Rhymes entered the year as the starting second baseman, but batted just .221/.321/.235 with one double and two RBI over 81 plate appearances. Carlos Guillen isn't anywhere close to returning, so the Tigers are much better off seing what Scott Sizemore can do. | ||||||

Rhymes doubled once and singled three times while also driving in a run. Rhymes now has three multi-hit games in four outing since returning from the minors and will continue to fill-in for Carlos Guillen at second base. There's no power to speak of here, but it wouldn't be completely surprising if Rhymes could maintain a solid average and steal a few bases from here on out.
