Sun Feb 23 201421:01Jarrett Jack playing some uninspired ball
Jarrett Jack's struggles continued on Sunday vs. the Wizards, shooting 3-of-11 from the field for six points, four boards, three assists and three turnovers.
He hasn't cracked 33.3 percent from the field in any of his four games and is in a noticeable slump. The Cavs needed Jack to step up with C.J. Miles and Dion Waiters down, but he's just not capable of scoring in his age-30 season. There's just no reason to own him in most leagues after his recent performances.

Thu Feb 20 201414:04Jarrett Jack expected to stay in CLE
Jarrett Jack is expected to stay in Cleveland past the 3pm ET deadline.
Per CBS' Ken Berger, the best chance the Cavs had to move Jack was to Sacramento for Jason Thompson. But they "balked" at taking back salary, and also passed on a possible deal for J.J. Barea because Barea has two years left on his contract. Jack will continue to play his steady veteran's role at both the point and off-guard spots. He'll be on the low-upside plug-n-play radar if Dion Waiter and C.J. Miles miss time with their injuries.

Thu Feb 20 201413:07Report: Wolves targeting Jarrett Jack
After missing out on Andre Miller (Wizards), the Timberwolves are now said to be targeting Cavs G Jarrett Jack to help back up both guard spots in Washington.
We've seen some reports that Jack is unlikely to be moved today, but it sounds like there's still plenty of interest out there. Jack is just starting to come on for the Cavaliers and posted a fat stat line on Wednesday night.

Thu Feb 20 201409:17Report: Jarrett Jack not likely to be traded
The Plain Dealer is reporting on Twitter that Jarrett Jack isn't likely to be traded by the Cavaliers on Thursday.
The tweet was short, sweet and offered no details, but if Jack stays in Cleveland and sticks in the starting lineup the rest of the way, he could be a sneaky add right now, despite his season-long struggles. He had 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer last night.

Wed Feb 19 201423:11Jarrett Jack fills stat sheet in Cavs win
Jarrett Jack hit just 3-of-10 shots, but finished Wednesday's game with 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer.
He's starting and C.J. Miles left tonight's game with a sprained ankle, meaning Jack could be ready to go on a run. If you've had your eye on him and were thinking of picking him up, it's time. But just beware that he hasn't been able to do much this season, despite some lofty expectations and some recent quality playing time.

Tue Feb 18 201422:51Jarrett Jack hands out seven assists in win
Jarrett Jack made another start on Tuesday and had six points, two rebounds, seven assists and a steal in 23 minutes, hitting 2-of-6 shots.
Dion Waiters suffered a knee injury in this one and Jack should keep his starting job for now. And if Waiters is going to miss time, it would not be at all surprising to see Jack get hot over the next couple weeks.

Tue Feb 18 201410:04Kings join Nets in pursuit of Jarrett Jack
The Kings have joined the Nets in pursuit of Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The Nets' reported talks center around a Jack-for-Jason Terry swap, while it's unclear what the Kings are offering in return for the veteran combo guard. Jack is having a disappointing season in Cleveland and a move to the starting lineup didn't help matters, so any trade should be welcomed from a fantasy perspective.

Mon Feb 17 201415:16Nets are interested in Jarrett Jack
The Nets have interest in Jarrett Jack before the trade deadline, according to ESPN.com.
The trade rumor consists of a deal for Jason Terry. The Cavaliers have soured on Jack and he's played just 18.0 minutes per game over his last five. The Nets have gotten a lot out of Shaun Livingston this year, so Jack wouldn't necessarily be the primary backup to the oft-injured Deron Williams. There's little reason to pick up Jack in fantasy leagues based on this trade rumor.

Thu Feb 13 201400:14Jarrett Jack plays better on Wednesday
Jarrett Jack hit 3-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, two rebounds, eight assists and two steals in another start on Wednesday.
He hasn't lived up to the hype all season, but if he continues to start, could make a run after the All-Star break. He's not a must-own player, and Dion Waiters didn't do much tonight, but just keep an eye on Jack in case he starts doing this on a regular basis.

Sat Feb 8 201400:15Jarrett Jack doesn't score in 12 minutes
Jarrett Jack missed all three of his shots in 12 minutes and had no stats against the Wizards.
Yeah, that's not exactly the best way to stay in the starting lineup. Jack's move to the starting shooting guard has actually hurt his overall production, so maybe a move back to the bench will help him. Of course, fantasy owners don't need to be too attached to keeping him on their roster after this massive dud.

