Sat Mar 26 201102:50Ant-Rand does it again: 24 points, 15 boards
Anthony Randolph started for injured Kevin Love (groin) once more on Friday, scoring 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting with 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 37 minutes.
As one reader put it, he has done enough in the past two days to ensure that he is hyped up for another two years. The bottom line is that he should be owned in all leagues for the chance that he keeps it up, particularly if Love gets shut down. Even if Love returns, there is a chance that Randolph earns enough minutes to provide low-end value, too.

Thu Mar 24 201123:01Ant-Rand awesome in first start of season
Starting in place of Kevin Love (groin), Anthony Randolph lived up to hype, scoring 31 points on 14-of-20 shooting, with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in Thursday's loss to Dallas.
This is the game Randolph fans have been waiting all year for. Even if Love returns next week, a game like this will make Ant-Rand a hot pick-up this week. Assuming Love returns, then Randolph's value will depend on his minutes. The Wolves are terrible, and it is very possible as well that Randolph could get close to 30 minutes a night playing next to Love. Either way, adding Randolph makes a lot of sense right now.

Thu Mar 24 201121:56WW Alert: Ant-Rand fever about to start
Anthony Randolph started for Kevin Love (groin) on Thursday, and has jumped out to a hot start with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with six rebounds and two steals in 19 minutes of action during the first half.
Reports about Kevin Love's return have varied in the past few hours, with an AP report quoting Kurt Rambis saying that there is a chance that Love could miss the rest of the season, and beat writer Jerry Zgoda calling the report "overstated." Zgoda reported earlier that Love would be targeting Sunday for a return, and also acknowledges the possibility of a shutdown, as this appears to be a case of the AP being behind in the news cycle. Regardless, even a marginal improvement on these numbers by Ant-Rand should send owners into a frenzy, as Randolph is taking on the look of a must-add player. Just know that Love could return and marginalize him.

Wed Mar 23 201114:42Anthony Randolph to start for Timberwolves
Anthony Randolph will start at power forward for the next two games with Kevin Love sidelined by a groin injury.
And if things go well, or Love stays injured, Randolph could conceivably start the rest of the way. This brings back memories of April 2008, when Randolph went off for more than 15 points, 10 boards, a steal and block per game for the Warriors. That mini-run started a hype machine that never really died, and it should be interesting to see if he still has those kind of numbers in him.

Wed Mar 23 201110:09Love's replacement not yet known
Coach Kurt Rambis said he would determine Kevin Love's (groin) potential replacement by matchups.
The Wolves are preparing as if Love will not be available in the short term. Nikola Pekovic is needed at center as Darko Milicic's backup, so we would expect the power forward minutes to be split up by Anthony Randolph and Anthony Tolliver. Minutes between those two would be dependent on production and game flow, making both high risk, high reward plays. We'd add Randolph first for his fantasy-friendly game.

Mon Mar 21 201109:47Anthony Randolph could see heavy minutes
Anthony Randolph played 24 minutes on Sunday, hitting 6-of-11 shots for 14 points, but didn't do much else besides committing seven turnovers.
The key here is the heavy minutes, combined with Kevin Love's groin injury. Groin injuries can knock NBA players out for weeks and it's entirely possible that Love could be shut down. If it happens, Randolph could get 25-30 minutes a game for the hapless Wolves, which would make him worth owning. Keep an eye out for more news on Love's injury.

Sun Mar 20 201119:56Anthony Randolph struggles in place of Love
Anthony Randolph suffered from a turnover plagued performance during Sunday's loss in place of the injured Kevin Love.
Randolph scored 13 points but had only four rebounds and committed seven turnovers in Love's place. Granted, he had some big shoes to fill, but it was still a disappointing performance by Randolph. Hopefully he will bounce back at the next opportunity.

Sun Mar 20 201117:02Randolph starts second half in place of Love
Anthony Randolph started the second half for the Timberwolves in place of the injured Kevin Love (groin).
Keep a close eye on Love's injury and Randolph's performance. If Love will have to miss any time and/or Randolph takes advantage, he would be a great emergency pickup.

Thu Mar 17 201101:01Anthony Randolph nearly double-doubles
Anthony Randolph had 10 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss.
Yes, these are exciting times for Randolph, who is actually seeing the floor occasionally, but the fact he only played 15 minutes of garbage time is all you really need to know. Maybe he'll blow up in the final week, but he's only worth owning if Kevin Love goes down. And Love looked fine tonight.

