Mon Apr 29 201322:16Gerald Wallace turns in a gem on Monday
Gerald Wallace had a rare positive outing against the Bulls on Monday, shooting 5-of-8 from the field for 12 points with one board, three assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers.
This line looks like Gerald Wallace circa 2007 and he's been one of the bigger disappointing players for the Nets with his inconsistencies. He's under contract for the next two seasons, so he'll need to get his act together next season.

Sat Apr 27 201315:59Gerald Wallace hurts left leg vs. Bulls
Gerald Wallace suffered an apparent left leg injury in the third quarter of Saturday's game in Chicago and stayed in the game.
He didn't see Joakim Noah's screen to his right and Wallace went down grabbing his left leg. He dealt with a bruised left knee this season and he's been banged up for most of the year. He looks to be OK.

Fri Apr 26 201315:28Nets won't shake up their starting five yet
Coach P.J. Carlesimo said he will not change his starting lineup ahead of Saturday's Game 4 against the Bulls.
The fact that Carlesimo admitted to even thinking about a lineup change is telling. His team is shooting 35 percent over the last two games, with offensive liabilities Reggie Evans and Gerald Wallace taking a lot of the blame. "If we do some of the things that we normally do -- if we make some threes, if we finish in the paint, then we're okay and we can take advantage of other guys skill sets," Carlesimo said. "And not just say, 'to hell with it, let's just put an offensive team out there.' Because that'll get you in trouble where all of a sudden we're not as good defensively anymore."

Fri Apr 26 201312:47Gerald Wallace has no idea what his role is
Gerald Wallace said he doesn't have "a clue" what his role is on the Nets.
85 games into the season, Crash's role with the Nets is undefined. This comes after a previous report of Wallace admitting to losing his confidence during the regular season, and he's giving the Chicago Bulls bulletin board material with these ill-timed statements. Nevertheless, it's hard to fault Wallace for telling it like it is.

Mon Apr 22 201309:27D-Will wants Crash to get more involved
Deron Williams wants to get Gerald Wallace more involved in the offense.
Crash reverted to previous form in Game 1 with 14 points, six boards, two assists, a steal and two blocks in 37 minutes, easily one of his best efforts of the season. "I think we got to get him more involved, get up and down and not let them set up [on defense] and get him out in transition where he can be active," Williams said.

Sat Apr 20 201323:02What got into Gerald Wallace on Saturday?
Gerald Wallace turned back the clock on Saturday with a terrific game that included 14 points, six boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer on 5-of-7 shooting in 37 minutes.
All season long Wallace was the butt of many jokes with terrible, lackluster play. For whatever reason, he played one of his best games all year and the Barclay's Center crowd was even chanting his name. If Wallace plays like this for the rest of the series, Chicago doesn't have much of a chance.

Mon Apr 15 201322:45Gerald Wallace scores two points in return
Gerald Wallace scored two points with two assists and one steal in 22 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.
He's had a rough go in his first full season with the Nets. Needless to say, the Blazers are certainly enjoying the first-round pick they got in the Wallace trade to grab Damian Lillard. Wallace won't be worth drafting next year.

Mon Apr 15 201318:16Gerald Wallace will start for depleted Nets
The Nets will start C.J. Watson, MarShon Brooks, Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries and Andray Blatche against the Wizards on Monday.
Wallace is the only regular who will play tonight, probably because the Nets would love to see him break out of his terrible slump. Any of these players are decent adds if you need some warm bodies tonight.

Mon Apr 15 201300:05Gerald Wallace questionable to return Monday
Gerald Wallace (foot, leg) is questionable to play vs. the Wizards on Monday.
"Gerald will play if he's got a broken leg," said P.J. Carlesimo. "Maybe he'll be ready [Monday], maybe not. It was, 'Just don't bring him back until we're confident he can play minutes, particularly the way he plays.'" Keith Bogans is the Nets' fill-in starter at SF if Wallace can't suit up, with Jerry Stackhouse playing more off the bench, so there are no fantasy winners in this scenario.

Fri Apr 12 201310:29Gerald Wallace (leg contusion) out on Friday
Gerald Wallace has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. Indiana with a lower left leg contusion.
It was reported that Wallace suffered a heel contusion, but apparently it's a lower left leg contusion instead. Regardless, Crash will not play on Friday, and he'll likely be listed as day-to-day in the following days. With Wallace sidelined, expect Jerry Stackhouse to see some run with both Kris Humphries and Andray Blatche chipping in a bit more as well.

