Sun Nov 3 201322:07G. Green hits five 3s, steps up w/ Dragic out
Gerald Green stepped up with Goran Dragic (ankle) unable to play in the second half on Sunday, scoring 21 points with five 3-pointers, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal.
He did his damage in 33 minutes and should get a big boost in playing time if Dragic's ankle forces him to miss games. Green has been shooting at a terrific clip this year, making 11-of-21 shots through three games -- it's a tiny sample size but suggests that he's finding a groove after a disastrous 2012-13 campaign in which he shot 36.6 percent from the field.

Thu Oct 24 201300:26Gerald Green scores 19 points vs. Denver
Gerald Green turned in another solid offensive outing on Wednesday with 19 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field with one rebound, one assist, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 20 minutes.
After a massively disappointing 2012-13 season thanks to his 36.6 percent from the field in Indiana, Green is shooting an impressive 59.2 percent from the field with his new team this month. It's a murky situation at small forward, but Green has put himself on the radar for his 3-point upside.

Wed Oct 23 201300:37Gerald Green scores 15 points in 18 minutes
Gerald Green started at small forward on Tuesday and hit 6-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, two rebounds and an assist in just 18 minutes.
Green has a legit shot at winning the starting small forward job for the Suns and didn't hurt himself tonight. He's had trouble staying consistent throughout his career, but if he does win the job, he's worth a late flier in most leagues. He's competing with Marcus Morris and P.J. Tucker for the job.

Thu Oct 17 201311:03Gerald Green in hunt to start for Suns
Gerald Green, Marcus Morris and P.J. Tucker are in a three-way battle to start at small forward for the Suns this season.
Coach Jeff Hornacek hinted that he could rotate the starting small forward until someone emerges, meaning it's probably best to ignore all three players for now.

Sun Oct 13 201317:06Gerald Green scores 19 points vs. Spurs
Gerald Green scored a team-high 19 points against the Spurs, adding three boards, two assists and two 3-pointers in just 20 minutes.
He's having a nice preseason with the Suns and may get a chance to redeem himself after last year's debacle. Despite last year's struggles, he shot 48 percent after the break in the 2011-12 season, so he'll be worth monitoring for his 3-point upside.

Thu Oct 10 201301:22Gerald Green fouls out in 13 mins of action
Gerald Green fouled out of Wednesday's exhibition in under 13 minutes off the Suns' bench.
Green, who has no history of being foul-prone, finished 2-of-6 from the field with four boards, two assists, one steal, one block and two turnovers. P.J. Tucker wasn't much better, chipping in three points and six rebounds in 16 bench minutes, but tonight's starter Markieff Morris (15 points, seven boards) made it clear that SF minutes in Phoenix won't be earned without a fight.

Sat Jul 27 201314:56Gerald Green headed to Phoenix in trade
Gerald Green was dealt to the Suns as part of Saturday's trade.
He had a very strong finish to his 2011-2012 season with the Nets, but Green flopped in the first year of his three-year deal with the Pacers. Green shot an ugly 36.6 percent from the field and played just 18.8 minutes per game. The Suns do need some help on the wing, but Green will have to earn his minutes based on his play from last season.

Sat Jul 27 201302:41Green appears to be involved in Scola trade
Gerald Green appears to be the player to be traded from the Pacers to the Suns in exchange for Luis Scola, and ASU Sun Devils associate head coach Eric Musselman issued a now-erased tweet congratulating Green on the move.
Musselman is still very active in league circles and along with multiple, similar media reports the writing is pretty much on the wall. Green would be reunited with GM Ryan McDonough from their time in Boston, and in that scenario he'll jump right into an underwhelming, shallow group on the wings. The Suns want to get out and run, which fits Green's game better than the plodding Indy offense, but he's coming off a very disappointing season so owners will want to pay attention to preseason reports.

Tue Jun 25 201301:45Report: Pacers package No. 2 pick w/ G. Green
The Pacers have reportedly made the No. 23 pick "available," as long as another team also accepts Gerald Green's remaining two years and $7 million.
This can be classified as a "rumor" but it's entirely plausible. Green's three-year, $10.5 million deal last summer was a bit baffling and he was a disappointment in 2012-13, shooting just 36.6 percent from the field before eventually falling out of the rotation.

