Jack scored 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-4 FT) with five rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes off the bench Wednesday.
It's his best game of the season so far, but it will probably take a Deron Williams injury for Jack to have consistent fantasy value.

Jack will serve as the Nets' backup at point guard this season and should also see time backing up the shooting guard position.
Jack was acquired in the offseason from the Cavaliers, where he also served as Kyrie Irving's backup. The 31-year-old guard has served as a solid backup guard the past two season in Golden State and Cleveland, averaging about 11 points per game and adding 5 assists per game in that time period. Jack could see time filling in for both Deron Williams and Paul Pierce throughout the season.
Thu Jul 10 201414:50Jarrett Jack excited to provide depth to Nets
Jarrett Jack spoke about his potential role with the Brooklyn Nets during his introductory press conference on Thursday.
"I can relieve Deron of the ball handling responsibilities and create opportunities for myself and my teammates," Jack said. He also spoke on his down year in Cleveland, and the reasons why his production slipped, "I was more of a facilitator than I was accustomed to being in Cleveland." Jack may have some fantasy as a 6th man or starting shooting guard in a small-ball lineup, but he shouldn't be drafted before the mid rounds in most leagues.

Wed Jul 9 201410:27Nets acquire Jarrett Jack in three-team trade
The Nets are on the verge of acquiring Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack in a three-team trade, with Marcus Thornton and Tyler Zeller going to the Celtics.
The Nets will also acquire F Sergey Karasev from Cleveland, and Boston will pick up a first-round draft pick for helping to facilitate the deal. The Cavs' incentive is ridding themselves of Jack's remaining $12.6 million over two years, giving them the necessary salary-cap space for a max offer to LeBron James. They'll also get a second-round pick from Boston. Jack may start at shooting guard if the Nets opt to use a small lineup again next season, or he may backup both PG and SG as a primary reserve. The 30-year-old veteran is coming off a down season in Cleveland and the change of scenery should do him good.

Sun Jul 6 201422:59Report: Cavs float Jarrett Jack trade offer
The Cavaliers are reportedly trying to trade Jarrett Jack to clear salary-cap space in their pursuit of LeBron James.
Jack will earn a guaranteed $12.6 million over the next two seasons, with a $6.3 million team option in the third and final year of his contract. The Nets may be interested in acquiring him if they can ship Marcus Thornton to another club in the bargain, which is ironic since former coach Jason Kidd was bitter about the Nets' trade for Thornton instead of Jack last season. No trade is imminent but it's worth mentioning that Jack is on the block.

Sat Jun 21 201415:37Nets, Cavs talking Jack & Marcus Thorton deal
The Nets and Cavs are discussing a trade involving Jarrett Jack for Marcus Thornton.
Jack had an up-and-down year with the Cavs last year, but they are really going to need to get another backup point guard considering how often Kyrie Irving is injured. Jack would become a backup behind another oft-injured point guard in Deron Williams.

Sat Apr 12 201401:48Jack scores 21 points off the bench vs. Bucks
Jarrett Jack scored 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting with two threes, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and 5-of-5 hits from the foul line on Friday against the Bucks.
Jack logged 34 minutes off the bench and depending on whether or not Kyrie Irving is truly healthy after returning from a biceps injury, he could see more run than would be expected for an aging player on a team out of contention. Matthew Dellavedova (four points, four assists, 25 minutes) could also see some run, but he's more of a guy to watch than pick up right now.

Wed Apr 2 201421:26Jarrett Jack gets 30 minutes off the bench
Jarrett Jack came off the bench Wednesday for 13 points, four rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes.
In a twist off previous strategy, the Cavs chose to start Dion Waiters at shooting guard with Kyrie Irving (biceps) healthy. Jack gave owners plenty of value in this one, but his minute count was aided by a 23-point halftime lead and Irving coasting to just 28 minutes. On most nights, Jack will hover around 25-27 minutes as a third guard. Owners should be able to do better by streaming down the stretch.

Wed Apr 2 201417:51Jarrett Jack going back to the bench.
Jarrett Jack will move back to the bench on Wednesday vs. the Magic with Kyrie Irving (biceps) returning.
The Cavs have used him at shooting guard, but Dion Waiters has played well enough to keep his starting distinction. Jack should have already been cut in most fantasy formats.

Sun Mar 30 201418:46Jarrett Jack plays 36 minutes in win over IND
Jarrett Jack played 36 minutes during a surprising blowout 90-76 win over the Pacers, scoring 11 points with six boards, nine assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.
This could be his last hooray with Kyrie Irving (biceps) targeting a return on Tuesday, which is not a guarantee. Regardless, the Cavs have a horrible schedule this week with games on a 13-game Wednesday, a 14-game Friday and a six-game Saturday. Jack is a player to consider cutting if he's on the bottom third of your roster with respect how much you value him.

