Thu Jan 22 201518:27Mike Dunleavy: (Ankle) Out Thrusday
Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Thursday against the Spurs, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy took full part in practice Wednesday and was considered a candidate to return to the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Spurs. That apparently will not be the case, so Kirk Hinrich will likely receive another start. However, coach Tom Thibedeau hasn't ruled him out for Friday, but his status is questionable for the game.
Thu Jan 22 201511:58Dunleavy (ankle) game-time call for Thursday's game agains Spurs
Dunleavy (ankle) is a game-time call for Thursday's game agains the Spurs, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
Dunleavy is close to a return after sitting out the previous 10 games, but a decision likely won't come until he's able to assess his condition during warmups. If he's given the green light, he'll likely take Kirk Hinrich's place in the starting lineup. If he's ultimately ruled out, Friday in Dallas will be his next opportunity to take the court.

Dunleavy (ankle) took part in a full practice Wednesday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy has missed 10 straight games with an ankle injury, but his return to full contact practice indicates a return is near. Whether that will come Thursday against the Spurs remains to be seen, but Dunleavy should be considered questionable for that contest, as well as Friday's matchup with the Mavericks. When Dunleavy returns, Tony Snell and Kirk Hinrich should see reductions in minutes.

Dunleavy (ankle) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Cavaliers, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy will miss a tenth straight game since suffering an ankle injury against the Nuggets on New Year's Day. Nikola Mirotic should continue to see increased minutes in his absence, as could Tony Snell, who has been a surprising DNP-CD in each of the last two games.

Wed Jan 14 201512:43Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Wizards
Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Wizards, and he could still be a ways away from returning, Sean Highkin of Bleacher Report reports.
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Tuesday that he expects Dunleavy to return in four-to-five days, but Dunleavy himself said at Wednesday's shootaround that he's still unable to run comfortably. If his condition improves, a return over the weekend is certainly possible, but it seems likely he could remain out into next week. Continue to monitor his status on a game-to-game basis with the Bulls playing Friday, Saturday and Monday.

Dunleavy (ankle) did not practice Tuesday and remains unlikely to play Wednesday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy appears destined to miss his third straight game, which will likely allow Kirk Hinrich to remain in the starting lineup. Assuming Dunleavy sits out, consider him questionable to play Friday in Washington, D.C.
Mon Jan 5 201518:27Dunleavy (ankle) won't suit up Monday against Rockets
Dunleavy (ankle) won't suit up Monday against the Rockets, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy didn't practice last Friday due to a jammed foot, forcing an absence from Saturday's game. In his second consecutive DNP, it's unclear who exactly will start at small forward in his place, but both Kirk Hinrich and Nikola Mirotic should experience a bump in their typical playing time.

Dunleavy (ankle) has shed his walking boot, but is unlikely to play Monday, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
He is officially listed as questionable, but the sense from the Bulls' beat writers is that Dunleavy will sit out Monday. Nikola Mirotic and Kirk Hinrich both figure to continue to see extra playing time with Dunleavy out, although one of those two players will return to a reserve role as Jimmy Butler (personal) will be back in the lineup Monday.
Sat Jan 3 201512:08Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Saturday
Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Saturday, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
Jimmy Butler (personal) is also out, which will open up some extra playing time for Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks, Tony Snell and Nikola Mirotic. Coach Tom Thibodeau is always coy about how he plans to use his lineups, so it could be a game-time call on who starts at small forward, although Snell seems like a logical choice. Consider Dunleavy day-to-day with the ankle injury.
Fri Jan 2 201514:48Dunleavy didn't practice Friday due to jammed ankle
Dunleavy didn't practice Friday due to a jammed ankle, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Dunleavy's absence from Friday's practice Friday brings his availability for Saturday's game against the Celtics into question. The fact that it's just a jammed ankle likely indicates it isn't a long-term injury, but Saturday's shootaround should provide more information about his status, and he should receive an update should he be unavailable.

Dunleavy scored eight points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 24 minutes Monday against the Pacers.
Dunleavy played limited minutes yet again Monday, but this time came through with a very useful all-around stat line. Don't expect this to happen consistently though as his role this season has been reduced because of the Bulls deep roster.

Dunleavy scored six points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt) to go along with two rebounds, one assist and one block in 22 minutes Thursday against the Lakers.
Dunleavy has played 23 minutes or less in each of the last three games and has scored six points or less in each of the last five games. He will likely remain a member of the starting five, but the Bulls' excellent depth has left Dunleavy with fewer scoring opportunities this season.

Dunleavy broke out of a slump he was riding to have a big game in Sunday's win against Miami. He finished with 22 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 30 minutes.
Dunleavy was able to hit his shots from beyond the arc and provide a diverse line that he is capable of from time to time. He also had the benefit of playing against a depleted Heat team that couldn't always put a strong defender on him. Matchups like these aren't always going to come up, but keeping an eye out for them can provide short term value if needed.

Dunleavy scored four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt) to go along with six rebounds and one assists in 27 minutes Saturday against the Pacers.
Dunleavy remains in the Bulls' starting lineup and is averaging 10.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.9 three-pointers in 31 minutes a game. There was some thought during the preseason that he could lose his starting job to Doug McDermott and it could still happen at some point, but Dunleavy is outplaying the rookie at this time. He's not an elite fantasy option, but he does have some value based on his ability to shoot from behind the arc.
