Muscala was assigned to Fort Wayne of the D-League on Friday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Muscala scored a season-high 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-8 FT) with four rebounds and four blocks in Saturday's loss to Cleveland.
The Hawks were losing by 28 points at halftime, so coach Mike Budenholzer emptied the bench and Muscala received extra minutes for the first time this season. He has played in the last three games and topped double digit minutes for the first time against the Wizards.
Fri Nov 7 201409:40Muscala has spent first three games of season on bench
Muscala has spent the first three games of the season on the bench.
Muscala is the last frontcourt option off the bench this year and will struggle to see much time on the court over the stretch of the season. Barring future injuries to Al Horford, Elton Brand, and Pero Antic, the pride of Bucknell is better left on the shelf in virtually every depth of league.

Muscala averaged 4.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in preseason, playing an average of 15.9 minutes.
Muscala looked solid in preseason and there's no reason to believe he won't continue serving as an okay back-up center. This comes after a strong Summer League performance too.

Mike Muscala is expected to play in Las Vegas Summer League.
He played in summer league last July before kicking off last season in Spain. The Hawks eventually brought him on board for 20 games last year, but he only played 10.8 minutes per game. He will need a fantastic offseason to get in the rotation to start the season.

Hawks sign C Mike Muscala.
The injury-depleted Hawks' frontcourt will get a boost with the signing of the Bucknell alum. Muscala led the ACB league of Spain in rebounding with 8.2 per game this season and should see some minutes with Paul Millsap, Gustavo Ayon, and Pero Antic banged up, but he isn't a player fantasy owners should be rushing to pick up.

The Hawks have reportedly inquired about signing their 2013 second-round draft pick Mike Muscala this season.
Muscala is a 6'11" center out of Bucknell who signed with a team in Spain after the draft and remains under contract. He's averaging 14.5 points while leading the ACB with 8.2 rebounds per game, and the Hawks' interest may not amount to much -- there is no offer on the table and Obradoiro has already rejected offers for Muscala from other Spanish-league teams.

Mike Muscala signed to play next season in Spain for Blusens Monbus Obradoiro.
He was the second-round pick of the Hawks and wasn't expected to get a crack at the NBA with the acquisition of Gustavo Ayon. Muscala didn't look too shabby in Las Vegas Summer League, but his athleticism and strengthen don't jump out as an NBA big just yet. He averaged 18.7 points and 11.1 boards at Bucknell.
