Dunleavy scored 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go along with two rebounds, three assists and one block in 23 minutes Wednesday against the Bucks.
Dunleavy is an excellent three-point shooter and is a better defender than some people realize, but the Bulls are very deep and he's not going to log heavy minutes when everyone is healthy.

Dunleavy returned to the court Sunday against the Hornets, scoring seven points and grabbing nine boards in 30 minutes.
As expected, Dunleavy returned from a minor knee injury and immediately played big minutes as the starting small forward. The veteran will continue in the role when the regular season opens, though new additions Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic will challege him for playing time, particularly if they prove to be capable defenders.
Sat Oct 18 201422:21Dunleavy (knee) expected to play Sunday against Hornets
Dunleavy (knee) is expected to play Sunday against the Hornets, ESPN Chicago reports.
Dunleavy's injury doesn't appear to be serious and the Bulls just wanted to make sure they didn't make things worse by playing him in meaningless games. Dunleavy's absence has opened the door for Doug McDermott to work his way into the discussion for the starting shooting guard job. Dunleavy is used to coming off of the bench, so it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up there at some point this season.
Thu Oct 16 201412:21Dunleavy will not play Thursday against Hawks
Dunleavy will not play Thursday against the Hawks, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports.
Dunleavy slipped on a wet spot on the court during Wednesday's practice and appears to have suffered a minor injury that will hold him out of Thursday's contest. It's likely nothing that will hamper him long-term, however. Rookie Doug McDermott is the frontrunner to get the start in Dunleavy's place.

Dunleavy (knee) scored three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) to go along with four rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes Monday against the Nuggets.
Dunleavy resumed his normal starting job after missing one preseason game due to his knee injury. Although rookie Doug McDermott may eventually take over the starting small forward spot at some point this season, Dunleavy is likely to have the job for at least the start of the year if he is healthy.
Mon Oct 13 201412:50Dunleavy (knee) will be available to play in Monday's game
Dunleavy (knee) will be available to play in Monday's game.
The Bulls are all at full strength now, which is a good sign midway through the preseason. Coach Tom Thibodeau has said that an eight man rotation is his preference, but it seems that Dunleavy is in that mix, ahead of Doug McDermott and Tony Snell on the depth chart.
Sat Oct 11 201415:05Dunleavy (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game again...
Dunleavy (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Bucks, ESPN Chicago reports.
A sore left knee will keep Dunleavy on the bench against his former team, and it could jeopardize his availability for Monday's exhibition as well, but there's been nothing to suggest the issue is especially serious. Rookie Doug McDermott will replace Dunleavy in the starting lineup, marking his first start as a professional.
Tue Sep 30 201421:03Dunleavy practiced with first team Tuesday
Dunleavy practiced with the first team Tuesday, ESPN Chicago reports.
Dunleavy is the leading candidate to start at shooting guard, but he may not play typical starters minutes. Doug McDermott, Tony Snell and even Kirk Hinrich will be pushing him for minutes at shooting guard. If McDermott adjusts well to the NBA and Dunleavy struggles at all, there is a chance Dunleavy could lose his starting job.
Sat Jul 12 201416:21Mike Dunleavy not expected to be in deal
Mike Dunleavy is not expected to be included in the sign-and-trade talks in a potential Pau Gasol deal.
The Bulls now have Houston involved in a three-team deal, which is expected to be done today. The Bulls will likely have to give up some of player to lower their cap number and make room. He'll have low-end fantasy value on the Bulls next season.

Tue Apr 29 201422:48Mike Dunleavy (thumb) held to five points
Mike Dunleavy played through a bruised thumb on Tuesday but made only 2-of-8 field goals to finish the Bulls' season-ending loss with five points, five rebounds and two assists.
The Wizards' defense deserves plenty of credit for Dunleavy's quiet night, and they held Chicago to just 43.2 percent shooting in the series. Dunleavy averaged 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season, while making 38.0 percent of his 3-point attempts, and he should play a similar role while earning $3.3 million in the final year of his contract next season.

