Thu Jan 19 201201:36Anthony Randolph quiet again Wednesday
Anthony Randolph played just six minutes and scored one point in Wednesday's win.
Anthony Tolliver had 11 points, five boards, two steals and a block in 27 minutes off the bench, and is now a better deep-league option than Randolph.

Tue Jan 17 201200:26Randolph does it again; four points on Mon
Anthony Randolph scored four points with two rebounds in eight minutes on Monday.
Of course. There are few players in the league that rival Randolph in terms of expected disappointment.

Sat Jan 14 201201:26Anthony Randolph disappears on Friday
Anthony Randolph, who scored 18 points on Tuesday, played just 11 minutes off the bench on Friday with zero points, two rebounds and a steal on 0-of-2 shooting.
Yuck. After Tuesday's explosion it looked like Randolph had a chance to not only see more minutes, but even start for the Wolves. However, Darko Milicic drew another start tonight and Randolph was simply awful. While this doesn't mean he won't ever take over as the starting center in Minnesota, the hopes that we had for him breaking out this weekend were likely dashed tonight.

Thu Jan 12 201216:44Adelman still contemplating lineup changes
Coach Rick Adelman said he is still contemplating changes to his starting lineup.
Adelman is playing it close to the vest ahead of Friday's game in New Orleans. "I haven't made any decisions with that yet," he said. Anthony Randolph, Ricky Rubio and perhaps Derrick Williams are candidates to enter the starting five.

Wed Jan 11 201200:46Anthony Randolph has big night for Wolves
Anthony Randolph came off the bench and then started the second half for the Wolves on Tuesday, playing a season-high 29 minutes and posting a great line of 18 points, a steal and block on 6-of-10 shooting.
The fact he replaced Darko Milicic (scoreless tonight) to start the second half if huge news, and while Rick Adelman may have only done so for matchup purposes, fantasy owners need to take notice of Randolph's night. He could very well end up being a bust again, as he usually does, but picking him up and seeing what happens looks like a good idea after this one.

Tue Jan 10 201221:29Randolph, Rubio start second half for Wolves
Anthony Randolph, Ricky Rubio, Anthony Tolliver, Kevin Love and Luke Ridnour started the second half against the Bulls on Tuesday.
Darko Milicic and Wes Johnson will come off the bench this half, sliding Love over to center for the time being. This could be just a matchup thing with the Bulls, but could also be big news for Rubio and Randolph. Rubio's already a must-own player, and Randolph will at least deserve attention if he's going to start getting heavy minutes from Rick Adelman. Stay tuned.

Thu Aug 11 201104:23Ant-Rand considering joining a fraternity
Wolves forward Anthony Randolph is attending classes at LSU with the extra time he has during the lockout, and is considering joining a fraternity according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
"The students know I'm from the NBA, but it's more fun because I can focus on my schoolwork," said Randolph. "I don't have the basketball distraction. I'm a more focused student now after being in the real world for a couple of years." While this could be an entirely positive development in his maturity, Wolves fans probably won't be thrilled to hear him call basketball a "distraction."

Fri Jul 15 201123:47Nelson says Ant-Rand didn't work hard for him
Don Nelson said that Anthony Randolph didn't work hard for him in their time with the Warriors, but talked about his physical abilities and need to learn how to "become a player."
"I drafted Randolph," said Nellie. "He didn't play very well for me. He's another guy, like Beasley, who has talent, but he has to reach down and get it. He didn't work that hard for me, but he's 6-11 and he can do things nobody else can do right now with running, jumping and playing around the rim." Just when you thought Ant-Rand hype on draft day would end, a marriage between these two will likely cause a repeat.

Tue Jul 12 201119:48Report: Nellie interested in coaching Wolves
ESPN's Marc Stein reported Tuesday that Don Nelson is interested in the Wolves' open coaching position.
Oh, Nellie. Only the most dysfunctional franchise in the NBA could be interested in the longtime coach of the team that used to hold that title. David Kahn has indicated that he wants to play uptempo ball, and this scenario is just crazy enough to work. If you're in a Dynasty league now is an excellent time to speculate on Wolves players -- unless you're looking at Nellie's whipping post Anthony Randolph.