Wed Apr 10 201320:54Gerald Wallace suffers a heel contusion
Gerald Wallace suffered a heel contusion during Wednesday's game and his return is questionable.
He was in a lot of pain and it's a little surprising that he hasn't been ruled out. Wallace has the nickname "Crash" for a reason and he's really dealt with a multitude of injuries yet again this year. The Nets could go with a smaller lineup and put MarShon Brooks with the first unit. Brooks has been playing well, so he's worth a look in deeper formats.

Tue Apr 9 201322:58Gerald Wallace awful again in win
Gerald Wallace missed both his shots and failed to score in Tuesday's win.
He played 26 minutes and did have three rebounds, two steals and two blocks, but his confidence is shot and there's no reason to even own him right now. Maybe he'll get it turned around next year, but this has been a disastrous season for him in Brooklyn.

Mon Apr 8 201309:48Gerald Wallace admits he has zero confidence
Gerald Wallace admitted that his confidence is "totally gone" right now.
"I'm just at the point now...I'm in a situation where I feel like if I miss, I'm just going to get pulled out of the game, you know what I'm saying? I think I lost the confidence of the coaching staff and my teammates," he said. A very somber Wallace was speaking openly, but his inability to get going is a concern. Wallace played 31.5 minutes in Brooklyn's last game against the lowly Bobcats and Crash had one point, one rebound, five assists and a block while failing to register a single shot attempt. Since the All-Star break, Wallace is shooting 7-of-47 from distance and just 12-of-62 from shots beyond 10 feet.

Sat Apr 6 201322:43Gerald Wallace doesn't attempt a FG in 31 min
Gerald Wallace didn't attempt a single field goal in 31 minutes vs. Charlotte, finishing with one point after he split a pair of free throws.
Wallace is inventing new ways to torture fantasy owners, all of whom should have given up on him weeks ago in standard formats. The baller formerly known as Crash is averaging 3.0 points in his previous four games.

Thu Apr 4 201322:54Gerald Wallace scores four points vs. Chicago
Gerald Wallace (foot) returned to the lineup on Thursday with four points, two boards, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes against the Bulls.
He missed Wednesday's game with a sore left foot and the injury wasn't believed to be serious. Although, Wallace has been a shell of himself all year long. He's only taking 7.0 shots per game and is shooting 40 percent from the field, which makes him someone that should not be owned in standard leagues.

Thu Apr 4 201317:52Wallace will play Thursday; Johnson still GTD
Gerald Wallace (sore left foot) will be in the lineup Thursday but Joe Johnson (heel) will have to warm up before the Nets know his status.
Wallace sat out Wednesday night in what seemed to be a case of the Nets protecting Crash from himself while also saving him for the second half of a back-to-back set. Wallace is unlikely to be 100 percent the rest of the season but that's the case for most of the league right now. That's also the case with Johnson, who's been dealing with the heel injury for weeks now. We should know his status as soon as he goes through pregame warmups.

Wed Apr 3 201318:10Gerald Wallace unlikely to play Wednesday
Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo says he doesn't think Gerald Wallace (sore left foot) will play Wednesday night.
Wallace said he expected to play but the soreness apparently hasn't subsided enough for Crash to be in the lineup. The Nets have the second half of a back-to-back set Thursday against the Bulls, so it's possible the Nets want to save him for that. We would say Keith Bogans would start at small forward, but Bogans is a game-time decision, as well. We'll update you as soon as we know something final.

Wed Apr 3 201310:03Gerald Wallace a game-time call Wednesday
Gerald Wallace (sore left foot) is a game-time decision on Wednesday against Cleveland.
Wallace's foot soreness won't subside, so the Nets could choose to give him Wednesday off with a back-to-back set concluding against the Bulls on Thursday. If he sits, Keith Bogans could start at small forward with C.J. Watson moving into the starting lineup at shooting guard in place of Joe Johnson (heel).

Tue Apr 2 201313:33Gerald Wallace held out Tuesday w/ sore foot
Gerald Wallace (sore foot) did not practice on Tuesday.
Wallace has battled foot soreness for about a week now, so the Nets will give him time off in order to keep him fresh for the postseason. He's expected to play on Wednesday against the Cavs.

Sun Mar 31 201300:16Gerald Wallace plays through sore feet
Gerald Wallace played through sore feet in Saturday's loss to the Jazz, scoring two points with two boards and three assists in 23 minutes.
He actually was mustering up some value with 2.6 steals and 9.6 points per game in his previous five, but he let down those that thought he was coming around. Wallace has been known as Crash for his reckless play, but those that drafted him this year may call him Crash for a different reason entirely.
