Sat Nov 15 201418:04Fields (illness) will play Saturday against Jazz
Fields (illness) will play Saturday against the Jazz, the Toronto Star reports.
The 26-year-old has evidently kicked the flu bug, as coach Dwane Casey announced that Fields will return following a two-game absence. He won't be an option for fantasy purposes, however, having played a total of eight minutes in three games so far this season.
Thu Nov 13 201418:39Fields (illness) won't dress Thursday against Bulls
Fields (illness) won't dress Thursday against the Bulls, Josh Lewenberg of TSN 1050 reports.
Fields missed Tuesday's game with the flu, and it appears he hasn't gotten over the bug. Lucas Nogueira will take his spot on the bench Thursday against the Bulls. Fields shouldn't be held out too long by the illness, but his status for Saturday's game could be in question if it prolongs.

Updating a previous report: Fields (flu) has officially been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Magic.
As previously stated, Bruno Caboclo will be placed on the active roster in his place. Considering it's only the flu, it seems Fields will most likely be ready to play in the Raptor's next game against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
Tue Nov 11 201418:05Fields may not be available Tuesday as he fighting flu
Fields may not be available Tuesday as he is fighting the flu, TSN 1050's Josh Lewenberg reports.
If Fields can't go, Bruno Caboclo will dress in his place, but neither player will see enough minutes to be relevant in most fantasy formats.
Mon Nov 10 201410:14Fields scored two points and added steal in six minutes of garba...
Fields scored two points and added a steal in six minutes of garbage time during Sunday's shellacking of the 76ers.
He remains nailed to the very end of the Raptors' bench, and barring a rash of injuries to the club's wing players Fields won't have any fantasy value this season.
Wed Oct 8 201410:52Fields got start at small forward on Tuesday with Terrence Ross ...
Fields got the start at small forward on Tuesday with Terrence Ross (ankle) sidelined, but scored zero points in 14 minutes.
It will take injuries ahead of him on the depth chart for Fields to see much in the way of court time during the regular season, as Ross and James Johnson figure to get most of the minutes at the three. Even if he does get on the court though, don't look for Fields to make any kind of fantasy impact.
Wed Apr 30 201418:23Landry Fields available to play Wednesday
Landry Fields (back) is available to play against the Nets on Wednesday.
He missed Game 4 on Sunday due to back spasms which he appeared to suffer in Game 3. Fields is used more for when the Raptors need size or rebounding on free throw attempts and he's no lock to see double-digit minutes tonight.

Sun Apr 27 201418:26Landry Fields will not play on Sunday night
Landry Fields will not play against the Nets on Sunday due to back spasms.
He went diving into the stands on Friday and perhaps that's what caused this injury. Fields had back spasms earlier in his career and missed plenty of action, so he could be looking at a multiple-game absence. Greivis Vasquez and John Salmons may get some more run.

Mon Apr 21 201414:01Landry Fields may return to rotation in Gm 2
Landry Fields may return to the Raptors' rotation for Game 2 on Tuesday.
Fields "could get some time" defending Paul Pierce or Joe Johnson, according to beat writer Ryan Wolstat. He recently missed time with an upper respiratory illness but he's since fully recovered, and if he does play his minutes should come at the expense of Terrence Ross or John Salmons.

Mon Apr 14 201417:55Landry Fields out again with an illness
Landry Fields will not play against the Bucks on Monday due to an upper-respiratory illness.
He's been out of the rotation anyway and the Raptors won't miss him. Fields probably won't play on Wednesday night and has played just 10.7 minutes per game in 30 outings. Obviously, signing him was a bit of a mistake a couple off seasons ago.

Sun Apr 13 201414:16Landry Fields will not play on Sunday vs. DET
Landry Fields did not make the trip to Detroit as he is still fighting an upper respiratory sickness.
Even if Fields was in uniform, he might not have played as he's picked up his fair share of DNPs this season. Fields is averaging 2.3 points, and 2.0 rebounds on the season, and is not a fantasy option in any format.

