's only worth using while Afflalo is out.

Sun Feb 23 201421:45Moe Harkless scores just two points
Moe Harkless was a letdown against the Raptors on Sunday with two points, two boards and one steal in 28 minutes.
He committed five fouls and a couple of them were a little bit lazy. Harkless' offensive game is almost a lost cause at this point because of his lack of jumper, which means he's going to have a lot of inconsistency. Even though Arron Afflalo (ankle) is not going to play on Tuesday, Harkless' low percentages make him a little too risky to use in most formats.

Sun Feb 23 201411:09Moe Harkless enters starting lineup Sunday
Moe Harkless will take Arron Afflalo's (knee) starting spot in the rotation on Sunday vs. Toronto.
Harkless will start for the injured Afflalo and could be a decent plug-and-play on Sunday. He is anything but consistent, but has the ability to put up some boards, steals, and a couple treys from time to time.

Wed Feb 5 201422:50Moe Harkless plays well off Magic bench
Moe Harkless came off the bench for 15 points, nine rebounds, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes on Wednesday.
Starter Tobias Harris struggled tonight, finishing with nine points and four boards in just 19 minutes, as Harkless got hot and overruled him tonight. Glen Davis had 18 points and a full stat line, and the Magic have no shortage of forwards right now. Harkless was struggling to score over his previous four games, so this was likely a fluke. Expect Harris to get his minutes back on Friday against the Thunder.

Sun Jan 19 201420:58Moe Harkless, Lamb, Nicholson get DNP-CDs
Maurice Harkless, who played only 13 minutes on Friday, didn't leave the bench during Sunday's win vs. the visiting Celtics.
Jacque Vaughn's rotation tonight should silence any talk of the Magic tanking at this early point in the season. Harkless, Doron Lamb and Andrew Nicholson could all be earning valuable playing time but instead they racked up DNP-CDs, as Vaughn stuck with an especially tight seven-man rotation.

Wed Jan 15 201423:52Moe Harkless scores four points vs. Bulls
Moe Harkless started at small forward on Wednesday and made his only shot from the field, totaling four points, three boards and one block in 46 minutes.
It's a very strange line and a rarity for a player to take just one shot in 43 minutes. In fact, he's just the fifth player since 1985-86 to accomplish that feat. The others were Charles Jones, Dennis Rodman, Ben Wallace and Horace Grant, so Harkless is the only non-big man on this list. He should have some low-level value while Arron Afflalo is out.

Tue Jan 14 201401:38Harkless (knee) plays and makes noise
Moe Harkless (knee) played in Monday's loss to the Mavs and made some noise, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with one 3-pointer, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 41 minutes.
Leave it to Harkless to enter tonight's game with little to no optimism and put up some numbers like this. The fun is short-lived though with Arron Afflalo questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

Mon Jan 13 201419:11Moe Harkless will play vs. Mavs
Moe Harkless (knee) will play against the Mavericks on Monday
He only played 17 minutes on Saturday due to knee soreness. Harkless was in the starting lineup and should have a decent opportunity tonight. Although, his offensive game still needs some serious work.

Mon Jan 13 201413:18Moe Harkless (knee) goes through shootaround
Moe Harkless (knee) is questionable for Monday's game, but he was able to participate in shootaround.
Harkless has had a few nice moments this season but his production has been far too chaotic to rely upon him in standard fantasy leagues.

Sun Jan 12 201400:32Moe Harkless has a knee injury
Moe Harkless suffered a knee injury in Saturday's game against the Nuggets.
The knee injury kept him down to just 17 minutes in the start for the injured Arron Afflalo (foot). Harkless will rest up on Sunday and get treatment on his knee in the coming days. He's not really worth owning in most leagues and his inability to score from beyond five feet has kept his fantasy value in check. If Afflalo and Harkless can't go Monday, Doron Lamb might get more minutes.

Sat Jan 11 201423:50Moe Harkless dreadfully quiet in start at SF
Moe Harkless scored three points and failed to record any rebounds or assists in 19 minutes on Saturday, despite starting at SF for the short-handed Magic.
This result should surprise nobody, since the second-year forward is averaging a mere 8.5 points in 13 starts this season. His fantasy value is further eroded by his inexplicable 57.7 percent FT shooting, and he's best avoided in all formats.