Thu Mar 10 201100:57Anthony Randolph scores 14 points
Anthony Randolph played 19 minutes and had 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal on 5-of-13 shooting Wednesday.
He missed Tuesday's practice with the flu but looked good tonight. It's tough to read too much into this line as the game was a complete blowout, but with Kevin Love's knee still an issue, Randolph might be worth stashing for now.

Tue Mar 8 201114:40Anthony Randolph misses Wolves practice
Anthony Randolph missed Tuesday's practice due to an illness.
That leaves him questionable for Wednesday's game, although he doesn't have much fantasy value when healthy.

Tue Mar 8 201100:57Ant-Rand plays just 10 minutes vs. Dallas
Anthony Randolph played just 10 minutes on Monday, and scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting with two rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
A nice per-minute line like this is bound to infuriate his supporters, but the result isn't surprising at all. And even though Darko Milicic got banged up tonight, we still can't see Kurt Rambis loosening the leash. If he does, we'll let you know.

Sat Mar 5 201121:42Anthony Randolph plays just 15 minutes
Anthony Randolph played just 15 minutes on Saturday, finishing with six points, five rebounds and three blocks.
With Darko Milicic due back Monday and Nikola Pekovic playing well, Randolph is going to continue to struggle to see enough minutes to make him relevant in most fantasy leagues.

Fri Mar 4 201121:45Randolph slows down, but gets 27 minutes
Anthony Randolph slightly dampened the enthusiasm around him with Friday's effort, scoring 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two blocks in 27 minutes.
It's not that this performance isn't somewhat useful, because it is, it's that it comes with Darko Milicic (personal) out, whose absence for the birth of his child doesn't sound as bad as it did when the conditions weren't known yesterday. For Randolph to be owned in standard leagues on anything other than a hope and prayer, he needed to have a bigger outing tonight.

Thu Mar 3 201111:02Randolph admits he's still not in shape
Anthony Randolph admitted that he had to take himself out of the game a few times Wednesday night because he was winded.
Randolph played nearly 25 minutes last night even though he's still working himself back into game shape. Within another week or so, he should be able to play with more confidence in his conditioning. Although Randolph is a poor bet to start at any point this year, he can certainly help most fantasy teams with 25-29 minutes nightly.

Wed Mar 2 201122:04Anthony Randolph turned loose for 19 & 10
Anthony Randolph played 25 minutes off the bench on Wednesday and hit 8-of-13 shots for 19 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and no blocks for the Wolves.
Darko Milicic was out for personal reasons and this game should earn Randolph more minutes going forward. He's the king of false alarms, but if you've had your eye on him all year, now is the time to grab him. Just know that he could crawl back under a rock when Darko is back.

Wed Mar 2 201102:54Ant-Rand gets extra minutes vs. Lakers
Anthony Randolph got some extra minutes due to other guys' foul trouble on Tuesday, scoring four points on 2-of-5 shooting with four rebounds and a steal in 14 minutes.
Darko Milicic and Nikola Pekovic were fouling machines tonight, and though Milicic isn't traveling with the team for Wednesday's game, we're not convinced Randolph will see extra minutes.

Sat Feb 26 201103:05Ant-Rand makes his Wolves debut - four mins
Anthony Randolph made his Wolves debut on Friday, playing four minutes on his way to two points on 1-of-2 shooting with no other statistics besides a turnover.
No, the Anthony Randolph Era is not starting anytime soon. He can safely be left on waivers in most formats unless there is an injury to the Wolves' frontcourt. Kurt Rambis has said repeatedly that he is going to bring the young, maligned forward along slowly.
Thu Feb 24 201100:57Anthony Randolph gets DNP from Rambis
Anthony Randolph was active on Wednesday, but didn't get into the game.
He's going to get a look from Kurt Rambis eventually, but doesn't know the system and is not a priority for Minnesota. Leave him on waivers for now.
Wed Feb 23 201118:38Anthony Randolph is active for Wolves
Anthony Randolph is active for the Wolves on Wednesday.
He should make his debut tonight against Memphis, as fantasy owners anxiously await to see how Kurt Rambis is going to use him. As soon as he starts getting upwards of 15 minutes a game, he's probably worth a flier.