Fri Apr 11 201417:35Landry Fields out with an illness
Landry Fields will not play against the Knicks on Friday due to a respiratory illness.
He won't get to play against his former team tonight, but the illness might have been a moot point in that regard considering he has four straight DNPs. Fields has no fantasy value.

Sun Mar 2 201418:44Landry Fields plays well in fill-in start
Landry Fields played well as a fill-in starter for Terrence Ross (ankle) on Sunday, scoring eight points on 4-of-5 shooting with six rebounds and one steal.
This came out of the blue given Fields' rough season, to put it mildly. The four-year veteran missed time after having wrist surgery and he's averaging a career-worst 2.3 points on 35.6 percent shooting, a far cry from his impressive rookie campaign with the Knicks (9.7 points, 39.3 percent from downtown). Ross may be ready to play in Toronto's next game on Friday and there's no reason to consider Fields in average fantasy formats despite this solid performance.

Tue Feb 18 201418:06Landry Fields (wrist) in uniform Tuesday
Landry Fields will be in uniform on Tuesday for the first time since having wrist surgery in January.
Whether he'll play is another question entirely, and either way he's not on fantasy radars, but it's good to see him healthy again. The Raptors will pay him another guaranteed $6.3 million next season before his contract mercifully expires in the summer of 2015.

Wed Jan 22 201411:57Landry Fields out after right wrist surgery
Landry Fields had "minor" surgery to address a nerve issue in his right wrist on Tuesday, and he won't resume basketball activities for three weeks.
Fields previously had elbow surgery to address his troublesome ulnar nerve, and his tenure with the Raptors is going from bad to worse. He's averaging just 2.4 points on 35.6 percent shooting this season, and had fallen out of the rotation with John Salmons playing well in a reserve role.

Mon Jan 20 201413:11Landry Fields out Monday for personal reasons
Landry Fields (personal reasons) didn't travel with the Raptors for Monday's game in Charlotte.
Fields hasn't had a significant foothold in the rotation all season and his absence won't alter any fantasy lineups.

Fri Dec 13 201317:36Landry Fields is active for Friday night
Landry Fields is active for Friday's game against the Sixers.
After getting the start on Sunday night following the Rudy Gay deal, Fields' minutes dropped to just 19 on Tuesday night. He was dealing with a neck injury during Friday morning's shootaround, but that has little to do with his lack of fantasy value. Terrence Ross serves as a much better pickup in most leagues.

Fri Dec 13 201314:06Landry Fields (neck) expected to play Friday
Landry Fields (neck) went through shoot around and is expected to play in Friday's tilt vs. the 76ers.
With Rudy Gay's departure, Fields has entered the starting lineup. However, in his previous start he finished with zero points on six shot attempts in 31 minutes of play. He is averaging 3.2 points, and 2.9 rebounds on the season, which tells you where Landry's fantasy value is, leave him on the wire.

Mon Dec 9 201300:36Landry Fields scoreless in 31 minutes at SF
Landry Fields moved into the Raptors' starting lineup on Sunday but he missed all six of his shot attempts to finish scoreless with five rebounds in 31 minutes.
Fields' game isn't geared toward fantasy value and nothing about his play this season suggests he's on the verge of a breakout with more playing time. Rudy Gay's departure could permanently hand him the SF job, but Terrence Ross also gains significant ground without Gay hogging playing time and shots. Owners should take a wait-and-see approach as Dwane Casey sorts out his new rotations.

Sat Oct 5 201312:30Landry Fields to handle the ball more often
Dwane Casey expects Landry Fields to handle the ball and facilitate the offense more often this season.
Fields' 2012-13 season was splotched with with DNPs related to his elbow, which was surgically-repaired last November. Even if he does handle the ball more often with the second unit, it's hard to like his fantasy value with Terrence Ross, Austin Daye, Steve Novak and Quincy Acy all vying for minutes on the wings.
