Fri Dec 23 202217:00Evan Mobley, Lamar Stevens Questionable For Friday
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Evan Mobley (knee) and small forward Lamar Stevens (knee) have been deemed questionable to play in Friday's game vs. Toronto. Mobley has not missed a game this season en route to averaging 14.8 points and 9.1 boards as a staple of the Cavs' starting five, while Stevens has missed the past three contests due to a sore right knee. While Isaac Okoro has slid back into the starting five, the second unit trio of Kevin Love, Caris LeVert and Cedi Osman have all picked up the slack on the wing/in the frontcourt. While Stevens has reprised mostly a starting role in 2022-23, his value lies primarily on his on-ball defense, making him a difficult fantasy option, even if he does ultimately suit up Friday.

Mon Dec 5 202208:50Evan Mobley Has Another Good Showing
Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley maintained his double-double form on Sunday against the Knicks and posted four blocks and three assists in a 92-81 loss. He scored 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting in 39 minutes of action and grabbed 10 rebounds. Mobley continues to stay very busy in Jarrett Allen's (back) absence, with this marking his fourth double-double in five games since Allen was sidelined. He's been averaging close to 17 points and 12 rebounds with two blocks without his fellow big. The team hasn't even started to list Allen as questionable on the injury report, which indicates that his return isn't near, and that's great news for Mobley, whose averages for the season stand at 15.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks.

Mon Nov 28 202209:00Evan Mobley Stands Out Versus Detroit
Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley had one of his best outings of the season Sunday, finishing a 102-94 win over Detroit with 20 points and 13 rebounds. He missed only four of his 12 shots and nailed both attempts from downtown. Mobley also picked up an assist and a block with one turnover in 40 minutes. The 21-year-old took full advantage of an opportunity to run the frontcourt, as Jarrett Allen (back) was forced to sit out the contest. He could shine again on Monday against Toronto if Allen isn't ready to return. The two bigs complement each other well, but Mobley has fewer opportunities to grab rebounds with Allen present and there's an extra outlet on offense if he's not the lone big.

Tue Nov 8 202216:39Evan Mobley Scores 26 Points On Clippers
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley broke out of his mini scoring slump in a big way on Monday night. The 21-year-old registered 26 points, eight rebounds, and one assist before fouling out against the Los Angeles Clippers. He put up an efficient 12-for-18 shooting line as well. Mobley has consistently put up double-digit scoring efforts this season, but his 20-point games are a little more sporadic due to Donovan Mitchell's arrival. He's still a great fantasy asset in all formats and all sizes of leagues.

Wed Oct 26 202222:43Evan Mobley Drops 22 Points On Magic
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley had a fantastic showing during Wednesday's win over the Orlando Magic. The sophomore scored a team-high 22 points, going 9-for-15 from the field while adding three rebounds, one steal, and one block. Mobley entered this one averaging only 13.3 points per game, so fantasy managers were pleased with this performance. However, with Donovan Mitchell now in Cleveland, Mobley may continue to occasionally underwhelm on the scoring end moving ahead.

Sat Oct 15 202218:56Evan Mobley Logs 17 Minutes In Loss To Orlando
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley finished with eight points during the loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday. The sophomore shot a rough 1-for-4 from the field. However, he added two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 17 minutes. While it wasn't the most efficient showing from Mobley, fantasy managers were just happy to see him out there after being sidelined over the last few weeks due to a sprained ankle. The 21-year-old, who just had his 2023-24 option picked up by the team, is coming off a fantastic rookie campaign, ending the year by averaging 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 blocks. Mobley is expected to be more productive in 2022-23, although category participants hope he improves on his 25% career shooting from deep.

Mon Oct 3 202218:58Evan Mobley To Miss A Few Weeks
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley (ankle) is expected to miss the next week or two while he recovers from an injury. This means we probably won't see Mobley during the preseason. It's uncertain if Mobley will be ready for the season opener, but should be ready shortly after that. This minor injury shouldn't lower his draft stock by too much. Kevin Love and Lamar Stevens should get more playing time while Mobley is on the sideline.

Mon Oct 3 202211:30NBA Draft Analysis: Second-Round Rookies to Watch Early for Fantasy Basketball
It's funny that every year at the NBA Draft, once the end of the guaranteed money and live appearances arrives at the end of the first round, everybody tunes out and refers to the 60th pick as "Mr. Irrelevant." That's not very accurate though, is it? Speaking historically, the title of "Mr. Irrelevant" could just as easily be applied to each pick in the draft, as organizations differ greatly in their evaluation of talent and their own needs, particularly in a year without the NCAA tournament. The nickname just doesn't reflect how basketball works anymore. Executives strategically stockpile second-round draft picks for the less burdensome financial obligations, and organizations in rebuilding mode get super creative to field a respectable team on a budget.Particularly in the NBA where worldwide talent is plentiful and positional lines continue to fade, opportunity is everything: in the right situation, the right under-the-radar player can make an immediate, poignant statement. With professional development leagues for 16-18-year-olds, an ever-expanding set of domestic/international opportunities due to the sheer growth of basketball, and widespread NIL rights for college athletes, players of all levels and localities are starting to get their due exposure and now have enough freedom to hone their skills in a place, and at a pace, that fits best with their path to the NBA.Plus, I am inherently skeptical and distrusting of scouting from the high school level to pre-Draft. That's why in this annual article, I tend to favor overlooked college players (love the mid-majors/non-power conferences) with either well-rounded, polished games, or specific statistical specialties. We are going to discuss a handful of 2022 second-round picks and undrafted free agent signees who, given their individual skillsets and circumstances, warrant the attention of Fantasy Basketball Managers as potential high-impact rookies for the 2022-23 campaign who can quietly be acquired on clearance once they start showing signs of emergence. ... Fri Apr 8 202218:28Evan Mobley To Return On Friday
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley (ankle) will return to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He has missed each of the last five games, but will return at a great time. The Cavs have an important game in terms of seeding on Friday and need the help of Mobley. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Mobley to play his normal 34 minutes on Friday. Both Moses Brown and Kevin Love should see their roles reduced with Mobley back in the lineup. Luckily, the Cavs will get Mobley back in the lineup and able to get in some reps before the postseason.