Mon Apr 28 201414:25Mike Dunleavy practices, will play Tuesday
Mike Dunleavy (thumb) practiced on Monday and will play in Game 5 vs. the Wizards on Tuesday.
He suffered a bruised left thumb on Sunday in Game 4 and there was never really much of a doubt he'd play in the upcoming home game. Dunleavy's 35-point outing in Game 3 is a big reason why the Bulls are still alive, but he cooled off in Game 4 with just six points. The injury came in the second half and didn't score before halftime, so the thumb injury had nothing to do with the weak line. He'll be in the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Sun Apr 27 201420:41Mike Dunleavy (bruised thumb) OK for Game 5
Mike Dunleavy (bruised thumb) will be in the Bulls' starting lineup for Game 5 on Tuesday.
X-rays came back negative and this is crucial news for the Bulls as they attempt to climb back from a 3-1 series deficit. Dunleavy is doing his part with postseason averages of 18.3 points on 54.1 percent shooting, 4.0 threes, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Sun Apr 27 201416:18Mike Dunleavy says he will play in Game 5
Mike Dunleavy said he will play in Game 5 on Tuesday after suffering a left thumb injury on Sunday.
He had an X-ray, but did not reveal the results. It's probably fair to assume they results were negative and he's just dealing with a contusion. He had his hand in a cup of ice after the game and will likely receive treatment leading up to Tuesday. After a massive 35-point game in Game 3, Dunleavy cooled off with just six points in today's loss.

Fri Apr 25 201423:58Mike Dunleavy explodes for 35, hits eight 3s
Mike Dunleavy was on fire during Game 3's 100-97 win at Washington on Friday, scoring 35 points with five boards, three assists and eight 3-pointers.
He shot 12-of-19 from the field for one of the most efficient lines of the postseason. Dunleavy set a franchise record for a playoff game with his eight treys, breaking Scottie Pippen's old record of seven back in 1997. He scored just 10.0 points per game in Games 1 and 2, so he'll likely be closer to that in Game 4 on Sunday. His hot shooting night dropped D.J. Augustin to just 24 minutes, down from 41 in Game 2.

Mon Apr 14 201423:06Dunleavy scores 22 points in Bulls win
Mike Dunleavy scored 22 points in the Bulls' 108-95 win over the Magic on Monday, hitting 8-of-11 shots (including three treys) with zero rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes.
Mike D is finishing the season on a strong note and he should be in most lineups if he's active on Wednesday. Joakim Noah nearly triple-doubled with 18 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block, and Carlos Boozer went for 13 and 12 with five assists in the win.

Tue Apr 1 201401:03Dunleavy scores 22 points in bounceback game
Mike Dunleavy bounced back in Monday's win over the Celtics, scoring 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting (3-of-6 from deep, 5-of-5 from the line) with three rebounds and three assists.
Despite some slower nights lately he has still been a solid late-round value over the last two weeks, averaging 11.1 points, 0.7 threes, 3.4 boards, 2.9 assists and 1.8 combined steals and blocks. He has hit just 37 percent of his field goals over that span, which means a regression in the right direction is probably in order. Given the upside he has shown beyond his recent production, owners should feel fairly good about picking him up.

Sat Mar 29 201400:57Mike Dunleavy can't find shot in loss to POR
Mike Dunleavy only shot 1-of-9 from the floor with one rebound and two assists in Friday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
Fantasy owners aren't expecting much since Dunleavy only shoots 42.6 percent from the field, but this was just brutal. Dunleavy's 32 minutes were his eighth consecutive game over 30 minutes, so there is at least some cold comfort in knowing that he's getting regular playing time. This game will likely count as Dunleavy's low-watermark for the month, but it's getting harder to own him in anything beyond deeper leagues.

Wed Mar 19 201421:38Mike Dunleavy solid again in win
Mike Dunleavy hit 5-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.
He's not going to knock your socks off on most nights, but he's playing very consistent basketball right now. Over his last five, Dunleavy is clocking 14.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 3-pointers.

Sat Mar 15 201423:06Mike Dunleavy scores 16 with three 3's
Mike Dunleavy had 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes on Saturday.
He's been pretty quiet recently, but had 21 points, seven boards and four 3-pointers on Thursday, despite taking 10 stitches above his right eye in that one. He's turning it on again and continues to start for the Bulls, but also benefitted from the fact Jimmy Butler hit just 1-of-11 shots tonight. If Dunleavy was dropped in your league, it might be time to grab him off the wire.

Thu Mar 13 201422:10Mike Dunleavy gets 10 stitches, scores 21
Mike Dunleavy needed 10 stitches in the first half against the Rockets on Thursday, finishing with 21 points, seven boards, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
He started the second half after a cut above his eye caused him to bleed badly on the court. Dunleavy has been a but up and down for the Bulls, but he's starting to pick it up again after failing to knock down a triple in any of his previous four games. His upside is high enough to keep him owned in standard leagues.
