Fri Oct 2 201510:45Henson and Bucks agreed to terms on four-year
Henson and the Bucks agreed to terms on a four-year, $44 million contract extension Friday, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
As a fourth-year player, Henson enters the final season of his rookie contract in 2015-16, so the extension won't kick in until the start of the 2016-17 campaign. The 2012 first-round pick has started only 43 games through three seasons, but he's been a valuable big man off the bench, averaging 13.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per 36 minutes last season. He'll again come off the bench this season but will serve as the primary backup to offseason addition Greg Monroe. Monroe's deal only binds him to Milwaukee for two seasons - he holds a player option for a third - so Henson's extension provides some insurance in case Monroe opts for free agency again in 2017.

In his third NBA season, Henson appeared in 67 contests, posting averages of 7.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game.
A cursory look at Henson's stats imply that he took a step back this season, but the primary reason for his statistical regression was a reduction in minutes. For the third straight season and under a fourth different coach Henson found himself stuck behind a veteran. First, it was Larry Sanders, then, after Sanders walked away from the league, it was Zaza Pachulia. There's little doubt that Henson is more talented than Pachulia, but his limited offensive repertoire relegated him to Jason Kidd's bench. While Henson shot a career-best 57 percent from the floor, nearly 98 percent of his field goal attempts came from between 0-10 feet. Without the ability to stretch the floor even a little bit, not to mention a complete lack of a right hand, Pachulia was the more valuable offensive option on a team lacking playmakers on that end of the court. As a result, Henson's stints on the floor were often abbreviated, but his per-36 numbers were impressive, particularly his rebounding (9.1 per-36) and... [More]

Henson is averaging 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in 25.5 minutes through Milwaukee's first two playoff games.
Henson has played at least 25 minutes in back-to-back games for the first time since early-February. He usually hovers around the 17-20 minute range, but with Zaza Pachulia in foul trouble he's seen an expanded role. Henson has performed well, shooting 60 percent from the field and helping to limit Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah to relatively pedestrian scoring nights. With Zaza Pachulia's status somewhat up in the air following his ejection in Game 2, Henson could be in for an even more expanded role in Game 3.

Henson scored 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 FT) with seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes Saturday against the Bulls.
Henson played more minutes than starting center Zaza Pachulia, but also failed to record a block, ending his 11 game streak with at least one swat. Jason Kidd hasn't trusted Henson with big minutes all season and there's no reason to think it changes in the playoffs, so minutes in the mid-twenties appears to be the norm from here on out.

Henson scored 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 FT) with eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 25 minutes Saturday.
Henson has 10 points and eight rebounds in both of his last two games, and is a constant threat to swat shots, averaging 2.0 blocks in 18 minutes per contest. With his minutes increasing slightly, Henson becomes a nice head-to-head option, particularly if you need to snatch the blocks category.

Henson had 10 points (5-5 FG) and eight rebounds in 17 minutes in the win over Boston on Friday.
Henson continues to be a fantasy tease in that he puts up decent numbers in limited minutes. Throughout his three-year career, the forward has rarely been afforded lasting playing time. He has scored in double digits in his last two games, but hadn't scored more than 10 points in his previous seven games.

Henson scored eight points (3-9 FG, 2-4 FT) with 10 rebounds, one steal and four blocks in 20 minutes Saturday as the Warriors handed the Bucks a decisive loss.
Henson is averaging 2.7 blocks in his last seven games, which is elite, but his other numbers are not up to par, mainly due to his 17 minutes per contest. An astounding streaming option to win you the blocks category, owning Henson for a week or more is hard to swallow outside of deeper formats.

Henson blocked seven shots in Friday's triple-overtime loss to the Nets. He added four points, 10 rebounds, and one assist in 21 minutes of action.
Henson has fallen off the fantasy radar over recent months, but was able to break out of his slump Friday. He's averaging just 7.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks over the last three games, and it doesn't help that his most recent performance was inflated by extended play. He's still a solid option in 16-man leagues at this point, but owners should keep their expectations in check.

Henson provided 14 points (7-10 FG, 0-4 FT), seven rebounds, and four blocks in the 24 minutes in the loss to the Pelicans on Tuesday.
Henson scored in double digits for just the second time in March and the first time since Mar. 3. He had an impact on the game with his shot blocking. Henson's struggles at the line (36.4 percent in his last five games) limit his ability to play in the fourth quarter.

Henson scored 21 points (9-12 FG, 3-5 FT) with nine rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench Wednesday.
Naturally, Henson waits until he's back on the bench to erupt for his best game of the season. It's impossible to predict what the Bucks' rotations will look like from game to game, but hopefully Henson can build a little momentum up following this performance whether he's in the starting five or not.
Wed Feb 25 201519:05Henson will move to bench Wednesday against 76ers
Henson will move to the bench Wednesday against the 76ers.
He played just 16 minutes Monday against the Bulls, and will be replaced by Zaza Pachulia in the starting lineup Wednesday. It is hard to handicap the minutes between Henson, Pachulia and Miles Plumlee at the moment, and therefore it is difficult to trust any of them in daily leagues.
Sun Feb 22 201515:13Henson will continue to start against Hawks on Sunday
Henson will continue to start against the Hawks on Sunday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Bucks have a crowded frontcourt but it seems that Henson has the edge at this point. This is subject to change, but Henson only spent 18 minutes on the court during his start against the Nuggets on Friday which is hardly enough time to compile significant production anyways.