Thu Apr 25 201309:06Vogel praises Gerald Green following Game 2
Frank Vogel showered praise on Gerald Green following his performance in Wednesday's Game 2 win.
Green, who had 15 points, drew the attention of everyone. "I think Gerald really got it going," Vogel said. "He's had some stretches where he hasn't played well, but he's been pretty consistent." If Green (and the rest of the bench) can contribute consistently, the Pacers will be a much better team and bigger threat in the playoffs.

Wed Apr 24 201322:29Gerald Green scores 15 with three 3-pointers
Gerald Green came off the bench for 15 points and three 3-pointers off the Pacers bench in Wednesday's Game 2 win over the Hawks.
Lance Stephenson played just 18 minutes after suffering a bruised right hip, and while Stephenson returned, if he misses time, or is limited, expect Green to continue to be productive off the Pacer bench.

Thu Apr 18 201300:03Gerald Green blows up for 34 points in loss
Gerald Green scored a career-high 34 points to go along with six rebounds, one assist, two steals, a block and six 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Sixers.
The Pacers rested all their starters except for Lance Stephenson, and Green made the most of his opportunity. Don't expect him to do this once the starters are back for Sunday's Game 1 against the Hawks, but there is still time for Green to turn into a fantasy asset before his career is over.

Sat Apr 6 201301:19Gerald Green returns from illness Friday
Gerald Green returned from an illness on Friday, scoring four points with three turnovers during a 97-75 loss.
He had an upper respiratory infection last week and was available to play vs. the Clippers on Monday, but he stayed on the bench. He has no fantasy value.

Mon Apr 1 201314:45Gerald Green (illness) available for Monday
Gerald Green (illness) will be available vs. the Clippers on Monday.
Green was heating up before missing one game with an upper respiratory infection, but we'll need to see him play well again before considering him an option in standard leagues.

Sat Mar 30 201313:51Gerald Green won't play Saturday against Suns
Gerald Green has an upper-respiratory infection and will not play Saturday night.
Green is strictly playing a reserve role for the Pacers, although he's in no danger of dropping out of the rotation at the moment with Danny Granger (knee surgery) out for the season. Green remains a marginal value for fantasy purposes and his absence shouldn't really affect your league.

Mon Mar 25 201323:20Green scores 19 pts in start for Stephenson
Gerald Green started at shooting guard for Lance Stephenson (hip) on Monday, scoring 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with six rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
Aside from the fact that Stephenson is day-to-day, the low minutes and a moment at the end of the game when Green took an ill-advised three (a make) stick out here. He needs to prove himself with the Pacers at full strength before owners do anything but a spot-play here.

Fri Mar 22 201308:16Gerald Green has chance to secure backup role
Gerald Green has an opportunity to secure the backup shooting guard role now that he's back in the rotation.
Green has played 19.5 minutes or more in each of the last two games, and he's averaging 17.5 points, seven rebounds and 3.5 3-pointers over that span. "We keep talking to Gerald about making the right system plays," Frank Vogel said. Green needs to improve his game on both ends within the flow of the overall game plan, but he's taking baby steps in the right direction. Rookie Orlando Johnson has remained in the rotation despite Green's return.

Tue Mar 19 201321:31Gerald Green plays well again in easy win
Gerald Green had 15 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers on 6-of-13 shooting in 20 minutes of Tuesday's blowout win over the Magic.
Green made some noise on Monday with 20 points and four treys, and is finally back in the rotation after not even playing in the previous five games. We're far from being ready to trust him, but if he has one more game like this on Friday, it will officially be time to put him the fantasy radar.

Mon Mar 18 201323:26Gerald Green pours in 20 points on Monday
Gerald Green had a long overdue productive game on Monday, scoring 20 points with six boards, two assists and four 3-pointers.
He had five straight DNP-CDs before this one and the Pacers opted to give him some run with David West out of the lineup. The Pacers do play again on Tuesday, so Green could be a spot-start option in very, very deep leagues.

Thu Mar 7 201309:24Vogel wants Green to earn way into rotation
Frank Vogel wants Gerald Green to earn his way back into the rotation.
Green has played 91 seconds over his last five games. "We want him to work diligently and compete in practice to earn a spot back, not to wait for somebody else to fail," Vogel said. Green offers no fantasy value in any format.
