Wed Feb 23 201109:10T-Wolves have high hopes for Randolph
Timberwolves team president David Kahn offered high praise and lofty expectations for the newly acquired Anthony Randolph, stating that he fits with the team's long term plans.
"Anthony Randolph is a young player in our league who kind of fits the description of what we've been trying to add to our team," Kahn said. He should have more opportunity in Minnesota but he does have obstacles in his way including past performance and a already solidified starting front court. Don't rush expectations for Randolph.

Tue Feb 22 201100:13Kahn adds Ant-Rand to his reclamation project
Anthony Randolph was traded to the Wolves on Monday as a part of the Carmelo Anthony trade.
He has freaky physical attributes, and for that reason alone he could be worth a look in 12-team leagues if you're willing to live with the chance he rots on Kurt Rambis' bench. GM David Kahn said that he envisions him as an athletic 4/5 to play behind Darko Milicic, and as long as Rambis doesn't give him the Kevin Love treatment that's exactly what he'll do. A reasonable upside scenario for him probably includes 25 mpg and a versatile stat line.
Sun Feb 20 201110:48Randolph to end up in Minnesota?
Anthony Randolph would likely end up in Minnesota if Carmelo Anthony is traded to the Knicks, according to Newsday.

Sat Feb 12 201109:36Wolves confident they'll acquire AntRand
The Wolves are reportedly confident that they will acquire Anthony Randolph prior to the Feb. 24 trade deadline.
There is a three-team scenario involving Melo that currently doesn't have the approval of either Denver or New York. "Minnesota officials...believe it will more likely be as part of a straight-up deal with New York," writes Ken Berger, "in which Minnesota gives up a late first-round pick, takes on Roger Mason, and then waives him."

Tue Feb 8 201113:06Randolph, Curry both missing from practice
Anthony Randolph (personal) and Eddy Curry (personal) both missed Knicks practice Tuesday.
This is going to raise some red flags among trade rumor mongers, but note that Wilson Chandler did participate fully in the workout. With Randolph and Curry both out of the Knicks' plans, it doesn't really matter if they skip practice.

Sun Feb 6 201101:36Not so fast: Randolph to Minnesota in doubt
Anthony Randolph, who is a key to trade talks for the Knicks, does not appear to be heading to the Timberwolves, according to Rotoworld sources.
Could it still happen? Absolutely. But with Knicks' owner James Dolan still flirting with re-hiring Isiah Thomas, anything is possible. As for now, a deal that would send Randolph to the Wolves appears to be dead, which likely impacts any Carmelo Anthony deal. As of now, treat anything you hear as a rumor until it's proved to be factual and stay the course. Danilo Gallinari is still a safe play in New York, while Randolph still has no fantasy value.
Sun Feb 6 201101:12Sources: Anthony Randolph is heading to Minny
According to Rotoworld sources, Anthony Randolph is likely to be traded to the Wolves.
We've also heard that the Wolves and Knicks could do a deal for Randolph independently of the Carmelo Anthony fiasco, so it looks like Randolph's days in New York are numbered. We were told that Corey Brewer and Eddy Curry's contract are currently a part of the deal, and the larger question remains if other teams like Denver (and others) will get involved. Either way, Randolph has to deal with Kevin Love, Michael Beasley, Darko Milicic, and even Anthony Tolliver, so he's a long-shot stash at best.
Sun Jan 30 201122:33Anthony Randolph scoreless on Sunday
Anthony Randolph was scoreless with five rebounds off the bench on Sunday, despite the absence of both Wilson Chandler and Shawne Williams.
Timofey Mozgov came up huge off the bench and this is just one more down note in a disappointing season for Randolph.
Sun Jan 30 201118:32Randolph and Mozgov may see minutes
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni suggested that reserves Anthony Randolph and Timofey Mozgov may see minutes in the rotation due to injuries.
Don't expect either to see many minutes if they do get manage to see time.

Tue Jan 25 201110:26Nuggets now interested in Randolph
The Nuggets may ask that Anthony Randolph be included in a potential trade for Carmelo Anthony, sources tell Newsday.
The Nuggets reportedly aren't high on Landry Fields and would prefer Anthony. That's fine by the Knicks, who clearly think Fields is the better player. Randolph would be an interesting fit in Denver, but it's impossible to tell what his role would be until all the dust settles. We're not expecting a deal to be completed until much closer to the Feb. 24 trading deadline.

Sat Jan 22 201116:56Blazers interested in Anthony Randolph
The Blazers have expressed interest in Anthony Randolph, even though they are "not getting great reports" about the Knicks' 21-year-old forward.
No surprise there, as Randolph has been unable to establish a consistent role for either the Warriors or Knicks. His basketball IQ doesn't seem very impressive but his athleticism is off the charts, and probably worth a first-round pick -- especially for a Blazers team that would be selecting in the latter half of the draft anyway.

