Wed Feb 19 201402:01Gerald Green drops career-high 36 on Nuggets
Gerald Green hit 11-of-22 shots, 8-of-8 free throws and six 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 36 points in Tuesday's OT win against the Nuggets.
The Nuggets usually give it up to opposing big men, but Green was able to get loose for a monster game tonight. He also had five rebounds and is in the midst of his best NBA season. He'll take a hit if and when Eric Bledsoe comes back from knee surgery, and now looks like a great time to think about selling high on Green.

Wed Feb 12 201400:09Gerald Green scores 26 points in loss to Heat
Gerald Green scored a team-high 26 points against the Heat on Tuesday during a 103-97 loss with five boards, two assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers.
Not having to stick Dwyane Wade always helps and Green was busy on offense. Green dropped 25 points on Saturday night and his mini-slump seems to be over. This was his seventh game on the season with at least five 3-pointers and his fourth with at least 25 points. He's a must-own player for his 3-point production and has really turned it around after a horrible year in Indiana last season.

Sun Feb 9 201401:32Gerald Green scores 25 in win over Warriors
Gerald Green hit 10-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 25 points, five rebounds and a steal in Saturday's win over the Warriors.
Just when it looked like he was losing steam, Green came raging back with tonight's line. He had hit just 15-of-48 shots over his previous four games, averaging just 9.75 points over that stretch. He bounced back tonight and the Suns got a great win over the Warriors. Eric Bledsoe might return to action this season after knee surgery, but until it happens, Green is nearly a must-start player, despite his recent struggles.

Wed Feb 5 201400:54Gerald Green quiet in Tuesday's loss
Gerald Green hit just 2-of-13 shots and one 3-pointer for five points, three rebounds, five assists and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Bulls.
That makes back-to-back five-point games for Green, who has hit just four of his last 19 shots. He was pretty much killing it prior to those two games, so there's no need to panic. He's simply suffering through a slump. He'll try to get back on track against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Thu Jan 30 201421:48Gerald Green scores 16 points in victory
Gerald Green scored 16 points with four boards, two assists, one block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-15 shooting against the Pacers on Thursday.
Despite the off game overall, he's caught fire from downtown over his last three, making 10-of-15 from beyond the arc. Green was starting to go back to his inefficient ways back in December with a field goal percentage of 40.7 percent, but he's taking much better shots lately and is getting much more space from the defense. He's a must-start shooting guard.

Wed Jan 29 201423:54Gerald Green stays hot for Suns
Gerald Green hit 7-of-13 shots and four more 3-pointers for 23 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals.
It took an injury to Eric Bledsoe to push Green into the spotlight, but he's completely taken on a new life of his own in Phoenix. Green is absolutely cooking right now, averaging 19.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 3-pointers over his last five games. He's only grabbed seven rebounds over his last four, but he should be better on the glass going forward. Green is the early favorite for waiver-wire pickup of the year in fantasy.

Mon Jan 27 201421:38Gerald Green scores 30 in 124-113 win at PHI
Gerald Green caught fire on Monday against the Sixers during a 124-113 win, scoring 30 points with two boards, two assists, one steal, three blocks and four 3-pointers on 10-of-12 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line.
It was a spectacular performance with a season highs in point and matching his best season total in blocks. Green has been inconsistent this month with his shooting percent of 40.8 percent from the field, but he's been racking up the treys and steals. He's a must-start player in standard leagues.

Sun Jan 26 201421:09Gerald Green scores 12 pts on 28th birthday
Gerald Green celebrated his 28th birthday on Sunday with 12 points, five assists, one steal and only one turnover in 34 minutes, as the Suns stole a road win in Cleveland.
Green sank two 3-pointers and remains a must-own player with Eric Bledsoe (knee surgery) out indefinitely. He memorably won the 2007 Slam Dunk contest by blowing out a candle placed in a cupcake atop the rim while dunking, but unfortunately he didn't attempt the move coming out of halftime.

Sat Jan 25 201402:33Gerald Green scores just eight points in loss
Gerald Green shot 3-of-8 from the field for eight points with two boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes during Friday's 101-95 loss to the Wizards.
It was just his second game since Dec. 6 with a 3-pointer. Green has been hit or miss for much of the season, but he's still made some massive improvements as a scorer. He's flirting with top-50 value in standard leagues and should be owned in all formats that count treys.

Thu Jan 23 201401:38Gerald Green scores 23 points in win over IND
Gerald Green torched his former team for 23 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and three 3-pointers on 6-of-13 shooting as the Suns crushed the Pacers on Wednesday.
Eric Bledsoe is now talking about shutting it down for the entire season, meaning Green is all systems go the rest of the way.

