Sun Mar 3 201322:04Stephen Jackson (ankle) plays well in return
Stephen Jackson (ankle) returned to action vs. the Pistons on Sunday with six points, eight rebounds, six assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes.
Jax was doubtful to play but he laced them up for his short-handed squad, and he's worth a look in deep leagues (with the caveat that the Spurs only play twice this week). This game distills the Spurs' kitchen-sink approach with Tony Parker out approximately four weeks -- nobody played more than 27 minutes, and 14 different Spurs were in the scoring column.

Sun Mar 3 201318:02Stephen Jackson will return on Sunday
Stephen Jackson (ankle) will return to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
He suffered the sprain on Wednesday and missed Friday's game, but it sounds like he should be ready to go. Jackson may be charged with more responsibility with the ball since Tony Parker is out, but he's not worth owning in standard leagues.

Thu Feb 28 201313:12Stephen Jackson has MRI, doubtful Friday
Stephen Jackson had a "routine" MRI performed on his ankle and is doubtful to play on Friday.
Jackson sprained his ankle on Wednesday, and it's the same ankle he had issues with earlier in the season. The results of Jackson's MRI are pending, but we seriously doubt he'll play on Friday. Without him, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green will be asked to do more on the wing.

Wed Feb 27 201322:14Stephen Jackson sprains right ankle vs. PHX
Stephen Jackson sprained his right ankle in Wednesday's game against the Suns and he will not return.
This is the same famous right ankle that was sprained while New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg was being served a beverage. Jackson played just 17.7 minutes per game in February and guys like Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green may pick up a few extra minutes.

Fri Feb 22 201301:31Stephen Jackson returns from personal issue
Stephen Jackson played 20 minutes in his return from personal issues on Thursday, scoring five points to go with three rebounds, two assists and three steals vs. the Clippers.
He got a little more burn that usual with Kawhi Leonard (knee) resting, but he still couldn't muster up anything for the majority of fantasy leagues. Captain Jack can be left on the wire in almost every league.

Wed Feb 20 201316:34Stephen Jackson says he'll return Thursday
Stephen Jackson (personal) says he plans to rejoin the Spurs in time for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
Jackson has been away from the team since Feb. 11 and he wasn't expected to return in time for Thursday's game. Whether he plays against the Clippers is still up in the air, but at the very least he'll be on the bench. When he does return to game action, the values of Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Manu Ginobili should take a slight hit.

The Spurs take on the Kings, and Jackson is not expected to play. It's unclear when he'll be ready to join the team again, but in his absence, Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Manu Ginobili should each see a slight boost in minutes.

Stephen Jackson's (personal) status for Wednesday's game is uncertain.

Mon Feb 11 201319:10Stephen Jackson out for personal reasons
Stephen Jackson will not play on Monday due to personal reasons.
If you have Kawhi Leonard or Danny Green in your lineup tonight, both players looked prime for big things, as Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are also out for Monday's game.

Thu Jan 24 201300:18Stephen Jackson fills in at SF on Wednesday
Stephen Jackson made a fill-in start at SF on Wednesday, scoring 15 points with three 3-pointers and three assists in a win over the visiting Hornets.
Jack blocked a shot and made a handful of critical plays as the Spurs clawed their way back from an early deficit to win their sixth straight game, despite the absence of Tim Duncan (knee) and Kawhi Leonard (knee). Kawhi is day-to-day after cutting his knee on a nail during Monday's game, so Jackson doesn't have a long shelf-life as a starter.

Thu Jan 10 201301:30Stephen Jackson ejected in win over Lakers
Stephen Jackson had 14 points, two rebounds, one assist and four 3-pointers on 5-of-9 shooting in 18 minutes before being ejected from Wednesday's game with two technical fouls.
Jackson has no fantasy value at this point, and probably won't as long as he playing off Gregg Popovich's bench.

Mon Jan 7 201309:40Stephen Jackson game-time call Monday
Stephen Jackson (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Monday against the Hornets.
Jackson was previously called "50-50," so nothing changes with this designation. Owners will have to check back for an update, and if Jack sits, look for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to pick up extra minutes.

Sun Jan 6 201310:07Stephen Jackson (ankle) '50-50' for Monday
Gregg Popovich said that Stephen Jackson (sprained ankle) is "50-50" to play in Monday's game vs. the Hornets.
Captain Jack doesn't do enough to warrant gambling on him in standard leagues, though his absence would have an impact by clearing more minutes for Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard. We may not receive a definitive update on his status until Monday's shootaround.

Sat Jan 5 201311:56Stephen Jackson won't play Saturday night
Stephen Jackson (sprained ankle) won't play Saturday night against the 76ers.
Jackson originally hurt the ankle when he stepped on the foot of a courtside waitress during Thursday's game against the Knicks. There's been no official long-term diagnosis, but ankle sprains usually cost a player at least a couple games. We'll update you as soon as we know more. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green will likely absorb Jackson's minutes.

Coach Gregg Popovich did not know the severity of Stephen Jackson's ankle sprain following Thursday's loss to the Knicks.
Jackson rolled his ankle on a waitress during the first quarter and had to be helped to the locker room. He declined to comment after the game. Expect Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to soak up a few extra minutes if Captain Jack misses time.
