Tue Mar 1 202215:26John Collins Has A Chance To Play On Tuesday
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (foot) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. However, GM Travis Schlenk mentioned that Collins has a chance of playing during Tuesday's contest. It seems unlikely, but it does sound like Collins might be able to play later in the week. Possibly, he returns on Thursday or Saturday, assuming he doesn't play on Tuesday. The Hawks are likely to somewhat ease him back in action since Collins has missed multiple games. In the meantime, Danilo Gallinari will continue to start and be a solid streaming option until Collins returns.

Mon Feb 28 202217:30John Collins Doubtful For Tuesday's Game
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins (foot) has been listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Assuming he indeed sits out for the game, this will be the sixth straight game he's missed due to a right foot strain. Danilo Gallinari will continue to start and see heavy minutes with Collins out, though Gallo struggled significantly in the team's most recent game against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. He shot just 1-for-9 from the field over 30 minutes, totaling just three points. Onyeka Okongwu is another player to keep an eye on with Collins out. Okongwu compiled 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocks over 27 minutes on Saturday.

Fri Feb 25 202221:49John Collins Will Sit Out Versus Raptors
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Toronto Raptors. This marks five games in a row that Collins has missed due to a right foot sprain. It doesn't sound like Collins is nearing a return, so fantasy managers should prepare to be without Collins for a few more games. In the meantime, Danilo Gallinari is likely to benefit the most without Collins on the court. Gallinari is worth rostering in most formats until Collins returns.

Thu Feb 24 202218:41John Collins Will Miss Thursday’s Contest
Atlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Bulls due to a strained right foot. Collins' absence will mark his fourth in a row, paving the way for Danilo Gallinari to remain among the starting five. While Collins has been down, Gallinari has averaged 13.7 PPG. When healthy, Collins has continued to produce at a high level, averaging 16.8 points and 7.9 boards per outing, all while shooting 53.7 percent from the field overall. His next chance to suit up comes Saturday against Toronto.

Wed Feb 23 202221:11John Collins Doubtful Against Bulls
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (foot) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls. He missed the final three games before the All-Star break due to a foot sprain. Danilo Gallinari has been asked to pick up the slack with Collins sidelined. He has been inconsistent on the court, but is playing nearly 30 minutes per game. That being said, Gallinari is worth looking at as a streaming option while Collins is out. It's uncertain when Collins will return, but the Hawks are likely to be cautious with their star forward.

Sat Feb 12 202221:20John Collins Sidelined Through The All-Star Break
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (foot) will be sidelined through the All-Star break. He exited Friday's game due to what was announced as right heel pain. Instead, Collins suffered a right foot sprain, which will require him to receive treatment through the All-Star break. Onyeka Okongwu figures to see more playing time, but Danilo Gallinari might end up benefiting the most in the absence of Collins. Fantasy managers should quickly check the waiver wire and see if Gallinari is available. He should be able to hold standard league value while Collins is out.

Sat Feb 12 202218:05John Collins Will Miss Sunday’s Contest
Atlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Celtics due to a strained right foot. Collins exited Friday's loss early due to the ailment, which will keep him sidelined for the first time since Jan. 5. Danilo Gallinari figures to see a slight minutes uptick, while De'Andre Hunter and Onyeka Okongwu are candidates to see additional frontcourt run. Collins, who is averaging 16.8 points and 7.9 boards per outing, stuck with the Hawks through the Trade Deadline, giving him a solid floor of production (assuming he stays healthy) during the second half of the year.

Fri Feb 11 202221:57John Collins Removed Early On Friday
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (heel) was removed early during Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Collins is reportedly dealing with right heel pain and won't return to action here. He struggled heavily in this game and finished with four points in 22 minutes on the court. Fantasy managers are going to have to wait until after the game for more details on Collins. Danilo Gallinari would become a popular waiver wire addition, assuming Collins is forced to miss time.

Tue Feb 8 202218:42John Collins Set To Play On Tuesday
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins (heel) is active for Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Collins has been dealing with right heel discomfort and he was listed as questionable going into the day. Fellow forward Danilo Gallinari (hamstring) is also active for the game. Collins is coming off a monster game in which he racked up 22 points and 18 boards. However, there's a chance that the team will hold him back a bit on Tuesday. The Pacers will be extremely short-handed for the game with only eight players suiting up due to injuries and their blockbuster Domantas Sabonis trade. In short, the Hawks should be able to take care of business easily with or without Collins' help, so don't be shocked if he doesn't produce big numbers on Tuesday.

Mon Feb 7 202221:25John Collins Probable For Tuesday's Game
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins (heel) is listed as probable on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. He is currently dealing with right heel discomfort. He played through the injury against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday and went on to post a massive double-double with 22 points and 18 boards. Collins also recently suffered a shoulder injury last week, but it didn't cost him a game. The 19-36 Pacers could present an attractive opportunity for the Hawks to rest Collins, especially with the team having two days off after Tuesday's game. However, at this point, we should plan to see him play without restrictions. The 24-year-old is averaging 17.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game on the year.

Fri Feb 4 202218:53John Collins Available On Friday
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (shoulder) is available for Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors. There was concern whether or not Collins would play in this game after suffering a shoulder injury during their last contest. However, it appears Collins is fine to play on Friday and is expected to resume his normal role on offense. Possibly, Collins has an increased role with Danilo Gallinari (hamstring) sitting out. Regardless, fantasy managers in season long formats can go ahead and get Collins back in their lineups for Friday.

