Fri Mar 29 201322:17A.J. Price returns and plays 18 minutes
A.J. Price returned from a groin injury on Friday and played 18 points, scoring four with one assist against the Magic.
He'll be backing up John Wall and with Wall playing well, Price has very little fantasy value.

Fri Mar 29 201318:18A.J. Price will play Friday night vs. Magic
A.J. Price will be in the lineup Friday night against the Magic.
Earlier Friday we noted that Price might need to be shut down, so it's definitely surprising that he'll be able to play tonight. He'll share the backup point guard role with Garrett Temple.

Fri Mar 29 201312:04A.J. Price being called game-time decision
Updating a previous item, A.J. Price (groin) is being listed as a game-time decision on Friday against the Magic.
Just earlier today we noted that Price was having trouble walking and could miss the remainder of the year, so we would be shocked to see him suit up on Friday. John Wall and Garrett Temple should expect a heavy workload on Friday.

Fri Mar 29 201308:55A.J. Price (groin) could miss rest of season
A.J. Price (groin) may not play for the remainder of the season.
Randy Wittman said the team anticipates Price will be back, but the backup point guard still isn't walking right and doesn't have a timetable for his return. "I played for about a month that I was in pain," he said. "I played through it and I progressively got worse. I'm really trying to get back on the court." Price will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, and while he's out, Garrett Temple will continue to see more minutes in the backcourt.

Wed Mar 27 201311:54A.J. Price will not play again on Wednesday
A.J. Price (groin) will not play on Wednesday.
Price is out indefinitely and we're going to stop updating his status on a daily basis unless there is a change in his availability. He hasn't played since March 12 and Garrett Temple will see more minutes in Price's absence.

Mon Mar 25 201311:41A.J. Price still out due to his groin injury
A.J. Price (groin) is still having problems walking and he's not expected to play on Monday.
We're going to consider Price "out indefinitely" until further notice. He can't walk right, he's limited to just standstill shooting drills in practice and he doesn't appear very close to returning. While Price is out, Garrett Temple should continue to pick up some extra minutes.

Fri Mar 22 201309:56A.J. Price (groin) unsure of his return date
A.J. Price (groin) is uncertain of his return date, and he remains limited to just free throws and jumpers in practice.
Price is also moving "with a noticeable limp," so we can't imagine he'll be ready to go in time for Friday's game against the Lakers, especially considering Price said he's been playing through pain for about a month. With Bradley Beal (ankle) doubtful as well, Garrett Temple, Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster are all about to pick up some extra minutes.

Wed Mar 20 201321:16A.J. Price (groin) still out on Wednesday
A.J. Price (groin) will not play against the Suns on Wednesday.
This will be his fifth game missed with the groin issue and the Wizards have been leaning on John Wall. Fortunately, Wall has been great in his last five games, averaging 24.2 points on a whopping 58.4 percent shooting. Garrett Temple has stepped it up in Price's absence, too.

Mon Mar 18 201318:23A.J. Price (groin) will sit again on Monday
A.J. Price (groin) will sit out again on Monday.
This should mean a few more minutes as backup PG for Garrett Temple and Bradley Beal, regardless of which guy starts alongside John Wall. Price remains day-to-day with his injury.

Sat Mar 16 201318:35A.J. Price will not play on Saturday
A.J. Price (groin) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.
The Wizards are running out of bodies for the Suns and they'll be counting on John Wall more tonight. Wall put up a season-high on Friday and should have success. Price has little value in most leagues.

Fri Mar 15 201317:57A.J. Price still sidelined Friday vs. Hornets
A.J. Price (groin) will not play Friday night against the Hornets.
Price also missed Wednesday's game with the injury. Price has no real fantasy value, but his absence means increased minutes for Garrett Temple and likely Martell Webster, as well.

Wed Mar 13 201317:53A.J. Price won't play Wednesday against Bucks
A.J. Price has a groin injury and won't play against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Price has been the primary backup to John Wall but doesn't have a ton of fantasy value outside of deeper leagues. Garrett Temple, who will start for the injured Bradley Beal, will likely play a much bigger role than usual.

Sun Mar 3 201320:49A.J. Price shoots 1-of-7 in return to action
A.J. Price (quad) scored two points on 1-of-7 shooting in his return to action on Sunday.
Price played 17 minutes off the Wizards bench, adding two rebounds and three assists. He could pick up extra minutes if Bradley Beal (ankle/leg) is unable to play on Wednesday, but his value is restricted to deep leagues.

Sun Mar 3 201317:41A.J. Price will play vs. Philly Sunday night
A.J. Price (quad) will play against the Sixers on Sunday.
He did not return from his quad contusion on Friday, but odds are he's close to 100 percent. A.J. Price has been more composed than John Wall and has done a good job in a backup role. Wall has been careless with the ball and turned it over an average of 4.4 times per game over his last 14. Price still won't have value in standard leagues as long as Wall is healthy.

Fri Mar 1 201320:04A.J. Price done for night with quad contusion
A.J. Price suffered a quad contusion in the first half of Friday's game against the Knicks and he is doubtful to return.
It's a little disappointing to be ruled doubtful from just a contusion, which suggests it is more severe than most. Price going down means Garrett Temple will have to step up to back up John Wall.

Thu Jan 17 201300:59A.J. Price quiet in loss to Kings
A.J. Price had seven points and four assists on 3-of-8 shooting in 22 minutes on Wednesday.
Price has been playing great ball but reality caught up to him tonight. John Wall had 14 points and 10 assists in 26 minutes and is inching toward replacing Price as the starting point guard. It looks like it's time for Price's owners to move on.

Wed Jan 16 201308:27Price credits improvement to film work
A.J. Price said that his recent improvement is because he spent time watching film while he was injured.
Price was out with a broken hand, but he didn't just sit around. "When I was out, I had a lot of opportunities to watch a lot of basketball, watch our team, see what we were lacking, see what I could do. So that helped me a lot," he said. Since returning, Price is averaging 12.7 points on 48.1 percent from the floor to go along with 1.7 steals per game.

Mon Jan 14 201322:07A.J. Price scores season-high 18 points
A.J. Price scored a season-high 18 points against the Magic on Monday, adding one rebound, six assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
He's been very good since Wall came back, coming off a 16-point game on Saturday. Wall's minutes are on the rise, so it's going to be tough for Price to maintain solid production. We'd leave him on the wire in most formats.

Sat Jan 12 201321:55A.J. Price solid despite Wall's return
Despite John Wall's return, A.J. Price scored 16 points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 27 minutes vs. the Hawks on Saturday.
Price started at PG and will probably stay there as Wall works his way back into shape. Tonight's line was serviceable but fantasy owners shouldn't hesitate to cut him for someone with a more promising long-term outlook.

Sat Jan 12 201318:27A.J. Price back in the starting lineup
A.J. Price will start for the Wizards against the Hawks on Saturday.
Price hasn't started since he broke his hand on December 7. Unfortunately, John Wall will make his season debut and will play limited minutes. We'd leave Price on the wire in almost all leagues.
