Sun Feb 27 201111:34Hasheem Thabeet's role with Rockets uncertain
Rockets coach Rick Adelman shared that he isn't certain of the role that newly acquired Hasheem Thabeet will have with the lineup going forward.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with him," Adelman said. "Let's give him 36 hours and we'll figure it out." Don't expect much from Thabeet in Houston any time soon.

Sun Feb 27 201100:37Thabeet gets two minutes, two fouls in debut
Hasheem Thabeet made his Rockets debut Saturday and had two fouls in two minutes, and nothing else.
Rick Adelman will have to give him 15 minutes a night for him to have a chance, but the Rockets have plenty of (weak) options backing up Chuck Hayes. Ignore Thabeet for now, as usual, unless he starts getting real playing time.
Thu Feb 24 201117:35Hasheem Thabeet to play for Rockets
Hasheem Thabeet is taking his talents to the Rockets after the Grizzlies traded him for Shane Battier.
The Rockets need a center and Thabeet was the No. 2 pick in the draft a couple years ago. Yes, he's still a big-time bust candidate, but he no longer has Marc Gasol in front of him, and also has a couple years under his belt. Chuck Hayes is still the starter for now, but if Thabeet is really NBA material, we're about to see what he can do. Keep a close eye on him and consider grabbing him if you need a deep-league center.
Tue Feb 22 201116:21Thunder showing some interest in Thabeet
Oklahoma City is taking a "careful look" at the possibility of acquiring Hasheem Thabeet, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
OKC is only interested in acquiring Thabeet at a "modest price," which may have something to do with the fact that the 2009 No.2 overall pick has actually been worse this year than he was as a rookie. Landing with the Thunder likely wouldn't do much of anything to improve Thabeet's outlook.

Tue Feb 15 201111:46Thabeet being shopped aggressively
The Grizzlies are including Hasheem Thabeet in aggressive trade talks, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeal.
No surprise here. The Grizzlies have essentially given up on developing the 2009 No. 2 overall pick, playing Thabeet just 8.2 minutes per game with numerous DNP-CDs sprinkled in. Thabeet wants out and no one can blame him. Now the Grizz just have to find a taker.

Thu Dec 23 201009:51Thabeet no longer untouchable
Hasheem Thabeet is no longer "untouchable" in trades and is the player "most likely" to be traded, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
NBA.com's David Aldridge reported nine days ago that the Grizz were shopping Thabeet, but the team denied it. Now it looks like they are ready to deal the former No. 2 overall pick. Thabeet is extremely raw, but is still a player to watch in fantasy due to his blocks upside. If he landed somewhere that was willing to give him 25-28 minutes, he could easily block at least two shots a game.

Tue Dec 21 201011:05Hasheem Thabeet not headed for DLeague yet
Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace said he has no plans to send Hasheem Thabeet to the NBADL right now.
Thabeet has been a fixture on Memphis' bench this season, averaging 8.7 minutes a night. He's not going to develop like that. Thabeet will be 24 in February and the former No. 2 overall pick is no signs of being an NBA contributor.

Tue Dec 14 201011:03Grizz deny that they are shopping Thabeet
The Grizzlies denied an NBA.com report that they are shopping Hasheem Thabeet "hard."
The NBA.com story came from reliable David Aldridge and we believe it. Thabeet, the No. 2 overall pick in last year's draft, has been extremely slow to develop and the Grizz already have their center of the future in Marc Gasol. A change of scenery would probably do Thabeet some good, as he's averaging just 8.4 minutes per game this season.

Thu Oct 28 201001:01Thabeet quiet despite absence of Gasol
Hasheem Thabeet came off the bench for zer points, three rebounds and three blocks in a loss to the Hawks on Wednesday.
We're not sure why he didn't get more run with Marc Gasol out, but Sam Young and Darrell Arthur got hot tonight.
Sun Oct 10 201001:03Thabeet struggles w/ fouls again on Sat.
Hasheem Thabeet started for the Grizzlies vs. the Hornets on Saturday, but he picked up five fouls in just 14 minutes.
Thabeet (four points, one rebound, two blocks) was part of an experimental starting five, along with rookie Xavier Henry (seven points, one rebound in 21 minutes). It wasn't successful, but the Grizzlies' bench once again gave them a lift as they knocked off New Orleans to become 3-0.
Thu Oct 7 201000:08Thabeet solid in preseason opener
Thabeet was solid in the Grizzlies' preseason opener, going 3-for-3 from the field and notching 10 points, five rebounds, one steal and one block in 13 minutes.
Coming off of a disappointing rookie campaign, Thabeet showed more offensive polish this summer. Marc Gasol is still the team's bonafide starting center, but Thabeet could earn enough floor time to be roster-worthy in deep formats as a one-category specialist (blocks).
Fri Jul 16 201000:43Thabeet goes off in summer league game
Hasheem Thabeet exploded for 21 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in Thursday's summer-league game.
Yes, it was just summer league, but it's nice to know the dude can play. If you find yourself at the end of your draft and need blocks, Thabeet is your man.
Tue Apr 13 201000:00Thabeet struggles w/ fouls again on Monday
Grizzlies rookie Hasheem Thabeet played 21 minutes on Monday, finishing a loss to Denver with seven points, six rebounds, and four blocks.
He made both his FGs and 3-of-4 FTs, but also racked up five fouls in his limited playing time. Unfortunately, we don't see him providing reliable value in fantasyland next season.
Sat Apr 10 201023:03Hasheem Thabeet horrible in Saturday's loss
Hasheem Thabeet started on Saturday but managed just two points, zero rebounds and four personal fouls in 15 minutes.
Thabeet has shown flashes of consistency since starting for injured Marc Gasol, but he was abysmal in this game. With Gasol and Zach Randolph locking down the starting frontcourt spots, Thabeet projects as nothing but a blocks & boards specialist next season.
Sat Apr 10 201000:21Thabeet gets just 12 minutes
Hasheem Thabeet had just two points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes of action on Friday.
Darrell Arthur (13 points, four rebounds, 30 minutes) came in and played well, so he stayed on the court at the center spot. With Marc Gasol out and the Grizzlies' season over, we would think that the raw Thabeet would play 25-30 minutes every night. But coach Lionel Hollins doesn't see it that way, making Thabeet a risky play down the stretch.
Thu Apr 8 201000:43Thabeet has just one block
Hasheem Thabeet had nine points, seven rebounds and one block in 30 minutes of work on Wednesday night.
It's pretty remarkable that a shot-blocker of Thabeet's caliber had just one stuff in that many minutes. But he went 4-for-4 from the field and stayed out of foul trouble. We still think he's worth a look as a category specialist over the last week.
Sun Apr 4 201021:22Thabeet ineffective in loss to Magic
Hasheem Thabeet did not score in 20 minutes of action against the Magic on Sunday, and managed just five rebounds to go with three blocks.
He also got mixed up with Orlando's Matt Barnes which escalated into a 10-player shoving match, shoving him after Barnes bumped into him while he was questioning a ref's foul call. He is starting with Marc Gasol (neck) out for the year, but hasn't done much to deserve being owned in fantasy leagues.
