Sat Aug 10 201316:16Pierre Jackson says he's playing overseas
Pierre Jackson said that he will play for ASVEL Basket in France this season.
He's an exciting player to watch and was one of the more athletic guys in the 2013 draft class. On the other hand, he's just 5'10" and would really struggle at getting open looks while other NBA point guards would post him up on the other end. The 42nd pick in the draft may have a tough time getting his NBA career going.

Wed Jul 24 201310:23Pelicans' Pierre Jackson heads overseas
Pelicans draft pick Pierre Jackson will begin his professional career with ASVEL Basket in France.
There was no lack of interest from teams overseas and presumably ASVEL will give Jackson plenty of playing time to develop his skills before making the leap back to the NBA. His departure gives Brian Roberts a clear path to backup PG minutes behind Jrue Holiday, though Tyreke Evans will probably dominate the ball for New Orleans' second unit.

Sat Jul 20 201315:18Pierre Jackson (eye) returns to action Friday
Pierre Jackson (eye infection) returned to action on Friday with five points in 10 minutes of action.
Jackson, the No. 42 pick in the draft, was acquired by the Pelicans on draft day. He could earn a guaranteed contract if New Orleans doesn't keep reserve guard Brian Roberts, but right now that seems like a longshot.

Thu Jul 18 201309:35Pierre Jackson (eye) iffy to return Friday
Pelicans rookie Pierre Jackson (eye infection) missed Wednesday's game and his status for Friday is uncertain.
He had been out with a knee injury but that's no longer an issue. Unfortunately, in two Summer League appearances he's averaging a paltry 3.0 points on combined 2-of-13 shooting.

Sat Jun 29 201311:24Pierre Jackson dealing with patella injury
Pelicans rookie Pierre Jackson has a left patella injury that might keep him out of the summer league.
Jackson was already an extreme longshot to make the Pelicans' final roster after being drafted No. 42 overall Thursday night, but a summer league absence would likely make it nearly impossible. Jackson appears bound for the D-League at this point.

Fri Jun 28 201315:07Pierre Jackson lands with Pelicans
Updating a previous item, the Sixers traded the rights to Baylor PG Pierre Jackson to the Pelicans Thursday night.
The Sixers selected Jackson at No. 42 overall, but they were actually picking for the the Pelicans as part of the Jrue Holiday/Nerlens Noel trade. So now New Orleans' point-guard depth chart includes Holiday, Greivis Vasquez, Brian Roberts and Jackson. They also have Austin Rivers, who they claim can play the point. Something has to give.
