Wed Nov 24 201010:15Walsh fine with benching AntRand
Knicks president of basketball operations Donnie Walsh said he is fine with coach Mike D'Antoni's decision to leave Anthony Randolph out of the rotation.
Walsh was one of Randolph's biggest supporters and a main reason the mega-talent is in New York. But even Walsh realizes AntRand isn't ready yet. "It does him no good to go out there without a game to go to. He needs to work with coaches in defining how he can use his talent in a defined way," Walsh said. It's impossible to guess when Randolph will get back in the rotation.

Fri Nov 19 201010:04Anthony Randolph benched by Knicks
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni confirmed that Anthony Randolph might not crack the rotation in the near future.
"I told him, right now, this is all about the team and I've got to go with my gut and he might play and he might not," D'Antoni said. "Right now, it's all about the Knicks. We'll worry about individuals after we get out of the hole a little bit." This could turn around eventually, but for now Randolph appears to be a massive fantasy bust.

Thu Nov 18 201010:20Randolph picks up first DNP-CD
Anthony Randolph picked up his first DNP-CD as a Knick in Wednesday's win over the Kings.
Beat writer Marc Berman says that AntRand may only get off the pine tomorrow because the Knicks are playing the project's former team, Golden State. Randolph's career in New York is off to a miserable start and he is showing no signs of getting in the rotation. It's only worth stashing him in the deep leagues.

Mon Nov 15 201013:19Anthony Randolph still struggling for Knicks
Anthony Randolph had four points and two rebounds in 11 minutes off the Knicks bench on Sunday.
Randolph made a few good plays but more bad ones, and isn't endearing himself to Knicks fans or coach Mike D'Antoni. During the game beat writer Alan Hahn was moved to write, "Anthony Randolph is really not good...at all." It's tough to cut a guy with so much potential, but if this keeps up fantasy owners won't have any choice.
Thu Nov 11 201000:31Anthony Randolph gets just seven minutes
Anthony Randolph played just seven minutes Wednesday, finishing with zero points and three rebounds against the Warriors.
If you weren't convinced that Mike D'Antoni hates him before tonight, you are now. Not only was Ronny Turiaf out, but Randolph was facing his former team, who we're sure he would have liked to torch. It's hard to blame D'Antoni completely, as Randolph has failed to live up to the hype time and time again, but this is a clear indicator that he has a long way to go before D'Antoni's going to give him the time of day.
Wed Nov 10 201002:21Ant-Rand gets 28 minutes of action
Anthony Randolph got 28 minutes of action on Tuesday with Ronny Turiaf (knee) leaving the game, and finished with eight points on 2-of-7 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
If somebody dropped him this should be reason enough to pick him up, as he may be given the opportunity to earn Mike D'Antoni's trust if Turiaf misses time. As we've seen throughout his career, if he gets the minutes, the stats seemingly fly in his direction.
Tue Nov 9 201011:21D'Antoni looking for consistency from AntRand
Coach Mike D'Antoni said he is looking for "consistent effort" out of Anthony Randolph before giving him more minutes.
Randolph is averaging eight minutes a night since coming back from his ankle injury three games ago. D'Antoni loves Randolph's talent, but clearly doesn't trust him. Until that changes, this is the definition of what fantasy bench spots are for.

Fri Nov 5 201023:19Ant-Rand gets upped to 10 minutes on Friday
Anthony Randolph, who made his season debut on Thursday playing just three minutes, was upped to 10 minutes in Friday's game and scored two points on 1-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds, no assists, a steal, and two blocks.
This is what Mike D'Antoni means when he calls him a "stat magnet," which he has shown to be his entire career. Now minutes, on the other hand, have been the main issue and we don't have a crystal ball for that one. Keep holding him as long as he makes strides toward being a 25+ minute guy.
Thu Nov 4 201023:53A. Randolph makes season debut
Anthony Randolph made his season debut on Thursday, but played just two minutes and 53 seconds. He committed two fouls in that time span and didn't score.
Head coach Mike D'Antoni wasn't kidding when he said that Randolph wouldn't receive "big minutes" in the early going as he makes his way back from an ankle injury. If you've held onto Randolph to this point, you might as well keep holding him until we see what he's capable of with a healthier dose of minutes.
Wed Nov 3 201015:58Knicks' Randolph won't get big minutes early
According to Mike D'Antoni, Anthony Randolph (ankle) is going to be eased back into the rotation upon his return to action Thursday.
"He won't get big minutes to start, but if he's playing well he'll earn more minutes and more minutes," D'Antoni said. In other words, Randolph belongs on fantasy benches for the time being, but is worth owning in most formats due to his upside.

