Getting the day off, Helton was called on to pinch hit with the bases loaded in the eighth inning of a 4-0 ballgame, and proceeded to yank a Tim Byrdak pitch to deep right field to tie the game and ultimately send it to extras. Helton's fourth home run of the season was his first grand slam, and leaves him with a .270/.352/.587 triple slash through Colorado's first 21 games. |
