Sun Apr 3 2011 | 16:35 | Moseley very effective against Cards in loss |
Dustin Moseley pitched very effectively against the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon, allowing just four hits and one run in seven innings, but got out-dueled by Jaime Garcia in San Diego's loss. |
He struck out two and walked one, needing just 84 pitches to get through his seven frames. Although he figures to see a big boost in productivity following his exodus from the hard hitting American League East to the cavernous Petco Park, he isn't yet worth a flier in mixed leagues unless you are badly in need of pitching. |

Tue Mar 29 2011 | 13:03 | Moseley to make start Sunday vs. Cardinals |
Dustin Moseley will make his regular season debut on Sunday against the Cardinals. |
Mat Latos' shoulder injury is forcing the Padres to move up some of their starters. Moseley has posted a rough 6.38 ERA over 18 1/3 innings this spring and can probably be avoided for fantasy purposes this year. |

Sat Mar 26 2011 | 18:38 | Dustin Moseley has unimpressive showing |
Dustin Moseley was knocked around by the Dodgers Saturday, giving up five runs on eight hits and a walk over 4 2/3 innings. |
He did strike out five, but it wasn't much of a showing from the right-hander. Moseley was making the start in place of the injured Mat Latos, and he could wind up filling in for Latos at the beginning of the season if the youngster isn't ready. He hasn't inspired much confidence this spring, though, with a 6.38 ERA over 18 1/3 innings. |

Fri Mar 18 2011 | 17:58 | Moseley hit hard by Angels |
Dustin Moseley had a day to forget against the Angels on Friday, giving up eight hits, six runs and two home runs in four innings of work. |
One of the homers was hit by Brandon Wood, so you know Moseley just didn't have it this afternoon. Coming into today he owned a 2.08 ERA, so he should still be in the running to be named San Diego's fifth starter. |

Tue Mar 8 2011 | 02:27 | Padres' Moseley goes three scoreless |
Dustin Moseley tossed three scoreless innings, yielding two hits, Monday versus the Padres. |
Moseley and Wade LeBlanc are the co-favorites in the competition to become the Padres' fifth starter. Ideally, Cory Luebke or Simon Castro would claim the spot in time. Moseley might prove adequate as a stopgap, though. |

Thu Dec 2 2010 | 19:57 | Yankees non-tender Dustin Moseley |
Yankees non-tendered RHP Dustin Moseley. |
Moseley, 29 in December, turned in a 4.96 ERA and 1.42 ERA over 65 1/3 innings this past year. He was a first-year arbitration-eligible player, but the Yanks didn't want to risk paying him more than the major league minimum. A few teams should be willing to give him a crack at long relief. |
Mon Aug 30 2010 | 22:46 | Moseley can't get through five |
Dustin Moseley made it through just 4 1/3 innings Monday, giving up four runs in a no-decision in the Yankees' win. |
The right-hander gave up five hits and walked four. He could have picked up an easy win had he just retired two more batters, but it wasn't in the cards. Javier Vazquez pitched very well in relief, so it's possible the two pitchers could have their roles reversed this weekend. One of the two will start Saturday against the Blue Jays. |
Tue Aug 24 2010 | 22:18 | Moseley allows two runs in win over Blue Jays |
Dustin Moseley yielded two runs in six innings Tuesday in a victory over the Blue Jays. |

Mon Aug 9 2010 | 00:21 | Yankees' Moseley defeats Red Sox |
Dustin Moseley yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a victory over the Red Sox. |
Moseley had his start moved up a day after A.J. Burnett was scratched, but it certainly didn't bother him. He allowed just one run before leaving in the seventh with runners on the corners and one out. Joba Chamberlain then allowed one of the inherited runners to score before Boone Logan retired David Ortiz to end the frame. |
Fri Jul 30 2010 | 00:03 | Moseley pitches well in win over Tribe |
Dustin Moseley held the Indians to one run over six innings Thursday in the Yankees' 11-4 win. |
The right-hander allowed four hits, walked two, hit a batter and struck out four. It came against a weak offense, but Moseley did enough in this start to certainly earn another one, as he'll try to keep Andy Pettitte's spot in the rotation warm. His next outing will come against the Blue Jays. |
Mon Jul 26 2010 | 17:08 | Moseley to start vs. Indians on Thursday |
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that Dustin Moseley, not Sergio Mitre, will start against the Indians on Thursday. |
Mitre was a pretty big dud in his return from the disabled list Saturday, allowing seven runs -- five innings -- over 4 1/3 innings. Meanwhile, Moseley followed him with 4 2/3 innings of one-hit ball. Provided that Yanks GM Brian Cashman doesn't acquire a starter before the deadline, Moseley could be a decent temporary pickup in AL-only leagues. |

As expected. Moseley will contribute in middle relief with the Bombers after posting a 4.21 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 12 starts with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre. The 28-year-old right-hander has a 5.41 ERA over 64 big league appearances (23 starts). His stay on the roster might be short with Alfredo Aceves and Sergio Mitre on their way back from injuries. |

Tue Jun 29 2010 | 19:12 | Yanks ponder call-up for Moseley |
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Yankees scratched right-hander Dustin Moseley from a start with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre on Monday night. |
Moseley can opt out of his contract if he is not promoted to the majors by Thursday, so the Yankees are currently weighing their options. The 28-year-old right-hander is 4-4 with a 4.21 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP over 12 starts in Triple-A. Should the Yankees call him up, he would contribute in middle relief. |

Mon Jun 28 2010 | 09:13 | Yanks must make decision on Moseley soon |
Dustin Moseley can exercise an out in his minor league contract Thursday. |
The Yankees must either add him to their big league roster by Thursday or risk losing him to free agency. Moseley has posted an unimpressive 4-4 record and 4.21 ERA this season as a starter for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He would pitch out of the bullpen if promoted. |