Wed Feb 5 201423:09Jarrett Jack plays 17 minutes vs. Lakers
Jarrett Jack played just 17 minutes against the Lakers on Wednesday with seven points, four boards, one assist, one block and one turnover.
He did not play in the fourth quarter during his third consecutive start at shooting guard. The Cavs allowed the Lakers to set a new franchise record in 3-pointers due to some horrific perimeter defense and it's not clear if Jack will move back to the bench for Friday. He hasn't done much in the starting unit, so he's not a must-own player in standard leagues by any means.

Tue Feb 4 201402:11Jack goes for 12 and eight in start
Jarrett Jack was moved into the starting lineup in Monday's loss to the Mavs, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and eight assists in 40 minutes.
It's about time the Cavs turn to Jack instead of blindly giving minutes to their young, immature guards. Mike Brown could always reverse course here but the toothpaste might be out of the tube with regard to Dion Waiters (11 minutes) and it's no longer a secret that Kyrie Irving (27 points, eight assists, four treys) is gunning for numbers. Jack doesn't do much but provide popcorn stats so he needs to put up bigger numbers to float his value. If he can duplicate this on most nights, he'll be worth owning in 12-14 team formats.

Mon Feb 3 201409:26Jarrett Jack may stick as Cavs' starting SG
Jarrett Jack's move into the starting lineup on Saturday was not intended to "send a message" to Kyrie Irving, according to Cavs coach Mike Brown.
Brown and some Cavaliers players have lamented Kyrie Irving's tendency to dribble the air out of the ball, and Jack's start over C.J. Miles was at least partly designed to facilitate ball-movement. The new-look backcourt should remain in place for at least Monday's matchup with the Mavericks, making Jack worth a look for fantasy owners in need of guard help.

Sat Feb 1 201420:12Jarrett Jack starting next to Kyrie on Sat.
Jarrett Jack will start against the Rockets on Saturday night.
C.J. Miles has in a funk since Luol Deng join the team and the Cavs really need a spark. Jack's minutes shouldn't change much and coach Mike Brown is likely just changing his rotation around. If anything, a move to the second unit could help Miles.

Wed Jan 15 201401:28Jarrett Jack invisible in win over Lakers
Jarrett Jack hit just 1-of-5 shots for four points, two rebounds, five assists and a steal in 18 minutes of Tuesday's win.
We are about ready to give up on Jack, as guys like C.J. Miles, Dion Waiters and Matthew Dellavedova have simply played better than Jack for most of the season. That doesn't mean he won't get it going at some point, but the strong play of Dellavedova off the bench has really hurt Jack's opportunity. And so has Jack, given his poor play this season. Dellavedova had 11 points and three 3-pointers off the bench in 20 minutes tonight.

Sat Jan 11 201402:00Jack (back) plays on Friday vs. Jazz
Jarrett Jack (back) returned to action on Friday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two assists and that's it in 26 minutes.
Jack wasn't really productive when he was totally healthy and the addition of Luol Deng isn't going to do him any favors. He's only worth a look in deeper leagues.

Fri Jan 10 201411:07Jarrett Jack expected to play Friday
Jarrett Jack (back) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Jazz.
Jack practiced in full on Thursday. His return along with the Cavs debut of Luol Deng means that owners chasing C.J. Miles' hot streak will likely end up punished.

Thu Jan 9 201414:23Jarrett Jack (back) could return vs. Jazz
According to Cavs beat writer Bob Finnan, it "sounds like" Jarrett Jack (back spasms) will return to action vs. Utah on Friday.
Jack's brief window as Cleveland's starting PG has closed now that Kyrie Irving (knee) is healthy, and he hasn't provided much value in a backup role this year. In 33 games with the Cavs, he's averaging 9.9 points on 40.7 shooting with 0.9 threes, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 0.6 steals.

Tue Jan 7 201413:21Jarrett Jack won't play against Sixers
Jarrett Jack (back spasms) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Sixers.
Jack's back issue is apparently more severe than a simple stiffening. Matthew Dellevedova will be forced to step in as Kyrie Irving's backup -- assuming Irving plays through his knee bruise.

Tue Jan 7 201411:57Jarrett Jack was able to warm up on Sunday
Jarrett Jack (back spasms) did try to warm up before sitting out Sunday's game against the pacers.
It suggests that Jack's back injury is not overly severe. The Cavs have not updated his status since, leaving him as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Sixers -- along with Kyrie Irving. It's a situation to monitor closely for FanDuelers as whoever starts at point guard for the Cavs would have serious value against the Sixers' league-worst defense. Even third-stringer Matthew Dellevedova.