Fri Feb 4 202215:22John Collins, Lou Williams Questionable To Play Friday
Atlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins (shoulder) and shooting guard Lou Williams (back) have been deemed questionable to suit up for Friday's game vs. Toronto. In Collins' case, right shoulder soreness is the best case scenario after he appeared to sustain a significant injury Thursday. With Danilo Gallinari (hamstring) already out, De'Andre Hunter would stand to play an even larger role in the frontcourt if Collins is absent, with Jalen Johnson looming as an upside play. Williams has settled into a consistent 14-18-minute role off the bench, having scored at least seven points in nine straight games, albeit offering little else to keep him on the season-long radar. Fantasy managers will want to check back at tip-off for the final word.

Thu Feb 3 202221:52John Collins Exits Early On Thursday
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (shoulder) was unfortunately not able to get through Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. He exited during the fourth quarter with what appears to be a separated shoulder. This could be an issue that forces Collins to miss multiple games. The All-Star break is approaching, so maybe the Hawks take the cautious approach here. Fantasy managers will have to wait and see how bad his injury is following Thursday's contest. Onyeka Okongwu and Danilo Gallinari are candidates to see more playing time, assuming Collins misses time. Gallinari is the better option between the two and should be watched closely in fantasy formats now.

Wed Jan 12 202219:14John Collins Will Play Wednesday
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins (back) will play during Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. He has been active over the last two games, but missed time before that due to COVID-19 protocols. It doesn't appear that the back issue is going to be something that causes him to miss time. Instead, Collins should be asked to pick up the slack with the Hawks shorthanded on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should make sure he's in their lineups for season long formats. Collins is also worth looking at as a DFS option for Wednesday's slate with some of the Hawks playmakers sidelined.

Wed Jan 5 202219:25John Collins Clears COVID-19 Protocols
Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins has cleared the league's health and safety protocols. Although, Collins won't be available for Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Instead, the organization plans to meet up with Collins in Los Angeles for their weekend series. There is a chance he plays Friday, but it's more likely he suits up Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Until then, Trae Young and Clint Capela will be asked to carry the load for the Hawks. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Collins to see if he does suit up at all this weekend.

Thu Dec 23 202108:29John Collins Notches A Third Consecutive Double-Double
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins extended his double-double streak to three games on Wednesday, recording 28 points and 12 rebounds in a 104-98 loss versus Orlando. He added two assists and two blocks with three turnovers, shooting 9-for-17 from the field and 7-for-8 at the line with a 3-for-5 effort from deep. Collins was the only regular starter due to the team's COVID-19 issues and ended up logging a season-high 41 minutes. The big workload could leave a mark on his Thursday's performance. It's a very tough matchup anyway against Joel Embiid and the Sixers. Collins finds himself in a much better spot to perform on Christmas Day versus the Knicks.

Sat Dec 18 202112:53John Collins Posts A Double-Double In Loss Friday
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins logged his eighth double-double of the season by pouring in 20 points and 10 boards during a 133-115 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday. The 24-year-old shot 7-for-13 from the field, including 1-for-4 from deep, and 5-for-5 from the line. The Wake Forest product also added in two assists, two steals, and two turnovers across 33 minutes. Collins is enjoying another solid campaign, averaging 17.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 triples, and 2.0 stocks per game while shooting 55.6% from the field, 39.6% from behind the arc, and 79.4% from the line. Collins faces a tough matchup Sunday in Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who held Collins to six points during their matchup in October.

Thu Dec 16 202108:32John Collins Returns To Double-Double Form Versus Magic
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins returned to the double-double column on Wednesday, finishing a 111-99 win over Orlando with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He also posted two assists, whilst hitting 8-for-14 from the field and 2-for-4 from outside. It would've been great if Collins had managed to provide some defensive starts here, but this was a very solid performance overall. He'll now head into a favorable matchup against the Nuggets, who have allowed the eighth-most point in the league to opposing power forwards this season. They also have one of the worst rebounding numbers in the league against the position.

Mon Dec 6 202108:11John Collins Scores Season-High 31 Points Against Charlotte
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins scored a season-high 31 points during a double-double performance in Sunday's loss to the Hornets, shooting 12-for-22 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown with a 5-for-5 effort at the charity stripe. He secured his sixth double-double of the season with 12 rebounds and Collins completed his line with four assists and two turnovers. This was a rare game without any defensive stats for Collins. The Wake Forest product should have another good outing on Monday against the Timberwolves, who tend to give up a lot of rebounds to power forwards and whose defensive numbers against the position aren't too good.

Sat Nov 13 202108:09John Collins Goes For 26 Points Friday Night
Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins enjoyed a 26-point night in Friday's 105-96 loss to the Nuggets, shooting 11-for-22 from the field and 3-for-5 at the foul line. He was one rebound short of a double-double and capped off his fantasy line with one steal and two blocks while shooting 1-for-6 from deep. Collins got going here again after laying an egg with seven points in Tuesday's 110-98 loss against Utah. He's blown hot and cold pretty much all season and fantasy managers have to take that into consideration ahead of the next matchup, which is a tough one against Milwaukee. Collins did, however, enjoy the challenge of taking on Giannis Antetokounmpo's crew last season, going for 24 points a night on 61 percent shooting in two outings.
