Mon May 16 201122:54Endy Chavez has nice night in win over CWS
Endy Chavez went 3-for-5 with a double and a steal in Texas' win over the White Sox on Monday.
A nice night for Chavez, who is worth a look in deeper AL-only leagues with Julio Borbon on the disabled list and Mitch Moreland battling a tight hamstring. Just don't expect him to have many more nights like this going forward.

Sat May 14 201110:04Chavez could be called up from minors
Endy Chavez was pulled from Friday's game with Triple-A Round Rock after Julio Borbon suffered a strained left hamstring.
Borbon will undergo an MRI on Saturday in order to determine the severity of the injury, but he's likely to be placed on the disabled list. Chavez, now 33, hasn't played in the majors since undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee in July of 2009. He is batting .303/.353/.445 with two homers, 17 RBI and six stolen bases over his first 142 at-bats with Triple-A Round Rock.

Sat Mar 26 201108:34Endy Chavez among Rangers' cuts
Rangers optioned OFs Doug Deeds and OF Endy Chavez, C Kevin Cash and IF Esteban German to Triple-A Round Rock.
No surprises here, as this group functions as organizational depth more than anything else for the Rangers.

Sat Dec 18 201017:34Rangers re-sign Chavez
Rangers re-signed outfielder Endy Chavez to a minor league contract.
The Rangers knew Chavez would miss the first third of the season when they signed him off knee surgery a year ago, but it turned out that he didn't contribute at all. He's healthy and playing in Venezuela now, but he'll have a tough time winning a job if Julio Borbon impresses next spring. With Borbon, Josh Hamilton and David Murphy on the roster, the Rangers wouldn't seem to have room for a fourth left-handed-hitting outfielder.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that Endy Chavez (knee) has joined Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Chavez batted .423 (11-for-26) with six runs scored in seven games between the AZL Rangers and Double-A Frisco. He is currently working his way back from major surgery on his right knee last July. The 32-year-old outfielder could be added to the major league roster as an extra outfielder and defensive replacement later this summer.