Sun Apr 3 202214:43Evan Mobley Remains Out On Sunday
Cleveland Cavaliers forward/center Evan Mobley (ankle) won't play on Sunday versus Philadelphia, marking his fourth consecutive absence. Jarrett Allen (finger) remains out as well, although there's hope both men will be back before the end of the regular season. In the meantime, Moses Brown will likely continue to get some extra run, with the 22-year-old nearly averaging a double-double throughout four starts this year.

Sat Apr 2 202218:08Evan Mobley Hopeful To Play Before Regular Season Concludes
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley (ankle) is hopeful to get back on the court before the end of the regular season, according to head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Both Mobley and Jarrett Allen (finger) have a chance of playing before the playoffs. Cleveland is hopeful they can return in a week, which would allow them to play in the regular season finale. That being said, neither player sounds like they will be able to offer much in terms of fantasy production down the stretch. However, the Cavs will certainly be happy to get their two big men back in time for the playoffs. Kevin Love will continue to see a significant boost in production with Mobley and Allen out.

Wed Mar 30 202217:44Evan Mobley To Miss The Next Three Games
Cleveland Cavaliers rookie center Evan Mobley (ankle) will miss the team's next three games, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Mobley sprained his left ankle during Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. Kevin Love stepped his game up after Mobley exited on Monday. Love played 32 minutes in the game and tallied 19 points and seven boards. The earliest we could see Mobley back on the court is on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers, but he should be considered as questionable at best for that game at this point.

Tue Mar 29 202218:44Evan Mobley Ruled Out For Wednesday's Game
Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The rookie sensation suffered a left ankle sprain in Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. He was limited to just 13 minutes in the contest. X-rays on Mobley's ankle came back negative, which is certainly a good sign. However, it could be interpreted as a bad sign that he's been ruled out a full day before Wednesday's game. We will likely see Kevin Love jump into the starting lineup with Mobley out. Love is a great streaming option or DFS play on Wednesday. He racked up 19 points, seven boards and four three-pointers over 32 minutes on Monday.

Mon Mar 28 202220:27Evan Mobley Exits Monday’s Contest Early With Ankle Injury
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Evan Mobley (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against Orlando due to a sprained left ankle. Mobley played just 13 minutes prior to his exit, finishing with six points on 3-for-3 shooting with three rebounds. Cleveland is already short-handed in the frontcourt with Jarrett Allen (finger) down, with Mobley's absence likely to funnel more minutes and offensive responsibility in the direction of Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen. One of the leading candidates for the Rookie of the Year, Mobley entered the night averaging 15 points and 8.3 boards this year. His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday vs. the Mavericks, the first game of a back-to-back.

Tue Dec 28 202114:53Evan Mobley Hopeful To Play On Tuesday
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley is hopeful to suit up for Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He has sat out the last 10 days due to protocols, but has a chance of playing here. It's uncertain if the team plans to limit Mobley at all, assuming he does return. Kevin Love would lose some value with the return of Mobley. Although, Love would still be worth rostering in most formats because he has been playing well. Fantasy managers should check back later to see if Mobley is limited.

Fri Dec 17 202120:08Evan Mobley Earns Questionable Tag For Saturday
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Evan Mobley (hip) has been listed as questionable to play in Saturday's game against the Bucks due to a sore right hip. Mobley has thus far missed one contest due to the ailment, which allowed Dean Wade to return to the starting lineup and log his first double-double of the season Wednesday. Mobley has already notched seven double-doubles across his first 25 professional games, proving to be an adept shot blocker (1.8 per game) as well. Should he ultimately get the green light Saturday, Mobley would have an advantageous matchup against a supremely shorthanded Milwaukee unit.

Wed Dec 15 202118:27Evan Mobley Listed As Out On Wednesday
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley (hip) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets. He looked uncomfortable during Monday's game, so possibly the left hip was bothering him during that contest. Now, the team will have Mobley sit out at least one game. It sounds like Dean Wade will move into the starting five for Wednesday's contest. There's nothing to be excited about with Wade and fantasy managers should be able to find a better streaming option for Wednesday's busy slate.

Wed Dec 8 202122:15Evan Mobley Swats Five Shots In Win On Wednesday
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Evan Mobley swatted a career-high five shots during a 115-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. The 20-year-old also collected nine rebounds, an assist, and two steals across 32 minutes. The USC product went 8-for-11 from the field, scoring 16 points. Mobley has had a stellar start to his rookie season, averaging over 14.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game on 46.5% shooting from the field and 78.5% from the line. Mobley is a star in the making and his value in dynasty leagues is sky-high.

Sun Nov 28 202109:21Evan Mobley Returns With A Near Double-Double, Four Blocks
Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley returned from an elbow strain in fine form on Saturday, recording 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in a 105-92 win over the Magic. He also had three assists with one turnover in 33 minutes, shooting 5-for-12 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown. The third pick of this year's draft has become one of the front-runners for the Rookie of the Year Award, so it was great to see him make a quick and productive return. Mobley finds himself in a very favorable spot to start building momentum on Monday, as Cleveland takes on a Dallas team that has struggled against opposing bigs all season.
