MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports that A.J. Ellis (knee) is "well ahead" of his projected 4-6 week timetable.
Ellis is already doing workouts in full catcher's gear just 12 days removed from surgery to repair the medial meniscus in his left knee. He wasn't expected back until mid-May at the earliest, but it's sounding like he could beat that timetable.

A.J. Ellis requested $4.6 million and was offered $3 million from the Dodgers when arbitration figures were exchanged on Friday.
The two sides will likely settle someplace in the middle around $3.65 million, which would still represent a nice raise for Ellis who earned $2 million in 2013. He has developed into a decent enough catcher to be used in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues, smashing 23 homers and plating 104 runs over the past two seasons.