Wed Mar 26 201423:29Jarrett Jack comes on late to salvage night
Jarrett Jack struggled on Wednesday, but turned it on late to finish with 17 points, two 3-pointers and one assist on 7-of-15 shooting.
Jack kept it going tonight, as the Cavs made a furious comeback and scored the game's final 10 points for the unlikely win, after entering the fourth quarter in a 82-66 hole. Jack should be in most lineups the rest of the way, as it's hard to imagine Kyrie Irving playing again this season.

Tue Mar 25 201421:58Jarrett Jack solid again as Cavs defeat Raps
Jarrett Jack followed up Sunday's 31-point eruption with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block as the Cavs defeated the visiting Raptors on Tuesday.
The veteran made 6-of-9 field goals and only turned the ball over once in 37 minutes. He's found his groove, to say the least, and remains a great rest-of-season option with Kyrie Irving (bicep) questionable to return.

Sun Mar 23 201422:36Jarrett Jack's 31 & 10 lead Cavs past Knicks
Jarrett Jack tore up the Knicks' defense during Sunday's road win, scoring a season-high 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting with one 3-pointer, five rebounds and 10 assists.
All it took was a date with the Knicks' defense for Jack to find his groove, and he's an intriguing fantasy option given his unquestioned starting PG role and the Cavs' nice four-game schedule this week. Better yet, those games come against a group of up-tempo teams in the Lakers, Kings, Suns and Warriors. Kyrie Irving (strained bicep) will be re-evaluated in one week and his potential return date is unknown.

Sat Mar 22 201422:33Jarrett Jack scores 11 points in loss
Jarrett Jack scored just 11 points during Saturday's 118-111 loss to the Rockets to go with four boards, six assists and one block in 36 minutes.
The minutes, dimes and somewhat low turnovers have been there, but the points haven't quite come around since his 22-point explosion on Tuesday. Jack should be fine and he'll get a better matchup than Pat Beverley against the Knicks on Sunday.

Thu Mar 20 201422:09Jarrett Jack cools off vs. Thunder
Jarrett Jack's second consecutive start at point guard did not go well on Thursday vs. the Thunder with six points, three boards, four assists, one steal and two turnovers in 34 minutes.
He really had nowhere to go but down from his 22-point game on Tuesday and he'll have more sub-par games on the way thanks to shooting just 40.3 percent from the field this season. Jack is still going to be very helpful on the stat sheet in points, assists, steals and treys, so he's worth owning in all standard leagues.

Tue Mar 18 201422:23Jarrett Jack hits four 3-pointers in loss
Jarrett Jack hit 8-of-13 shots and four 3-pointers for 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Heat.
We've been saying that Jack would be a good player to own if his shot would ever fall and that was the case tonight. And with Kyrie Irving likely done for the rest of the season, Jack looks like a good player to own in all leagues right now.

Mon Mar 3 201409:53Jarrett Jack's sore left knee 'calmed down'
Jarrett Jack said that he's been bothered by a sore left knee all season, but the injury "has calmed down a little bit."
"The pain is a little more tolerable than before ... I've been able to be more myself," Jack said. He also suggested that he might head to the bench once C.J. Miles (ankle) and Dion Waiters (knee) return to the lineup, but Waiters was coming off the bench prior to getting injured so that's far from guaranteed.

Sun Mar 2 201400:11Jarrett Jack scores six points in 35 minutes
Jarrett Jack scored six points in 35 minutes during Saturday's 110-96 loss to the Grizzlies, adding three boards, five assists, one steal and one turnover.
The Cavs have little depth on the wing and have used Jack for 33.2 minutes per game over their last five. In that stretch, he averaged 10.0 points, 2.8 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 triples on 38.0 percent from the field. If those numbers sound appealing to you, give Jack a look.

Wed Feb 26 201423:27Jarrett Jack bounces back after benching
Jarrett Jack bounced back after being benched on Tuesday with a season-high 21 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and three 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting.
He also hit 6-of-6 free throws and is finally heating up in the Cavaliers' starting lineup. Jack is averaging nearly 36 minutes a game for the Cavs over his last five and his shots are finally starting to fall, as he's hit 11-of-24 over his last two games. He's averaging 16.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 3-pointers over his last two games and could be ready to take off. If you've had your eye on him, now looks like the time to move.

Tue Feb 25 201423:38Jarrett Jack benched for Matt Dellavedova
Jarrett Jack hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 12 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in Tuesday's loss to Toronto.
While this was one of his better shooting nights in recent memory, he was benched for undrafted Matthew Dellavedova down the stretch. Dellavedova played 29 minutes and finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists, and Jack still looks like the guy to own out of this duo, despite how things transpired tonight.