Wed Nov 3 201013:26Knicks' Randolph '100 percent' recovered
Anthony Randolph is reportedly "100 percent" recovered from his ankle injury and will play on Thursday against the Bulls.
Randolph has a chance to grow into a productive role in New York, but for now the safest move is to keep him benched until we see him start producing.

Tue Nov 2 201009:27Anthony Randolph to play Tuesday night
Anthony Randolph (ankle) is expected to play against the Magic on Tuesday night.
Randolph is going to beat his recovery time by a week. As he said, "It helps being 21." Let's see Randolph put something in the box score before we consider starting him in fantasy. He was at the back end of coach Mike D'Antoni's rotation before getting injured.

Mon Nov 1 201012:54Anthony Randolph (ankle) could play Tuesday
Anthony Randolph (ankle sprain) is practicing without limitations on Monday.
Randolph appears ready to play on Tuesday vs. the Magic -- over a week before his original return date. But considering how quiet he was to start the season, we'll need to see him succeeding before he can safely be started in fantasy leagues.

Sun Oct 31 201012:06A. Randolph could play on Tuesday
According to Knicks beat writer Marc Berman, Anthony Randolph (sprained left ankle) has been cleared to practice on Monday and could return as soon as Tuesday when the Magic visit Madison Square Garden.
Randolph is well ahead of schedule, as those close to the situation were speculating that the timetable for his return would be around two weeks. The reward for healing quickly? Dwight Howard.

Wed Oct 27 201018:24Ant-Rand to miss two weeks w/ sprained ankle
It was reported that Anthony Randolph will miss approximately two weeks with his sprained left ankle after the team re-evaluated him on Wednesday.
We're not going to drop him just yet, as he has too much upside to give up on at this point. And if somebody in your league ditches him, he's still a must-add at this early junction.

Wed Oct 27 201011:57Randolph to miss a week?
Anthony Randolph (ankle sprain) could be out at least a week.
Randolph's role upon his return is anyone's guess as he was at the back end of the rotation prior to this injury anyway. Still, we're not dropping Randolph yet. There is too much upside if/when he does become a 25+ minute guy nightly.

Tue Oct 26 201015:31Anthony Randolph ruled out for Wednesday
X-rays on Anthony Randolph's ankle came back negative, but he will not play in Wednesday's opener.
This is the same ankle that shut down Randolph last season, but it doesn't sound severe enough to keep him sidelined very long. With Timofey Mozgov (hip) questionable for Wednesday the Knicks might have to rely on Amare Stoudemire and Ronny Turiaf to hold down the paint.
Tue Oct 26 201012:25Anthony Randolph sprains ankle in practice
Anthony Randolph sprained his ankle during Tuesday's practice and his status for Wednesday's opener is in doubt.
Just when you think Randolph's preseason can't get any worse, he rolls his ankle the day before the season starts. The severity is unknown at this point, but get him out of all your lineups. He was buried in the Knicks' rotation anyway right now after shooting 37.3 percent in eight preseason games.

Fri Oct 22 201022:22Randolph still not getting it for Knicks
Anthony Randolph missed all five of his shots in 22 minutes on Friday, finishing with three points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and three blocks.
He has still not figured out Mike D'Antoni's offense and there's even a chance he won't be in the Knicks' rotation to start the season. Yes, his stock is still falling in fantasyland, but a trade to Denver might salvage his season.
Thu Oct 21 201021:17Report: Ant-Rand on the rotation bubble?
Newsday is reporting that Anthony Randolph is on the bubble of Mike D'Antoni's rotation after struggling to pick up his system.
"I think he'll be in the mix," D'Antoni said. "You just have to figure out how much, how little. He's 21 years old, he has a bright future and we're going to develop him." Newsday suggests that D'Antoni needs a fast start and may be forced to keep him out of what needs to be a smaller rotation, but the fact that Ant-Rand is getting dangled in trade talks along with D'Antoni's quote suggests he'll be in there -- but it's clear we're looking at a 'process' before a 'breakout.' Draft accordingly.
