Thu Nov 8 201214:51Singleton heats up in fourth quarter
Chris Singleton scored 12 of his season-high 14 points on Wednesday in the fourth quarter.
Singleton posted season-highs in rebounds (five), steals (three), minutes (25) and points, including a dunk to send the game to overtime. However, his minutes figure to be unreliable going forward -- he had only played a total of 17 minutes in Washington's previous two games.

Fri Oct 19 201213:54Wizards exercise option on Chris Singleton
Wizards exercise the third-year contract option on Chris Singleton.
Singleton isn't on the fantasy radar in standard formats, but the Wizards are hopeful he'll develop into a solid defender on the wing with Trevor Ariza currently playing ahead of him.

Thu Oct 18 201207:50Chris Singleton returns, does nothing Weds.
As expected, Chris Singleton (shoulder) played on Wednesday, but didn't score a point in eight minutes.
Singleton didn't even take a shot from the floor, totaling just one rebound while turning the ball over twice. He's going to have to show a lot more than we've seen from him to become relevant in fantasy leagues.

Wed Oct 17 201210:24Chris Singleton expected to play on Wednesday
Chris Singleton (shoulder) said that he anticipates playing on Wednesday.
Singleton bruised his shoulder last week, but the injury clearly isn't serious if he's already ready to return. After playing 2-on-2 in Tuesday's practice, Singleton declared himself ready to roll. He's competing for minutes at small forward, and we'll need to see a lot more from him to consider him in standard leagues.

Sat Oct 13 201218:26Chris Singleton (shoulder) out Saturday
Chris Singleton will not play on Saturday due to a bruised right shoulder.
Singleton actually started 51 games last season, but he shot 36.3 percent from the field in those games and isn't a fantasy option. He now finds himself scrapping with Cartier Martin for minutes behind Trevor Ariza.

Fri Oct 12 201222:13Chris Singleton dealing with sore shoulder
Chris Singleton missed Friday's practice after suffering a shoulder injury during Thursday's game.
The injury is being called a 'sore shoulder' for now and it doesn't seem overly serious. If Singleton can stay healthy, he has a shot at some early season minutes if Nene (plantar fasciitis) and Trevor Booker (hamstring) continue to be sidelined. And if injury prone center Emeka Okafor (flu) breaks down, then the Wizards could be forced to rely on Singleton, who struggled in his rookie year.

Mon May 7 201210:01Chris Singleton unimpressive as a rookie
Chris Singleton ranked 56th out of 63 qualifying small forwards in player effeciency rating this season.
It's a fancy way of saying that Singleton was staunchly unimpressive as a rookie. The No. 18 overall pick started 51 of 66 games, but averaged just 4.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists. Even if Singleton starts at small forward again next year, he's well off the fantasy radar thanks to his limited offensive skills.

Sun Apr 1 201221:12Chris Singleton excels for Wizards on Sunday
Wizards rookie Chris Singleton scored 15 points before fouling out of Sunday's game, making all four of his 3-pointers with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and zero turnovers in 34 minutes.
Singleton is known as an excellent defender with shaky offensive skills, and he's shooting just 36.1 percent from the field this season (32.6 percent from downtown). It's helpful that almost 40 percent of his shot attempts are 3-pointers, but we're not going to bite unless he does this a few more times.

Sat Mar 31 201200:06Singleton could see minutes in Washington
Chris Singleton scored six points on 3-of-7 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, and a block over 23 minutes in the Wizards' 97-76 win over the Sixers on Friday.
The playing time and production are disappointing, and Singleton hasn't done much lately, but with the injuries to the Wizards' frontcourt he'll be a guy to keep in the back of your mind.

Tue Mar 27 201202:44Singleton disappoints on Monday vs. Pistons
Chris Singleton disappointed on Monday against the Pistons, scoring one points on 0-for-5 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 30 minutes.
Singleton had a small amount of buzz after showing he could hit threes and provide versatile stat lines, but he has still yet to turn that buzz into anything substantial. Just keep an eye on him as we're late in the year, teammates are getting injured, and he's already playing decent minutes.

