Afflalo recorded 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and two rebounds in 27 minutes during Monday's loss in Washington.

Spurring the Blazers' attempted comeback from 20 points down at halftime, Afflalo poured in 10 points on a perfect 3-for-3 from the field, including two three-pointers, to bring his squad within seven points heading into the fourth. The effort was ultimately all for naught, but the guard has seemingly found more comfort by the game as Wesley Matthews' (Achilles) replacement. In the past five contests, Afflalo has achieved double-digit points on four occasions, while knocking down 44 percent from three-point range, en route to 13.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 treys in 30 minutes per outing.

Afflalo moved into the starting lineup with Wesley Matthews (Achilles) out for the season and scored 14 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with one assist in 32 minutes Saturday.

This sort of line typifies he issues with Afflalo. He can provide three-pointers and some points, but is a non-factor in the other counting stats and hurts your field goal percentage. While many may view him as a must-add player in the wake of the Matthews injury, his numbers in Denver should be sobering, where he averaged 14.5 points, 1.5 three-pointers, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 53 starts.

Afflalo will get the start at shooting guard Saturday, Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports.

With Wesley Matthews out for the season, this was a forgone conclusion, but it's still worth noting. Afflalo makes for a nice option in all full-season leagues and should be a fairly safe play in daily leagues, although the upside might be limited.

Afflalo could begin to see the starting lineup with Wesley Matthews (Achilles) out for the remainder of the season.

Any Matthews owners should certainly pick up Afflalo if he's available, and daily players should take notice. Before Afflalo was traded to the Trail Blazers, he started 43 games for the Nuggets and averaged 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Afflalo chipped in seven points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, and three assists in 33 minutes during the Blazers' comeback win Thursday at the Clippers.

Since joining the Blazers at the trade deadline, Afflalo has quickly become a key cog of Portland's rotation, even logging minutes in crunch time with Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews, Nicolas Batum, and LaMarcus Aldridge. In five appearances to date, Afflalo is averaging 9.2 points (on 45 percent shooting), 2.6 boards, 1.6 assists, and 1.4 three-pointers in 28 minutes. His scoring has taken a predictable hit with the change of scenery, but he's so far hitting at a 44 percent clip (7-for-16) from beyond the arc with the spacing afforded in the Blazers' offensive scheme.

Afflalo posted eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 24 minutes of action in his Blazers' debut Sunday against the Grizzlies.

Afflalo had a solid first half of the season in Denver, but he'll be limited in a bench role on his new team. It's clear that his fantasy value will take a hit, and based on Sunday's game, seeing 20-25 minutes a night seems like a reasonable expectation for Afflalo. In other words, he's no longer a must-own player, even in deeper leagues.

Afflalo is not expected to play Friday against Utah, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.

Portland acquired Afflalo from Denver on Thursday, and he's not expected to complete his physical in time to travel with the team to Utah. Expect Afflalo, as well as Alonzo Gee to be in uniform Sunday when Portland plays host to Memphis.

Afflalo was traded to the Trail Blazers on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Alonzo Gee will join Afflalo in Portland, as the Blazers send Will Barton, Thomas Robinson, Victor Claver and a future lottery-protected first-round pick, as well as a second-round pick, to Denver. Afflalo has started all 53 games in which he's played this season, but he projects to move to the bench in Portland with Wesley Matthews entrenched as the starting shooting guard. As a result, Afflalo's numbers should see a mild decline in the final third of the regular season.

Afflalo scored 18 points (6-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.

Afflalo extended his current streak of draining at least one three-pointer to nine games, averaging 15.2 points, 3.4 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch.

Afflalo scored 20 points (7-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with four assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.

He's on a nice little roll, averaging 18.0 points, 3.8 assists, 3.6 boards, 2.2 threes and 1.1 steals over his last five games, production just about comparable to last season's career numbers. In all likelihood Afflalo won't be able to keep it up, but if you've been thinking about dealing him now's as good a time as any.

Afflalo scored 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt) with six assists, three rebounds, three steals and a block in 37 minutes during Monday's loss to the Clippers.

He's now scored in double digits in 12 of 13 games in January, averaging 17.5 points, 3.8 boards, 2.5 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.2 steals over that stretch. Afflalo's season started out slowly, but he's just about back to matching last season's production.

Afflalo finished with 21 points (6-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three steals during Tuesday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Afflalo had his worst performance of the season during Tuesday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors, so it was a nice bounce back game for him. The 21 points pushed his January points average back up to 17.9 points per game. The three steals were also a season-high for him, so it was a nice bonus for fantasy owners. He doesn't offer very many assists, but if he continue to score like this, his fantasy value lies mostly with his point totals.

Afflalo finished with just two points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt) in 24 minutes against the Warriors on Monday.

It was Afflalo's worst offensive output of the season, and he snapped a nine-game double-digit scoring streak. This performance aside, Afflalo is enjoying a productive month, averaging 19.5 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from three.

Afflalo had a difficult time finding his shot on Sunday. He finished with nine points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt) four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 39 in minutes.

Afflalo has been struggling the last five games, averaging 10 points with only three three-pointers combined during that span. Aflame started off December hot, but seems to be tailing off during the final weeks of the month. He's been hot and cold throughout the season and he should be able to recover from this, owners just need to remain patient.

Afflalo went 4-for-16 from the floor Friday in a win over the Timberwolves, scoring 13 points in 42 minutes of action, in addition to picking up five rebounds and two assists.

Afflalo has struggled with his efficiency of late, relying on the free-throw line to get his points. In his past five games, Afflalo has only made a combined 19 field goals. In his 13 games this month heading into Friday, he was shooting just 29.7 percent from three, despite attempting 4.9 shots per game from beyond the arc. Afflalo shouldn't be benched by owners, but the recent shooting slump is concerning.

Afflalo shot just 28.6 percent (4-for-14) from the floor Friday in a loss to the Clippers, scoring 12 points in 32 minutes.

Afflalo's shooting has been inconsistent this month. He's shot under 30 percent in four games in December, but has shot better than 50 percent in five starts. Owners should continue to use Afflalo on a daily basis, but should also be aware that these poor shooting nights can occur.

Afflalo scored 22 points (7-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and added two rebounds, one assist and a steal in 34 minutes of action against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Afflalo has been scoring at a nice rate lately. He is averaging 21.7 points per game over his last three games. Afflalo has shot at least 17 shots per game in his last three games, he had only shot as many as 17 shots twice all season prior. He has the green light and he is putting up points as a result.

Afflalo scored 31 points(12-20 FG, 3-3 FT, 4-6 3Pt) to go with five rebounds and one assist in 40 minutes of action Sunday against the Spurs.

Afflalo is now averaging 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 three-pointers made over the last four games. He had a slow start to the season, but it appears he's good to go forward in his contributions to the points and three-pointers category.

Afflalo scored 16 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and added four rebounds, one assist and a block in 28 minutes of playing time against the Heat on Wednesday.

Afflalo has put together two solid scoring nights on back-to-back games. Afflalo has been a borderline fantasy player this year as he has shown flashes of his ability to score the rock, but he has been inconsistent and he's hardly reliable for fantasy.

Afflalo scored 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-7 3P, 3-3 FT) with six rebounds and two assists in 44 minutes during Monday's OT loss to the Raptors.

With the team short-handed due to various injuries, Afflalo and other Nuggets starters piled up some huge minutes but came up short in overtime. It's still a big rebound effort for the shooting guard after he managed just 14 points total in his previous two games.
