Ryan Ludwick was traded and Chris Denorfia is dealing with a hamstring injury, so the Padres have called on some reinforcements for their outfield. Tekotte, 24, went 3-for-19 (.154) in his first taste of the big leagues earlier this season. We aren't expecting much in fantasy leagues, but the opportunity could be there. | ||||||

Tekotte is known more for his speed than his power, but the former Miami Hurricane delivered his first three extra-base hits of the season last night. At 22, he's yet to show the kind of bat that would get him projected as a future regular. However, that he's a left-handed hitter with the ability to play center field and steal bases might make him a useful reserve. | ||||||
