Mon Aug 1 202200:03Jose Miranda Hits 10th Homer Sunday
Minnesota Twins infielder Jose Miranda hit double digits in home runs Sunday, knocking his 10th home run of the season off San Diego Padres starting pitcher Sean Manaea. Miranda has been on some kind of hot streak of late, slashing .340/.392/.574 with six home runs over his last 30 games. He has a hit in six of his last seven games, with three-hit performances in three of those contests. There's every reason to believe Miranda will receive near-every-day playing time, and thus he's a worthy add in fantasy leagues of all formats.

Sat Jul 2 202213:18Jose Miranda Taking A Seat On Saturday
Minnesota Twins corner infielder Jose Miranda is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against right-hander Jordan Lyles and the Baltimore Orioles. Luis Arraez will be covering first base for the game while Nick Gordon is entering the starting lineup at center field. Miranda has quietly been putting things together at the plate lately. He's currently riding a six-game hitting streak and he maintained a solid .306/.342/.514 slash line over 23 games in June. Third base is one of the weakest positions in fantasy and Miranda's third base eligibility makes him all the more intriguing. He's certainly worthy of a look if you need help at the hot corner.

Sat Jun 4 202209:56Jose Miranda Homers Twice On Friday
Minnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda had the best game of his young career in Friday's 9-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in the game. The 23-year-old rookie was initially called up at the start of May and looked overmatched for the most part during his first two weeks in the majors. He was called up for the second time about a week ago and has now homered three times since his return. Miranda was dominant in the minors last year, slashing .344/.401/.572 while racking up 30 home runs, 94 RBI and 97 runs across 127 games split between Double-A and Triple-A. He's someone to keep an eye on in all fantasy leagues as he has a shot at being a difference-making bat.

Sun May 29 202212:35Jose Miranda Optioned, Royce Lewis Coming Up
The Minnesota Twins optioned third baseman Jose Miranda to the minors to make space for shortstop Royce Lewis on Sunday. Miranda, the team's No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will head back to the farm after going only 11-for-67 (.164) with 14 strikeouts in his first 19 major league games. The 23-year-old will surely be back in Minnesota, but he could use more seasoning at Triple-A St. Paul. Lewis, the club's top prospect, is starting in center field and batting seventh on Sunday against Kansas City Royals right-hander Zack Greinke. The 22-year-old played shortstop, third base, left field and center field in the minors when he was sent down after Carlos Correa returned from the injured list. Lewis should fill a super-utility role for the Twins and was hitting .308 with two home runs and five RBI in 39 at-bats earlier this year.

Mon May 2 202211:32Twins Calling Up Jose Miranda
Minnesota Twins infield prospect Jose Miranda posted on his Instagram account that he's being called up to the major leagues, and he's expected to join the Twins this week in Baltimore. First baseman Miguel Sano (knee) landed on the injured list on Sunday and outfielder Kyle Garlick (calf) is likely headed there as well, so the Twins need reinforcements. Miranda, the team's No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was hitting just .256 with two home runs, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in 21 games for Triple-A St. Paul before his call-up. However, the 23-year-old infielder has power to spare after hitting 30 home runs and driving in 94 runs in 127 games with St. Paul and Double-A Wichita last year in the minors. Miranda could play nearly every day with Minnesota, making him one to watch in deep mixed leagues.

Wed Mar 30 202220:45Twins Option Jose Miranda, Trevor Larnach
The Minnesota Twins optioned outfielder Trevor Larnach and third baseman Jose Miranda to Triple-A on Wednesday. Larnach made his big league debut with the team last year. He played in 79 games and slashed .223/.322/.350 with seven home runs, 28 RBI and 29 runs. Miranda, meanwhile, is one of the team's top prospects. The 23-year-old had a fantastic year in the minors last year. He split his time between Double-A and Triple-A, slashing .344/.401/.572 with 30 home runs, 94 RBI and 97 runs. Both Larnach and Miranda could be up in the majors some time soon, but Miranda is the one to really keep an eye on for fantasy purposes.

Fri Mar 25 202222:05Jose Miranda Diagnosed With Jaw Contusion
Minnesota Twins infielder Jose Miranda has a jaw contusion, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. The 23-year-old left Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Pittsburgh Pirates after he was hit by a ball on the basepaths. There were concerns that he experienced a concussion, but those concerns are gone and he shouldn't miss much action. Miranda hasn't had much luck this spring, hitting just .222 with a .495 OPS across nine games. He's ranked third by MLB.com on the Twins prospect list and should make his major league debut at some point in 2022. Steamer projects Miranda for a .280 batting average with nine home runs and one stolen base over 62 games next season. He probably won't play much of a factor in fantasy leagues this year, but is a good player to target in dynasty leagues.
