Wed Jul 27 201100:28Moseley allows five runs on seven hits
Dustin Moseley allowed five runs on seven hits in seven innings on Tuesday evening against the Diamondbacks.
He struck out five and walked two. He has a 3-10 record to go along with his 3.38 ERA. He's not nearly as good as that ERA indicates, as more than one quarter of the runs he's allowed have been unearned, but he deserves a better record, despite Tuesday's rough outing.

Thu Jul 21 201118:00Dustin Moseley earns win over Marlins
Dustin Moseley allowed three runs, all of which were unearned, over six innings Thursday in a defeat of the Marlins.
It's the eighth time this season Moseley has allowed exactly three runs, but the first time he's won in the process. He has a 3-9 record to go along with his 3.19 ERA. Now, he's not nearly so good as that ERA indicates -- more than one quarter of the runs he's allowed have been unearned -- but he certainly deserves better than a .250 winning percentage.

Thu Jul 7 201102:25Moseley strikes out nine in no-decision
Dustin Moseley allowed four runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings on Wednesday evening, taking a no-decision in San Diego's 6-5, 14-inning loss to the Giants.
He struck out a season-high nine while walking one. Tonight was a nice bounce-back outing for Moseley after he allowed five runs (two earned) in just 4 2/3 innings against the Mariners his last time out, but it still wasn't a quality start. Through 101 innings of work, he is now the owner of a 3.21 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.

Sun Jun 19 201117:31Moseley takes a no-decision in Minny
Dustin Moseley allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks in 6 1/3 innings on Sunday, taking home a no-decision in San Diego's 5-4 loss in Minnesota.
He struck out three, and had the indignity of allowing Alexi Casilla's first home run of the season in the first inning. Now the owner of a 3.02 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 83 1/3 innings across 14 starts, Moseley will get the Braves at home next weekend.

Mon Jun 13 201122:25Moseley (shoulder) to be skipped Tuesday
Padres manager Bud Black announced that Dustin Moseley (shoulder) will not start Tuesday against the Rockies.
On the bright side, Moseley threw 35 pitches during a bullpen session Monday and is expected to return to the starting rotation over the weekend. Wade LeBlanc was a healthy scratch from his scheduled start Monday with Triple-A Tucson, so he will likely get the ball against Colorado on Tuesday.

Sun Jun 12 201114:04Dustin Moseley headed to DL?
Padres manager Bud Black announced that Anthony Bass will be called up from Double-A to start Monday.
That's Dustin Moseley's (shoulder) spot in the rotation, but the Padres have revealed only at this point that Aaron Harang (foot) will be placed on the DL. Moseley could possibly slide back a day to start in Harang's place Tuesday, but it's more likely that he'll also be placed on the DL and Wade LeBlanc will be brought up.

Fri Jun 10 201112:03Dustin Moseley has shoulder subluxation
Dustin Moseley underwent an MRI that confirmed he had a left shoulder subluxation.
Not surprisingly, Moseley reported feeling quite sore Thursday, a day after he injured the shoulder on a swing. But, the Padres want to wait a couple days before deciding if he'll make his start on Monday. If the soreness doesn't subside enough to allow Moseley to throw a side session Friday or Saturday, Wade LeBlanc will likely be called up to make a spot start.

Wed Jun 8 201121:57Moseley takes a no-decision
Dustin Moseley allowed three runs on eight hits in five innings on Wednesday, taking a no-decision in San Diego's loss to the Rockies.
As previously reported, Moseley also hurt his left shoulder batting in the fifth. Before leaving the game, he struck out three and walked none. He also served up a solo home run to Todd Helton in the third inning, which was just the sixth blast he's allowed in 13 starts this season. Through 77 innings of work, he now owns a 3.16 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 37/21 K/BB ratio. It's unclear if he'll be able to make his next start.

Sat Jun 4 201101:08Dustin Moseley notches second victory
Dustin Moseley pitched seven innings of one-run ball to beat the Astros on Friday.
It's the sixth time Moseley has allowed one run or fewer over at least six innings, but all he has is a 2-6 record to show for it. The one run he gave up tonight came on a squeeze play when J.R. Towles sacrificed in the fourth.