Thu Jan 20 201113:18Randolph at Knicks practice Thursday
Despite a rumor that he had been traded to Indiana, Anthony Randolph was at Knicks practice Thursday.
As suspected, that rumor was utterly false. The Knicks may very well be talking to the Pacers about a deal, but nothing is imminent. It's worth noting that two separate teams (Warriors, Knicks) have deemed Randolph unworthy of even cracking their rotation. There are no guarantees he will produce even if a trade is completed.

Thu Jan 20 201112:14Randolph to Pacers rumor false?
Beat writer Mike Wells is dismissing a rumor that the Knicks have agreed to trade Anthony Randolph to the Pacers.
The original report comes from something called the Business Insider. Until a legitimate news organization with a history of breaking news confirms, we're dismissing this rumor as well. As Wells points out, the Pacers already have 15 guaranteed contracts and are over the salary cap. They couldn't get Randolph just for a first-round pick.

Sun Jan 16 201106:21Ant-Rand makes trade demand, NYK doesn't care
Knicks president Donnie Walsh "may or may not" satisfy Anthony Randolph's trade request, according to a report from the New York Post.
Chris Broussard reported that Ant-Rand would be traded in the next couple of weeks for a first-round pick, with Indiana, Minnesota, and Portland being the most likely destinations, but this is the first we've heard about a trade demand. As we said before, Portland would probably be the best place for him to get playing time of the three, but he is by no means going to be a fantasy savior.

Fri Jan 14 201120:28Report: Anthony Randolph to be traded soon
Chris Broussard is reporting that Anthony Randolph will be traded in the next couple weeks for a first-round pick, with Indiana, Minnesota and Portland being the most likely destinations.
This is potentially big news, as Randolph can't get off the bench in New York. Indiana wouldn't be a great fantasy destination with Tyler Hansbrough and small ball, while Minnesota has a guy named Kevin Love playing power forward. However, he could actually get some nice run in Portland since LaMarcus Aldridge is playing a lot of center. This is good news for Randolph, but by no means guarantees he's going to be a fantasy savior. But he could at least come out of this with some value.

Thu Jan 13 201109:40Report: Knicks have Randolph deal in place
The Knicks have a contingent deal in place with the Wolves to send Anthony Randolph north in exchange for a 2011 first-round pick, according to the New York Post.
Team president Donnie Walsh is apparently hesitant to give up on Randolph even though the raw talent is not part of coach Mike D'Antoni's rotation. But if push comes to shove and they need that pick to get Carmelo Anthony, we suspect a deal would go down. Randolph would fit with the young talent in Minnesota, but would still come off the bench. He remains off the fantasy radar.

Tue Jan 11 201121:43Randolph inactive Tuesday with the flu
Anthony Randolph will not dress for Tuesday's game due to having flu-like symptoms.
He has all but fallen out of the rotation completely, and conspiracy theorists and Melo-drama enthusiasts might say this is a sign that the Knicks are trying to acquire some draft picks.

Thu Dec 30 201011:36Randolph linked to Timberwolves
Wolves GM David Kahn has talked with Knicks president Donnie Walsh about the availability of Anthony Randolph, according to CBSSports.com.
The Knicks are apparently open to giving up Randolph for Luke Ridnour or a first-round pick. However, they won't do the deal for Sebastian Telfair. The highly talented Randolph has appeared for spot minutes in just 13 games all season for the Knicks.

Fri Dec 17 201009:46Knicks confident first-round picks can be had
Knicks president Donnie Walsh is confident his team can land a first-round draft pick "if we want it."
Anthony Randolph has fallen out of the rotation and could be offered up in a deal, as New York looks to stockpile enough assets to pry Carmelo Anthony from the Nuggets.

Sat Dec 11 201006:03Report: Knicks fielding calls on Ant-Rand
The New York Daily News reports that the Knicks have fielded several calls from teams interested in Anthony Randolph, with the most compelling conversations coming from the Rockets according to a team source.
Certainly that source would love to puff up Ant-Rand's value by leaking that 'several' teams are interested. The report says Houston would trade a 1st round pick to the Knicks -- the pick they got from N.Y. in the T-Mac deal. The pick is key in the Knicks' pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, for whom they would trade Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry's contract, the pick, and another player (possibly Landry Fields). And as any clever 'plant' would go, the source says N.Y. may want to break up their team. Ant-Rand said he's aware a "couple of teams" have inquired about him, and Houston would be a pretty good destination for him.