Mon Jun 20 201113:54Report: Wolves don't plan on trading Randolph
The Timberwolves don't plan on trading Anthony Randolph or Michael Beasley, according to ESPN's Ric Bucher.
The Wolves are widely expected to take Arizona F Derrick Williams at No. 2 overall, creating a logjam at forward. But the latest rumors have them shopping Williams, not their two incumbent youngsters. With Jonny Flynn also on the block, the Wolves project to be the most active team on draft night once again.

Tue Apr 12 201101:22Anthony Randolph scores 24 off bench
Anthony Randolph came off the bench for 24 points, 10 rebounds and two steals on 10-of-20 shooting Monday, collecting his fifth double-double of the year for the Wolves.
He's been a nice fantasy pickup and will hopefully get plenty of run again in Wednesday's finale against the Rockets.

Sun Apr 10 201101:23Ant-Rand medicore with Love out vs. Nugs
Anthony Randolph was mediocre with Kevin Love (groin) out in Saturday's blowout loss to the Nuggets, as he scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, one steal, and one block in 22 minutes.
These numbers aren't killing owners, but they're not justifying the risk owners take when you consider he has the chance of getting benched nightly. That said, with Love's season in doubt, we have no problem with owning or deploying Randolph while he is out.

Wed Apr 6 201123:27Anthony Randolph scores 19 off bench
Anthony Randolph came off the bench behind Anthony Tolliver on Wednesday and had 19 points, three rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes.
Kevin Love was out and Darko Milicic left early with another ankle sprain, so Randolph and Tolliver both got nice run. Darko might be done for the year, while there are no guarantees we see Love again, either. If you own Randolph, just hang onto him.

Tue Apr 5 201123:03Randolph double-doubles in Love's absence
Anthony Randolph posted a big double-double in Tuesday's 107-105 loss to the Nets with 20 points (8-of-16) and 10 rebounds with two blocks in 30 minutes off of the bench.
Randolph turned the ball over six times, but nobody is going to complain about this effort. Randolph is tantalizing owners with his meddling inconsistency, but he should continue to do fairly well as long as Love remains sidelined. Anthony Tolliver also played 30 minutes tonight, but managed just 14 points and five rebounds.

Sat Apr 2 201123:32Randolph plays just nine minutes vs. MEM
Anthony Randolph played just nine minutes in the Wolves' loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday, scoring one point with three rebounds and four turnovers.
We hope the rabid Ant-Rand fan base takes a picture of this game and puts it next to their computer. The 'potential' has never been questioned, but his ability to tap into it is what will define his career. Anthony Tolliver had a decent night with 12 points, two rebounds, four assists, and a three in 32 minutes.

Sat Apr 2 201119:25Ant-Rand to come off the bench vs. Grizzlies
Anthony Randolph will come off the bench on Saturday against the Grizzlies, as Luke Ridnour, Wayne Ellington, Wesley Johnson, Michael Beasley, and Nikola Pekovic will start.
Kurt Rambis likes Beasley on Zach Randolph, which is telling considering Ant-Rand has a length and athleticism advantage over Beasley -- though Beasley is a bit more compact. We're guessing foul trouble is the concern, here, and either way Randolph has a decent shot at 25+ minutes. Johnson, Ellington, and even Martell Webster are all worth a look as risky desperation plays.

Fri Apr 1 201123:18Anthony Randolph quiet in loss to Heat
Anthony Randolph played just 14 minutes and had four points and four rebounds in Friday's loss.
With Kevin Love back, Randolph is left scrapping for minutes with Anthony Tolliver, who had five points in 21 minutes.

Thu Mar 31 201100:58Randolph stays relevant
Anthony Randolph still managed to maintain some value despite Kevin Love's return on Wednesday, scoring 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting with five rebounds and three steals.
He probably wasn't in your lineup tonight with the return of Kevin Love and only stands to lose more playing time going forward. He's probably not a reliable option, especially with Anthony Tolliver playing 24 minutes and scoring 14 points.

Sun Mar 27 201123:48Anthony Randolph crashes back to earth Sunday
Anthony Randolph came back to earth with just three points and four rebounds in 16 minutes Sunday.
Randolph picked up two very quick fouls and then a third one before the half was over. He also shot 0-for-5 and turned the ball over three times, landing on coach Kurt Rambis' bench for most of the fourth quarter. It's the risk owners run with someone as inconsistent as Randolph, but we're not dumping him just yet. Even if Kevin Love (groin) can return on Wednesday, Randolph showed enough in his previous two games to get 25-28 minutes off the bench.