Thu Mar 22 201222:35Singleton scores 16 points with three treys
Chris Singleton tied his career-high with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including three treys) to go with one rebound, zero assists, two steals, and one block in 36 minutes on Thursday.
Singleton hasn't made any real noise in the month of March, so we're hesitant to recommend a speculative add. But with Andray Blatche looking to be a shutdown candidate and minutes clear for Singleton, let's just say we're intrigued with the possibilities. In his last eight games he has averaged just under a three, steal, and block per game in 26 minutes, providing late-round to borderline value.

Tue Feb 28 201223:25Singleton has career night in loss to Bucks
Chris Singleton played 40 minutes and had career highs with 16 points and nine rebounds, along with a steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in Tuesday's loss.
He benefitted not only from the absence of Rashard Lewis (knee), but coach Randy Wittman benched JaVale McGee for the entire second half. Singleton's worth keeping an eye on, but is only worth adding in deeper fantasy leagues. He'll take a hit when Lewis returns, as well as when McGee's minutes return to normal.

Tue Feb 7 201201:33Singleton starts at small forward vs. TOR
Chris Singleton started at small forward on Monday, scoring four points on 1-of-4 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.
Singleton is versatile and has upside down the road, but still isn't worth fantasy consideration in most formats.

Mon Feb 6 201218:52Chris Singleton starting in place of Lewis
Chris Singleton, not Rashard Lewis, will start at small forward in Monday's game against the Raptors.
Lewis had started the last eight games, but the Wizards have gone 2-6 during that span. They might as well play Singleton, their No. 18 overall pick. Singleton has started nine games this season, averaging 5.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in those contests.

Mon Jan 23 201222:45Singleton plays six minutes off the bench
Chris Singleton played just six minutes off the bench on Monday.
Singleton loses all value outside of Dynasty formats with this result. He'll be worth keeping tabs on as the season goes on, however, with the Wizards likely to play their youth down the stretch.

Sun Jan 22 201217:13Singleton quiet again
Chris Singleton failed to build off of Friday's strong performance, scoring just two points and grabbing three rebounds in 18 minutes on Sunday.
Singleton is still starting for Washington, but has been losing minutes to the hot-handed Jordan Crawford and even Rashard Lewis. There simply aren't enough minutes to go around for Singleton to have any value right now.

Fri Jan 20 201223:11Singleton posts interesting line in 16 mins
Chris Singleton played just 16 minutes, but scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and two assists.
Singleton has been quiet and is playing in a log-jam, so owners should just take note of this line and wait to see if he can build off it.

Wed Jan 11 201223:02Chris Singleton starts, scores eight points
Chris Singleton started at small forward again for the Wizards on Wednesday and had eight points in 26 minutes.
The rookie should be watched closely in case he keeps starting over Rashard Lewis. Lewis came off the bench for six points and four boards in 21 minutes, making him the highest paid benchwarmer in professional sports history.

Wed Jan 11 201219:12Singleton, Booker starting again for Wizards
Chris Singleton and Trevor Booker will start at the forward spots for the Wizards again on Wednesday, meaning Andray Blatche and Rashard Lewis will come off the bench for the second straight game.
While this makes both Singleton and Booker intriguing fantasy pickups, we don't think you should drop Blatche. Flip Saunders may not be the coach for much longer and he's trying to shake things up and inspire his team. It worked on Tuesday, but it's hard to imagine Blatche coming off the bench all season. Keep a close eye on this situation.

Tue Jan 10 201222:43Chris Singleton starts over Rashard Lewis
Rookie Chris Singleton started over Rashard Lewis on Tuesday and had nine points, nine rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes as the Wizards finally got their first win.
Lewis came off the bench for 15 points and a 3-pointer in 27 minutes after missing his last game with a sore knee. Lewis is no longer a must-own player, while Singleton will be worth adding in many leagues if he continues to start. Monitor the Wizards' rotation and starters closely, as Flip Saunders will continue to tinker with the lineup in order to give his team the best chance of winning.
