Arron Afflalo will start against the Bobcats on Friday.
He missed three games due to his foot injury and should be back to normal after a full week off. Afflalo went through shootaround and there is no word of any limitations. He is having a slow start to his 2014 even before the injury, shooting just 36.2 percent from the field for 15.4 points per game in five outings. Fri Jan 17 201410:50Aaron Afflalo expected to play Friday vs CHA
Aaron Afflalo is expected to play against the Bobcats on Friday.
Afflalo participated in the Magic's morning shootaround and is reportedly on track to play Friday night after missing the team's last three games. Afflalo's production has dwindled a bit since his early season breakout, but he's still a valuable fantasy asset and will likely push Victor Oladipo back to coming off the bench upon his return.

Thu Jan 16 201411:34Arron Afflalo expects to play Friday vs CHA
Arron Afflalo (strained foot) intends to play against the Bobcats Friday night.
Afflalo will have ankle evaluated by team doctors Friday and a decision will be made prior to tip off. Afflalo has missed three consecutive games with his foot injury, so a return Friday night would be welcome news for his owners. Victor Oladipo owners may not share that sentiment, however, so they'll want to pay close attention to Afflalo's availability for Friday's game.

Wed Jan 15 201411:09Arron Afflalo (foot) out vs. Bulls Wednesday
Arron Afflalo (strained foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls.
Magic coach Jacque Vaughn described Afflalo's status as "second to second" so hopefully he'll return for Friday's home game. Until then, Victor Oladipo should earn another fill-in start at SG alongside Jameer Nelson.

Mon Jan 13 201419:38Arron Afflalo (foot) will workout Tuesday
Arron Afflalo (foot) will work out on Tuesday and the Magic hope he will play on Wednesday night against the Bulls.
He was in a walking boot over the weekend, so this is good news to hear he's close to returning. Afflalo is making a case for an All-Star nod and has been one of the more efficient shooting guards in the NBA.

Mon Jan 13 201419:13Ryan Anderson out for at least two months
Ryan Anderson will miss at least two months due to a herniated disk in his back.
This is terrible news for the Pelicans and it will likely change their plan. Their team has fallen apart since Anderson went down, losing all five games with three of them going down as double-digit losses with an abysmal 114.9 defensive rating in that span. With Anderson out, Al-Farouq Aminu will get quite a few minutes and should be owned in most standard leagues. Jason Smith will get more minutes at center and should be solid on blocks and boards.

Mon Jan 13 201413:44Arron Afflalo (foot) ruled out for Monday
Arron Afflalo has been ruled out for Monday's game as he recovers from a strained foot.
He was already considered 'doubtful' so hopefully this doesn't catch his owners by surprise. Victor Oladipo played 32 minutes at SG in his absence on Saturday and will have an even bigger role if Jameer Nelson (finger) isn't able to go.

Mon Jan 13 201410:54Afflalo doubtful Monday w/ strained foot
Arron Afflalo (strained foot) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Mavericks.
Afflalo hurt himself on Friday and doesn't expect to be out very long, but the short-handed Magic may have to patch over his absence for at least one more game. Jameer Nelson (finger) is questionable to play and Nikola Vucevic (concussion) has already been ruled out, which opens the door for guys like Doron Lamb, E'Twaun Moore and Kyle O'Quinn to earn more playing time.

Sat Jan 11 201419:18Arron Afflalo in a walking boot, out Saturday
Arron Afflalo (foot) is in a walking boot and will not play against the Nuggets on Saturday.
He said he wasn't going to play following Friday's game. Afflalo played through his third-quarter foot injury and he's probably regretting it at this point. He should be considered questionable for Monday. The Magic will likely throw Moe Harkless, who had a good game on Friday, into the fire a little more while Victor Oladipo could get more chances to score.

Sat Jan 11 201413:44Arron Afflalo not being traded -- for now
The Magic have resolutely turned down trade offers for Arron Afflalo, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
It's no secret that the Magic are lottery-bound, but it remains to be seen if they are willing to give up their leading scorer for anything less than a first-round pick. Affalo is averaging 20.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in his breakout season, and is attached to a dollar friendly contract next season ($7.5 million in 2014-15), so the Magic may not part ways with the 28-year-old if it's not for a great deal.

Sat Jan 11 201401:17Arron Afflalo (foot) says he's likely out Sat
Arron Afflalo said a strained tendon in his right foot will likely keep him out of action on Saturday,
The good news is X-rays were negative on his foot. He suffered the injury to his right foot in the second half of Friday's game and was hobbling around for about a minute. Afflalo did not come out of the game right away, but it was easy to see he had some sort of problem. He had one of his least effective games of the season, making 3-of-12 from the field for 15 points with two boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes. If he is indeed out vs. Denver, Moe Harkless would likely take over most of AA's responsibilities.

Tue Dec 31 201319:12Arron Afflalo snaps his efficiency streak
Arron Afflalo cooled off on Tuesday evening with 15 points, one rebound, one turnover and no 3-pointers on 7-of-18 from the field and 1-of-3 from the line.
He had a five-game streak of scoring 20-plus points while shooting 50 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range, but that was snapped on all three accounts in the loss. Afflalo is having a fantastic year and he'll look to start a new streak against a soft Cavs defense on Thursday.

Afflalo will likely miss the team's practice on Saturday to get treatment for the ankle. The injury is not severe and he should be able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Hawks. "The ankle, it's one of those things where if you can fight through it, you go ahead and play," he said. Still, check back before the game to make certain.

Arron Afflalo didn't seem bothered by an illness on Saturday with 26 points, two boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
He missed practice on Thursday and returned to practice on Friday. Afflalo is making a case for the All-Star team in the weak Eastern Conference with 21.6 points per game on 47 percent from the field. The Magic are starting to get healthy, but Double-A should still be able to hit a couple treys per game while flirting with 20 points per night.