Sun Jan 19 201423:00Gerald Green quiet in just 22 minutes vs. DEN
Gerald Green started at SG again on Sunday but scored only nine points on 4-of-8 shooting in 22 minutes.
Green played fine, adding two assists, one steal, one block and only one turnover, but coach Jeff Hornacek decided to stick with his reserves and the Suns wound up winning the game to improve their record to 23-17. None of Phoenix's starters played more than P.J. Tucker's 29 minutes, and Green will be a reliable source of scoring and 3-pointers for as long as Eric Bledsoe (knee surgery) is sidelined.

Thu Jan 16 201401:53Gerald Green bounces back for 28 points
Gerald Green bounced back from a horrendous game in Wednesday's win over the Lakers, hitting 12-of-18 shots from the field (including two threes) with seven rebounds, two steals and one block in 33 minutes.
Green hit 2-of-16 shots on Monday and these are the fluctuations of a streaky shooter. The introduction of Leandro Barbosa is a bit of a nuisance, but Eric Bledsoe's injury has left enough room for Green to eat on a nightly basis regardless of Barbosa's status. Owners simply need to live with the ups and downs.

Tue Jan 14 201400:15Green has regretful game at the Garden
Gerald Green had a regretful game at Madison Square Garden on Monday, hitting just 2-of-16 shots and no threes for four points, nine boards, three assists and one steal in 42 minutes.
Oddly enough, Jeff Hornacek went to Green in the post on a game-winning attempt and failed despite the Knicks' complete inability to defend the high pick-and-roll with their big men. Green's shot selection and lack of polish were on display tonight, but the minutes and past performance are clear indicators that he's a hold even with Leandro Barbosa getting hot tonight.

Sat Jan 11 201401:21Green scores 12 points with two threes
Gerald Green scored 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 25 foul-plagued minutes on Friday against the Grizzlies.
The good news is that this is likely to be a fairly regular or even down night in his new starting role. He should be owned in all standard formats with Eric Bledsoe out.

Thu Jan 9 201400:38Gerald Green hits game-winner for Suns
Gerald Green hit just 5-of-12 shots and two 3-pointers for 14 points, a block and not much else on Wednesday, but took an awkward pass with the game clock running down and fired up a beautiful shot as he was falling out of bounds that found nothing but net, as the Suns shocked the Timberwolves 104-103.
He's been playing pretty well with Eric Bledsoe out with a sore knee and has done enough to be held upon Bledsoe's return. Green has been an NBA journeyman, but may have found a home in Phoenix, as he's a big part of the reason the Suns are better than anyone thought they were going to be.

Wed Jan 8 201401:02Gerald Green plays 35 minutes vs. Bulls
Gerald Green played 35 minutes against the Bulls on Tuesday with 15 points, three boards, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers.
It's been bombs away for Green in his last four starts, making 13 of his 34 attempts from beyond the arc. He is locked in as the starter while Eric Bledsoe (knee) is out of the lineup and is worth holding in standard leagues until he cools off.

Sun Jan 5 201401:11Gerald Green scores 24 in start for Bledsoe
Gerald Green started again for Eric Bledsoe (knee) on Saturday and hit 9-of-14 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to 24 points, two rebounds and five steals.
With Bledsoe slated to miss a few more games, Green should be owned and starting in most leagues until Bledsoe is back in action.

Fri Jan 3 201401:01Gerald Green quiet in start for Bledsoe
Gerald Green started in place of Eric Bledsoe (knee) on Thursday but struggled, hitting just 4-of-10 shots and 1-of-7 3-pointers for nine points, three assists and four steals.
Green is streaky and wasn't prepared to start tonight, as Bledsoe was a very late scratch just before tip off. He had 21 points and five treys on Monday off the bench and has been playing well enough to be held in a lot of leagues. Especially if Bledsoe is going to continue to miss random games with nagging injuries.

Tue Dec 31 201300:46Green scores 21 points in cakewalk win
Gerald Green scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting (including five threes) with two rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Green has been hot more often than not lately but Saturday's nine points, albeit with three treys, should be a reminder that he can take a dive at any time if the Suns are at full strength. Also noteworthy should be the fact that tonight's game was an extreme blowout, and on the other side of that Eric Bledsoe appeared to be dealing with right knee soreness.

Sun Dec 29 201302:26Gerald Green cooling off for hot Suns
Gerald Green hit 3-of-9 shots (all 3-pointers) for nine points, six rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes of Saturday's win.
Green was really cooking before his last two games, but has scored a total of 16 points in them. Before that he went on a three-game binge of 22, 22 and 19 points, but as long as he's coming off the bench, the inconsistency will make him tough to start in fantasy.