Sun May 29 201117:27Moseley takes no-decision in 5-4 win
Dustin Moseley allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings of work on Sunday, taking a no-decision in San Diego's 5-4 win over the Nationals.
He struck out one and walked one. Not exactly an inspiring day, but it marks the third straight start Moseley has allowed three or fewer runs after he gave up six in consecutive outings on May 7 and May 13. He has a good matchup lined up for next weekend, where he will take on the Astros at home.

Tue May 24 201102:04Dustin Moseley gives up one run to Cards
Dustin Moseley was left with a no-decision after allowing one run in seven innings Monday versus the Cardinals.
He'll take it over another loss, but Moseley deserves much better than his current 1-6 record. It was his seventh quality start in 10 tries for the Padres.

Sat May 14 201100:06Moseley roughed up for second straight start
Dustin Moseley got lit up at Coors Field on Friday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks in just four innings of a Padres loss.
After starting out the season on such a tear, Moseley has now allowed 12 runs (11 earned) in his past nine innings of work, ballooning his ERA from 1.63 to 3.40. His next start should come on Wednesday against the Brewers in San Diego.

Sun May 1 201121:10Moseley finally gets run support
Dustin Moseley dealt seven innings of shutout ball against the Dodgers Sunday to earn his first win of the season.
Moseley has actually been surprisingly impressive in each of his six starts this year, but has gotten putrid run support. Considering he calls Petco Park home and is sporting a 1.63 ERA, the ex-Yankee is certainly on the fantasy radar. While we don't think he's nearly this good, deep leaguers should consider an add. Moseley will be at home against Arizona next time out.

Wed Apr 20 201118:26Padres' Moseley again gets no support
Dustin Moseley limited the Cubs to an unearned run over six innings in a no-decision Wednesday.
Moseley has now gone four straight starts without getting a run of support. The Padres did score in the ninth inning today, but that was long after Moseley exited. He's 0-3 with a 1.40 ERA.

Sat Apr 16 201110:51Dustin Moseley getting no support
Dustin Moseley is just the third pitcher in the last 40 years to receive no run support in three straight starts to open the season.
Moseley boasts a 1.83 ERA but a 0-3 record, as the Padres haven't scratched out a single run in any of his three outings. The Tigers' Kenny Rogers in 2008 was the last victim of the total lack of run support, and before that you have to go all the way back to the Angels' Rudy May in 1972. Moseley can't be too upset, though, because he at least knows he's earning more starts due to his impressive early performance.

Thu Apr 14 201123:19Dustin Moseley pitches well in no-decision
Dustin Moseley permitted just one run on seven hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings in Thursday's loss to the Astros.
He struck out one and induced 16 groundball outs to two flyouts. Moseley pitched well for the third straight start but fell to 0-3, as the Padres have been shut out in all three of his outings this season. He's likely earned a spot in the rotation for a while longer with his performance, but his effectiveness is due to wear off before long Moseley will face the Cubs in his next start.

Mon Apr 11 201120:27Moseley to remain in starting rotation
Padres manager Bud Black said that Dustin Moseley will remain in the starting rotation and start this week against the Astros.
Moseley is winless over his first two starts, but has allowed just four runs -- three earned -- over 13 innings. He deserves another look, but we doubt he will be able to hold off Cory Luebke for long.

Sun Apr 10 201101:28Padres' Moseley throws quality start in loss
Dustin Moseley yielded three runs -- two earned -- in six innings Saturday in a loss to the Dodgers.
Another solid effort for Moseley. This would seem to pave the way for him to stay in the rotation following Mat Latos' return, though that's not yet a given. The Padres had been leaning towards using him in middle relief.

Tue Apr 5 201115:35Moseley to start Saturday vs. Dodgers
Dustin Moseley will start Saturday against the Dodgers.
Mat Latos is not quite ready to return, so Moseley will get another look. He allowed just four hits and one run in seven innings Sunday against the Cardinals.
