Fri May 16 201418:00Kyle Lohse moves record to 5-1
Kyle Lohse held the Cubs to three runs over seven innings in Friday's 4-3 victory.
Lohse allowed seven hits and one walk while striking out a pair. Two of the hits the right-hander gave up left the yard, but he was able to cruise through the final four innings unscathed before the Brewers' bullpen closed it out. The owner of a 5-1 record and 2.88 ERA, Lohse will try to keep it going next week in Atlanta.

Sun May 4 201421:37Lohse keeps Reds to two runs in no-decision
Kyle Lohse allowed two runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Reds.
Lohse was on his way to his fifth win before Brandon Phillips' game-tying home run in the eighth inning. It wasn't Lohse's fault, though, and the right-hander has allowed three runs or fewer in all seven of his starts this year. He'll take a 4-1 record, 2.72 ERA and 1.10 WHIP into an interleague contest with the Yankees on Saturday.

Kyle Lohse had another fine outing, holding the Padres to two runs (one earned) in seven innings as the Brewers took the victory on Wednesday.
Lohse improved to 4-1, allowing just five hits without a walk and striking out five in the effort. The 35-year-old continues to roll, now the author of a 2.38 ERA over five starts. He'll get to face a struggling Cardinals lineup in next week's start.

Fri Apr 18 201422:16Kyle Lohse downs Pirates to earn third win
Kyle Lohse allowed three runs (one earned) in 6 1/3 innings on Friday, defeating the Pirates en route to his third victory on the young season.
Lohse allowed four hits and three walks while striking out five on the evening. The often underrated and overlooked right-hander now sits at 3-1 on the year with a 2.67 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26/10 K/BB ratio in 27 frames. He'll look to continue his dominance on Wednesday when he does battle against the Padres in Milwaukee.

Sun Apr 13 201416:57Lohse limits Bucs to 1 ER over 8 2/3 innings
Kyle Lohse allowed one run on four hits over 8 2/3 innings in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Pirates.
Lohse was robbed of the chance for a complete game, giving way to the bullpen after allowing a two-out baserunner. It was still a splendid outing for the right-hander, as he kept the Pirates to four hits and no walks while striking out nine. He's 2-1 with two dominant starts under his belt through three starts, and he'll have a chance to improve on that against the same Pirates team next weekend.

Tue Apr 8 201419:55Lohse struggles, but walks away with a W
Kyle Lohse struggled with his control in Tuesday's start against the Phillies, but still walked away with the win after allowing three runs in five innings.
Lohse walked five and allowed seven hits while striking out four. The right-hander doesn't typically have control problems, but it may have only been a fluke. If the exorbitant amount of walks continue in his next handful of starts, then concern will be justified.

Tue Apr 1 201422:49Lohse victimized by homers in loss Tuesday
Kyle Lohse allowed three runs, all on home runs, over seven innings in Tuesday's loss to the Braves.
Overall, Lohse was very good, striking out eight while posting a 1.00 WHIP. The right-hander made just two mistakes, which Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman deposited in the seats for all three of the Braves' runs against him. It was an unfortunate result, and Lohse will look for a better result against the Phillies on Monday.

Kyle Lohse surrendered two runs in five innings of work in Thursday's start against the Reds.

Sat Mar 22 201420:37Lohse fans seven in 4th Cactus League outing
Kyle Lohse allowed four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits over six innings against the Angels on Saturday.
Lohse served up bombs to Mike Trout and Josh Hamilton, but otherwise relegated the Angels to singles. More impressively, the right-hander, who isn't known for his strikeout ability, whiffed seven batters in his six innings. He actually lowered his spring ERA with the outing, an indication of his rough spring. He should have one more start before the season begins to tighten some things up.

Mon Mar 17 201418:06Lohse lit up by the White Sox
Kyle Lohse struggled in Monday's start against the White Sox, allowing five runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Lohse allowed seven hits and walked two while striking out two. The White Sox weren't exactly tearing the cover off of the ball, as only Matt Davidson logged an extra-base hit. As Lohse relies more on his defense due to his low strikeout rate, he will have these kinds of outings from time-to-time.

