Wed Aug 1 201214:25Agent: Milicic will play in the NBA again
Darko Milicic's agent said his client is not looking at offers overseas and plans to play in the NBA this season.
Milicic, who was amnestied by Minnesota this summer, has been rumored to be in talks with the Heat and his agent has said that Darko is still looking at several teams, but remains without a timetable to sign. The free agent market is drying up quickly, so no matter what his agent is trying to say to pump up Darko, the clock is ticking for him to get even a veteran's minimum offer. Milicic has been very underwhelming in his NBA career to this point and that's not going to change any time soon.

Wed Jul 18 201207:21Darko being targeted by Clippers, Nets, Celts
The "frontrunners" for unrestricted FA Darko Milicic are the Celtics, Nets and Clippers, a source tells Yahoo! Sports.
Milicic pretty much defines "veteran's minimum" at this stage in his career, and he's not expected to offer much value regardless of where he lands.

Sat Jul 14 201217:09Darko Milicic unclaimed in waiver process
Darko Milicic, who was amnestied on Thursday, passed through the waiver process unclaimed.
None of the five teams under the salary cap felt he was worth even the veteran's minimum, which says something about his market value. It's probable that an over-the-cap team will scoop him up for a minimal amount now that he's an unresticted FA.

Thu Jul 12 201213:00Wolves waive Darko Milicic w/ amnesty clause
The Wolves have waived C Darko Milicic using the amnesty clause.
He'll now be on waivers for 48 hours and teams under the cap will have a chance to bid on him. It will take approximately $2 million to get him, and our guess is a team will claim him to be their backup center. And somewhere, Chris Webber is still laughing at David Kahn.

Thu Jul 12 201210:52Wolves set to amnesty waive Darko Milicic
The Timberwolves will reportedly waive C Darko Milicic using the amnesty clause.
The man that David Kahn once called "Manna from heaven" got off to a nice start in Minnesota, but injuries and the fact he's Darko eventually took over. The Wolves were 45-129 with Darko on the roster, while it's believed the move is being made so that the Wolves can sign Nicolas Batum to an offer sheet, that the Blazers will likely match. Darko has two years and $10 million left on his contract.

Mon Apr 30 201212:16Darko Milicic done with the Wolves
Darko Milicic "almost certainly" has played his last game for the Timberwolves, according to the Star-Tribune.
The Wolves could use the amnesty clause to rid themselves of Milicic's $5 million contract. But the point is that coach Rick Adelman sees no use for Darko and is ready to ride with Nikola Pekovic as the long-term starting center. Milicic appeared in just 29 games this season.

Wed Apr 18 201209:42Darko Milicic likely done for the season
Darko Milicic (hamstring) is not likely to play again this season.
"I don't think so," Rick Adelman said when asked if Milicic will suit up in any more games this season. He hasn't played since March 18, and he's owed north of $5 million for next year.

Tue Apr 10 201208:46Adelman not optimistic on Milicic's status
Rick Adelman "all but said" Darko Milicic (hamstring) won't play again this season.
This news should not impact your fantasy league whatsoever, as Darko is not on the fantasy radar.

Mon Apr 2 201210:05Darko Milicic sidelined by hammy
Darko Milicic (hamstring) is not traveling with the Wolves.
Even though Nikola Pekovic (ankle) has been out, Milicic hasn't appeared in any of the last eight games. Coach Rick Adelman has seen enough of Darko's ineptitude.

Wed Mar 21 201223:25Rick Adelman calls out Darko Milicic
Asked why Darko Milicic received his second straight DNP-CD on Wednesday night despite the absence of Nikola Pekovic, head coach Rick Adelman didn't hold back from expressing his disappointment in Milicic's conditioning and focus.
"He hasn't done anything to give you faith that he's going to go out and do the job," Adelman said. "He's gotten himself out of shape, and I don't think he's been as driven as you'd like." Needless to say, Darko shouldn't be owned in any fantasy leagues.

Sun Mar 18 201223:26Darko Milicic awful in spot-start for Pekovic
Darko Milicic did nothing in a start for injured Nikola Pekovic (ankle), scoring two points with zero rebounds in six minutes on Sunday.
Darko! was coming off four consecutive DNPs and has no fantasy value while Pekovic is merely day-to-day. He gives Minnesota some emergency depth at center, but the team is basically counting the hours until his contract expires after next season.

Sat Mar 10 201200:51Darko! plays eight minutes vs. Lakers
Darko Milicic played just eight minutes on Friday with Nikola Pekovic (ankle) back in the starting lineup.
Pekovic played 40 minutes, crushing any question about whether or not there is the slightest hint of a position battle. Darko! belongs on the waiver wire.

Tue Mar 6 201202:41Milicic starts for injured Pekovic (ankle)
Darko Milicic started for injured Nikola Pekovic (ankle) on Monday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting with four rebounds and a block in 28 minutes.
Pekovic's ankle injury doesn't sound overly serious, at least by current reports, and there is no position battle that we can see. If you're looking for a spot-starting center and Pek misses more time, give Darko! a look.

Tue Feb 28 201217:22Darko Milicic will get his 'chance' this week
Coach Rick Adelman said Darko Milicic will get his chances this week as the Wolves take on the Clippers and Lakers.
Milicic certainly isn't a threat to Nikola Pekovic, but Adelman is anticipating some problems with the size of the upcoming opponents. Therefore, Darko may see more than the 10 total minutes he's played in the last six games.

Tue Feb 21 201215:00Darko Milicic has a stomach-muscle injury
Darko Milicic is dealing with a stomach-muscle injury.
There's a big difference between a flu bug and a muscle strain in the oblique region. Milicic is day-to-day, but has never been a fast healer and plays poorly through injury. It's unclear if Darko could go if Nikola Pekovic (ankle) can't on Wednesday.

Mon Feb 20 201220:20Darko not with the Wolves on Monday
Darko Milicic (stomach) did not travel with the team for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
With Nikola Pekovic having a big year, there's no reason for the Wolves to push Darko back. When Darko does return, he is not a threat to Pekovic's playing time.

Mon Feb 13 201221:19Darko! returns and plays four minutes
Darko Milicic (ankle) returned to action on Monday, playing just four minutes with one block and three fouls.
Nikola Pekovic went for 16 and 13 with a steal and block, and no, we don't think Darko has a chance of cutting into his minutes.

Mon Feb 13 201212:48Darko Milicic expected to play Monday
Darko Milicic (ankle) is expected to play in Monday's game against the Magic.
Darko was starting before his injury, but it's hard to see the Wolves removing a red-hot and impressive Nikola Pekovic from that role. Either way, both centers will be needed Monday as they try to deal with Dwight Howard. Pekovic has earned 25-30 minutes per game while Milicic has been injury-prone and mostly unproductive throughout his career.

Sun Feb 12 201209:55Wolves hope Darko (ankle) will return Monday
Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman hopes that Darko Milicic (ankle) will return for Monday's game at Orlando.
Milicic has missed five straight games, and in the meantime Nikola Pekovic may have put a stranglehold on the starting center job. Teams don't usually like players to lose their role due to injury, so it's possible that Darko will resume starting once he's healthy -- either way, Pekovic has proven his value and we know what Darko can if do (and can't do), so Pek's owners shouldn't be concerned.

Sat Feb 11 201219:04Darko Milicic (ankle) out again on Saturday
Darko Milicic (sprained right ankle) has been ruled out again on Saturday.
It seems very unlikely that Darko will overtake Nikola Pekovic for the starting gig at this point, and owners should simply hang onto Pek and hope for the best. There's no clear timetable for Darko's return.
