Fri Nov 22 201318:03Al Harrington out again on Friday
Al Harrington (knee) will not play against the Raptors on Friday.
The Wizards took a chance on him in the offseason and they knew his knee was going to be an issue this season. Harrington will likely be sidelined until he's 100 percent healthy. There's little reason to keep him on almost any fantasy roster.

Wed Nov 20 201317:59Al Harrington will not play Wednesday
Al Harrington (knee) will not play against the Cavs on Wednesday.
He has some really bad knees and missed almost all of last year. Harrington was productive and had his hands in a win or two for the Wizards, but he's off the fantasy radar until he can prove healthy again.

Tue Nov 19 201312:38Al Harrington (knee) questionable for Weds
Al Harrington has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Minnesota.
Harrington hasn't played in the Wizard's last two games and it's looking like that number may be in danger of increasing to three as he didn't practice on Tuesday. The results of his MRI from Monday haven't been released, but Harrington did at least return to the team on Tuesday despite not practicing. Whether he plays or not, fantasy owners can feel free to look elsewhere for more upside.

Mon Nov 18 201314:42Al Harrington (knee) meets w/ doctors Monday
Al Harrington didn't practice on Monday, as he was meeting with doctors to develop a treatment plan for his right knee.
He has chronic issues in the knee and had an MRI this week, the results of which haven't been disclosed. Interestingly, Harrington is shooting just 36.5 percent from the field despite knocking down a career-high 42.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Fri Nov 15 201315:01Al Harrington needs an MRI on right knee
Al Harrington said he will "probably not" play on Saturday and will have an MRI on his right knee.
This is the same right knee that required "like three surgeries" over the summer of 2012, according to Harrington. The Wizards played him 23.5 minutes per game in last weekend's two outings, which could have been a mistake after playing only 10 games last season.

Fri Nov 15 201314:05Al Harrington is questionable for Saturday
Al Harrington (right knee) did not practice on Friday and is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bobcats.
He was believed to be just resting on Wednesday, but sitting out of practice and the team mentioning his right knee suggest he's not all the way healthy. Harrington is playing just 18.6 minutes per game and isn't worth owning in almost any league.

Wed Nov 13 201320:34Al Harrington might sit on Wednesday
Al Harrington could rest on Wednesday night, but is available to play.
He's a 33-year-old forward with bad knees, which isn't exactly a winning combo in a back-to-back set. The Wizards haven't got much out of their power forward and center on defense, especially in the restricted area.

Sat Nov 9 201300:29Al Harrington hits four 3-pointers, scores 15
Al Harrington shot 5-of-11 from the field for 15 points with two rebounds, one assist and four 3-pointers in 25 minutes off the bench during a 112-108 victory over the Nets.
He had season highs in points, threes, shots and minutes tonight while giving the second unit a nice boost at the power forward spot. Harrington didn't play more than 18 minutes in a game before tonight and has some chronic knee issues, so we'd like to see it again before thinking about picking him up in deep leagues.

Wed Oct 23 201322:28Al Harrington plays very well Wednesday
Al Harrington went off for 17 points, seven rebounds, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's preseason win.
Interesting. He's scored between 13 and 17 points in three of his last four games, can apparently still hit a 3-pointer, and has 17 rebounds, six assists and three steals in his five preseason games (as well as 11 TOs). And when you add in the fact he hasn't played more than 20 minutes in any of them, he could actually do some damage if he can get minutes. Then again, whether his knees can handle more than 18 minutes a game is another story. Just keep a close eye on him once the season starts.

Tue Oct 15 201322:03Al Harrington plays well in return Tuesday
Al Harrington played through a quad injury on Tuesday, hitting 5-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 14 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes.
With Nene and Emeka Okafor hurting, Harrington could actually make some noise this season. But at this point, he's a better pick up off waivers than a guy you want to spend a draft pick on.

Tue Oct 15 201309:50Al Harrington (quad) hopes to play Tuesday
Al Harrington (strained quad) hopes to play vs. the Heat on Tuesday.
He went through nearly all of Monday's practice. "I felt this kind of pain before, like when I run on the treadmill the first time, but it usually goes away after a couple of games, but this time it didn't," Harrington said. "If I play 15, 20 minutes [on Tuesday], I'm sure I could do that." The veteran forward gives Washington a guy to spread the court in certain lineups, but even at full health he's unlikely to hold value in standard fantasy leagues.

Sat Oct 12 201316:55Al Harrington out with a left quad strain
Al Harrington will not play on Saturday due to a left quad strain.
He had right knee issues to limit him to just 10 games last year, so this injury is unrelated. Harrington has aged quite a bit and he's no longer going to be counted on for 30 minutes per night. He'll help stretch the defense, but won't have enough consistency to matter in most fantasy leagues.

Sun Sep 29 201311:45Al Harrington not in game shape for Wizards
Al Harrington says he lost 27 pounds this summer, but he "didn't do a lot of running" and he isn't in game shape coming into training camp.
Harrington played 10 games last year before being shut down by a right knee injury and staph infection. He's now healthy and working to improve his conditioning, but he isn't sure if he can play minutes at center despite Emeka Okafor being out indefinitely with a herniated disc. "I lost a lot of weight this summer so I wasn't expecting to play [center]," he said. "We'll have to see how it plays out." At the moment, Washington will rely on Nene, Kevin Seraphin and possibly Jan Vesely for minutes at center.

Mon Sep 2 201310:47Al Harrington (personal) not working out yet
Al Harrington hasn't joined the Wizards yet because of a medical emergency in his family.
He signed a one-year, $1.4 million deal with the team earlier this month. Harrington flew back to Las Vegas after signing with the team, but there is no indication of his knee giving him problems. Hopefully, he gets good news for his family emergency soon.

Wed Aug 14 201311:30Wizards officially sign F/C Al Harrington
Wizards sign free agent F/C Al Harrington.
Harrington is hoping the Wizards young studs (John Wall, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter) can make the playoffs and possibly help him win a championship. Harrington is coming off knee surgery and the Wizards are simply hoping he can put some time in as a back up big man. Don't draft him in your fantasy league, regardless of how deep it is.

Tue Aug 13 201310:45Al Harrington says Wizards will make playoffs
Al Harrington said the Wizards will "definitely" make the playoffs this season in an interview Monday night.
"I'm excited and I feel like this team is definitely going to make the playoffs," Harrington said. While nothing is official, he is expected to sign a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum of $1.4 million if he passes his physical Tuesday. The 33-year-old forward only played 10 games last season for the Magic, and has a lot of work to do before earning fantasy consideration in most leagues.

Mon Aug 12 201321:01Harrington will have physical with Wizards
Al Harrington will have a physical with the Wizards on Tuesday and the two parties are believed to be close on a deal.
He's dropped 27 pounds this offseason and getting into that kind of shape suggests he's healthy enough to go through a lot of exercise, so he shouldn't have a problem passing the physical. Harrington's knee issues have kept him off the court quite a bit and he would have to prove his health before entering the standard-league conversation.

Mon Aug 12 201309:01Al Harrington leaning towards Wizards
Unrestricted free agent Al Harrington is leaning towards signing with the Wizards.
He cleared waivers on August 4 and there hasn't been an overwhelming amount of interest in acquiring the forward. Harrington battled a knee injury last season and played in only 10 games while averaging just 11.9 minutes per contest.

Sun Aug 4 201323:18Al Harrington clears waivers, now a FA
Al Harrington has officially cleared waivers and is now an unrestricted free agent.
No team would come near Harrington's remaining two-year, $15 million contract (half of which will be paid by the Magic), but he may find a home on a veteran's minimum contract.