Thu Mar 6 201418:23Lohse gives up two vs. Rockies
Kyle Lohse gave up two runs to the Rockies over three innings in Thursday's 5-3 win.
Lohse allowed three hits, but didn't issue any walks. The right-hander has had a career rebirth over the last three seasons, a function of further lowering his walk rate and slightly bumping up his whiff rate.

Sat Mar 1 201418:40Lohse puts up zeros over two innings Saturday
Kyle Lohse went two clean innings in his start against the Dodgers on Saturday.
Lohse posted all zeros in his first spring start. The right-hander is enjoying a normal start to spring after missing the first few weeks of camp last year while waiting for a team to sign him. The 35-year-old registered a 3.35 ERA over 32 starts with the club last season.

Kyle Lohse allowed just two hits in a 4-0, complete-game win over the Braves on Wednesday.
Lohse made quick work of the Braves, needing just 89 pitches to breeze through nine innings. The right-hander is finishing strong, as the complete game was his second in his last three outings. Lohse finishes the year with a solid 11-10 record and 3.35 ERA in 32 starts.

Kyle Lohse allowed three runs over five innings Thursday in a loss to the Cubs.
Lohse yielded seven hits (including two home runs) and one walk while striking out four batters. This was just the second time since June 4 that he allowed more than one home run in a start. He'll carry a 3.51 ERA into his final start of the season next week against the Braves.

Fri Sep 13 201323:28Kyle Lohse goes the distance in win over Reds
Kyle Lohse went the distance in a 5-1 win over the Reds on Friday night.
It was the ninth complete game of his career and his first since the 2011 season. Lohse held the Reds to just four hits and one walk while striking out five batters. He retired 23 batters in a row at one point. Not many things have gone right for the Brewers this season, but with a 3.46 ERA over 30 starts, Lohse has been a bright spot.

Fri Sep 6 201317:42Kyle Lohse gets tagged for seven runs
Kyle Lohse surrendered seven runs and 11 hits in five innings Friday in a loss to the Cubs.
Lohse gave up a grand slam as part of a five-run first inning, and while he bounced back a bit afterwards, it wasn't nearly enough. It was the first time since Aug. 23, 2011 that he's given up seven runs in a start. He's now 9-9 with a 3.59 ERA for the season.

Tue Aug 27 201323:49Kyle Lohse struggles in no-decision
Kyle Lohse was pounded for five runs on 13 hits over 5 1/3 innings of work but escaped with a no-decision in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over the Pirates.
Lohse is only partly to blame for his ugly line. He had held the Pirates scoreless though the first four innings and should have been out of the fifth with no damage, but Norichika Aoki was unable to corral a very catchable two-out drive from Felix Pie that was scored a double. After an infield single, Neil Walker followed with a three-run homer. You can trust Lohse next week at home versus the Angels.

Fri Aug 9 201311:31Kyle Lohse claimed off waivers, pulled back
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Kyle Lohse was claimed off waivers but pulled back after the Brewers couldn't work out a deal with the claiming team.
It's unclear which team it was, but it's a moot point. Lohse has posted a 3.23 ERA over 23 starts this season and is under contract through 2015.

Thu Aug 8 201318:25Kyle Lohse placed on waivers
CBS Sports' Danny Knobler reports that the Brewers placed Kyle Lohse on waivers Wednesday.
Of course, hundreds of players are placed on waivers at this time of the year, so it probably doesn't mean anything. Lohse has pitched well for the Brew Crew and could get claimed, but the odds of Milwaukee working out a deal with someone probably aren't high.

Sun Aug 4 201319:36Lohse allows two earned runs in no-decision
Kyle Lohse allowed three runs -- two earned -- over five innings in a no-decision against the Nationals on Sunday.
He struck out two and allowed five hits and a walk. Milwaukee chose to hang onto the veteran past the trading deadline despite ample league-wide interest. The decision wasn't surprising, as Lohse has given the Brewers a stellar 3.23 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through his first 23 starts.
