It was a very efficient night for Henson, both in terms of his shooting and his per-minute production. The unfortunate news for Henson owners or would-be owners is that the Bucks' already crowded frontcourt became even more crowded as a result of Thursday's trades.

Henson (undisclosed) did not participate in contact portions of Thursday's practice, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.

It's unclear whether Henson is injured, but his absence from contact drills does not bode well for his status leading up to Friday's game against the Nuggets. More information should be available following the conclusion of practice, but if Henson is held out Friday, Zaza Pachulia will likely re-enter the starting lineup at center.

Henson tallied 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, and five blocks in 22 minutes in the win over the Kings on Wednesday.

Henson had the unenviable task of trying to check DeMarcus Cousins and accrued five quick fouls. In his last five games, he has averaged 10.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks, which makes him a decent one-category roster filler.

Henson moved into the starting lineup against the Magic on Thursday and registered 12 points (6-10 FG), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks in 24 minutes.

Henson has always been able to contribute across the board over his three-year career when given the minutes, the problem is that he won't likely continue to play this large of a role since it took multiple frontcourt injuries for him to start Thursday. While his long-term viability looks bleak, he may be in store for another good game against Portland on Saturday if he's graced with another stint in the starting five.

Henson will get the start Thursday against the Magic, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With Zaza Pachulia (calf) sidelined, Henson will move into the starting lineup and figures to match up with Orlando's Nikola Vucevic, who ranks second in the NBA in double-doubles. It could be a long night for Henson and the Bucks, especially if Henson finds himself in foul trouble. Ersan Ilyasova (groin) is also out, so Milwaukee's only other true, available big men will be rookie Johnny O'Bryant and Kenyon Martin.

Henson has been effective for the Bucks off the bench this season when he's been healthy, but doesn't play enough to be a reliable fantasy option. He's scored single-digit points in seven out of his 12 games this month, and is averaging just 4.7 rebounds per game in that span.

Henson left Sunday's game against the Spurs with an injury to the same ankle that he hurt in late November. While the location of the injury is perhaps cause for some concern, it sounds like this is far less serious than the previous ailment. Bucks coach Jason Kidd said that Henson could have returned to Sunday's game, but it's still wise to consider the lanky big man questionable for Tuesday's game against the Heat. If Henson cannot play, the Bucks will likely need more minutes from some combination of Zaza Pachulia, Kenyon Martin and Johnny O'Bryant.

Henson sprained the same foot earlier this season, and the injury caused him to miss 14 consecutive games from from Nov. 26 to Dec. 23. He has typically handled 15-to-25 minutes since returning from that injury, playing almost exclusively as the backup center. If Henson misses any time beyond Sunday, the Bucks may need more minutes from Zaza Pachulia, Kenyon Martin and Johnny O'Bryant. Henson finished Sunday's game with four points (2-4 FG), nine rebounds, an assist, a block, a steal and two turnovers in 17 minutes.

Henson is averaging 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in the month of January.

A foot injury caused Henson to miss nearly a month, but he's played well since returning. While he's never going to be a big-time scorer, he had four blocks and seven rebounds in just 18 minutes Saturday against Chicago. It was his fourth game with multiple blocks this month, and he's grabbed at least six boards three times. The question is simply: will Henson play enough minutes to be a valuable fantasy commodity? Given his propensity to foul and the impending return of Ersan Ilyasova - and possibly Larry Sanders, at some point - the answer in the long-term is probably "no."

Henson has been finding ways to contribute in a limited amount of minutes, and with Larry Sanders dealing with a mysterious illness he would in most cases be a candidate to breakout. However, because Coach Kidd's lineups are so erratic it's not guaranteed he can hold value over the long term. Continue to monitor Henson, while those in deeper leagues may want to take a shot on the young forward.

It was a solid game for Henson, who found ways to produce without scoring. But Henson's role has been limited when he's been healthy, and he needs more than 20 minutes each night to have value in standard sized leagues. In most leagues, Henson is a player to keep an eye on, but not to pick up.
