Sun Aug 8 201018:29Wilson slips in bathroom, breaks bone in hand
Jack Wilson fractured the fifth metacarpal in his right hand while falling in his bathroom on Sunday.
Wilson will see a specialist on Monday, but it's very possible that his season could be over. Either way, it's a near certainty that he's headed for the disabled list. He's hitting .249 with 14 RBI in 61 games. Josh Wilson will take over at shortstop.

Mariners activated SS Jack Wilson from the 15-day disabled list.
Wilson hasn't played since May 5 and was batting .253/.275/.347 with seven RBI over 75 at-bats prior to his strained right hamstring injury. Josh Wilson has been a great replacement, hitting .288/.346/.390 in 159 plate appearances, so it'll be interesting to see how playing time shakes out.

Jack Wilson (strained right hamstring) played five innings for Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday and reported no problems.
Wilson will play for Tacoma again on Thursday and it's possible he could rejoin the Mariners on Monday. Josh Wilson has done a nice job filling in and the Mariners would be wise to let Josh keep getting at-bats.

Tue Jun 1 201009:19Jack Wilson took batting practice Monday
Jack Wilson (hamstring) took early batting practice on Monday.
Wilson began a rehab assignment in mid-May and was maybe a day or two from returning to the Mariners, but strained his hamstring at the worst of times. He's now rehabbing that injury and is probably about a week from rejoining one of the M's minor league affiliates for some live action.

Sun May 23 201010:04MRI reveals strained hamstring for M's Wilson
An MRI taken on Saturday revealed that Jack Wilson's setback in rehab was due to a strained hamstring.
Tightness in the hamstring was what landed Wilson on the disabled list in the first place, so this obviously isn't a good thing. The injury certainly means an extended amount of time on the DL for Wilson, which has him pondering retirement. We don't think the injury is quite that severe, but if Wilson feels that it will plague him for the rest of his career, perhaps he'll get out now.

Mariners placed SS Jack Wilson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 6, with right hamstring tightness.

Though he's out of the starting lineup again on Friday, Wakamatsu said Wilson would be available in an emergency.

Thu May 6 201009:03M's Wilson (hamstring) is day-to-day
Jack Wilson is day-to-day with tightness in his right hamstring.
Wilson tweaked his hamstring while running out a bunt on Wednesday. "I was just running to first on the bunt and felt a pretty good tug," said Wilson. "Actually it felt like I pulled a muscle, but they're thinking it could be scar tissue from spring training. It's the same exact thing I had. If that's the case, it's definitely a much better situation." He'll be reevaluated on Thursday.

Sat Apr 24 201009:44Wilson's injury not serious
Jack Wilson, who left Friday night's game with a thumb injury, is expected to avoid a stint on the disabled list.
X-rays of the thumb were negative, which is great news for Wilson. He'll miss two or three days waiting for the swelling and soreness to subside, but nothing on the order of the six to eight weeks it could have taken for a fracture to heal. Matt Tuiasosopo is expected to be Wilson's primary replacement.
