Astros recalled OF Brian Bogusevic from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Bogusevic will take the place of the injured Jason Michaels on the active roster. The 27-year-old outfielder appeared in 19 games with the Astros last season, but spent most of the year at the Triple-A level. The former 2005 first-round pick was batting .241/.392/.362 over his first 74 plate appearances this season. He has some speed, but is unlikely to have much fantasy value.

Brian Bogusevic and the Astros have agreed to a one-year, $416,500 contract.
Bogusevic has recovered from off-season foot surgery and will enter camp hoping to add to last season's five hits in 28 major league at-bats. With the venerable Carlos Lee currently occupying left field, expect Bogusevic to compete for the fourth outfielder position.

Brian Bogusevic underwent successful right foot surgery Wednesday.
The procedure was considered minor and he is expected to be ready by the start of spring training next season. Bogusevic, 26, batted .277 with 13 homers and 57 RBI at the Triple-A level this past season.
